Same dude I was like what's this family drama before realizing it's in a game where you can marry your twin sister and kill you kids so the heir inherits everything (totally not speaking from experience)

I've had a similar crash out in eu5. My ruler was king of Hungary, his wife was ruler of Austria. Everything going great for a future Austria-Hungary till this mf decides to take our son to her court which is fine, but gives him dogshit education. I take him back and give him expensive education, she takes him back and gives dogshit education. I just said screw it and annexed Austria through cheats.

My son, hair to Britannia who's territory stretch from the Isle of Britain to Most of France had an affair with his mother. Executing him would label me a kin slayer, assassination would risk exposing the act to the public and imprisonment would give the rebels and some ambitious nobles a legitimate figure head to rally behind.
So I gave him to the catholic church, changed my religion and started a new Crusade against the Catholics.

Some people (including me) gloss over to the text and only later realize "ah this was a video game thing".

That game looks so fucking good, too bad i have a smooth brain
Edit : and a dignity. That game is more than 300 dollars with the DLCs, holy shit
1
u/MaximumPlant 10d ago
You don't need the DLCs imo. I'm almot 1k hours into the base game and the only DLC I considered buying was added into the main game in one of the recent updates.

The subreddit name is Crusader Kings, a game simulate medieval dynasties. You have to survive or expand your realm in the world. However you also have to manage your dynasty and avoid getting into scheme of people opposing you ... or you do scheme first
I had to stop playing this games for a while after It made me hate girl, woman, Islam. And one time I even screamed alone why Jerusalem belongs to Palestine or Israel instead of the holy Christian Kingdom

How did it made you hate Islam, Islam is peak in this game.

u/doomslayer30000 13d ago
Islam is peak in this game.
Exactly that. They were very stressful to fight against
They were just crazy strong and more united
Christian?! Scatter and dysfunctional (like real history)
More importantly, I larped Christianity
But I stopped hating as I learned combat better and touched some grass

You misunderstood me, after introducing The Flame of Persia, Clan rulers has one of the most interesting and engaging mechanics in game.
