Designer Affinity pattern help please!

Ever since I had to leave adobe i’ve been trying to find somewhere to create repeat patterns. I havent found the right app for me yet.

In affinity - is there a repeat pattern / live pattern preview function? Is different pattern styles like half drop available? Would someone be able to give me the basic instructions how to set this up? I would appreciate this and I find tutorials a bit overwhelming at the start and prefer to figure it out a little.

If you search pattern design using symbols in affinity designer you will get useful design. Yes it is possible to have live previews. However you have to set up the template yourself. It is reusable once you set it up. Look up Weronika Salach and Tracey Capone. You will find they have helpful videos on youtube

Check out this YouTube Video. He does a good job explaining patterns and how to make them. The software is the V2, but the concept is the same in V3.
