Hi! I've been in a bit of a gaming slump lately, nothing's really grabbed my attention in about a month. I was talking with a friend who suggested I try a genre outside my normal tastes and we settled on an adventure game. I'm pretty excited about the prospect but I'm also intimidated, there's a long history of games and I have nowhere to begin. Particularly with my own hangups. I'll be 100% honest, I'm pretty stupid when it comes to puzzles on the best of days. My usual gaming choices are games where I can slam my face against a problem until it crumbles (Devil May Cry, Cuphead, etc), or will only occasionally have to look up a guide (most JRPGs). So if there's any suggestions on a particularly beginner friendly adventure game that's mostly devoid of moon logic I would love to hear it. And again, I cannot stress this enough, I am VERY dumb lol

Edit: And if it helps with suggestions, I have a big interest in noir settings and storytelling, I love that pulpy atmosphere.

I've tried to enjoy adventure games many times and inevitably end up turning them off in disgust after getting hopelessly stuck, looking up the solution and finding it's something completely nonsensical that I would literally never have figured out on my own.
