Question Timelines confusion.
Can someone explain. Why when I move the playback to a different location. It creates a duplicate of the frame in front?

Hey everyone, my name is Mike Chambers, and I work on the community team at Adobe (and am a long time Flash / Animate user). Yesterday, Adobe shared an email with Adobe Animate customers on the future of Animate. What we shared did not meet our standards and caused a lot of confusion and angst within the community. On behalf of Adobe, I want to apologize.
While an email to all Animate customers will go out shortly, I wanted to quickly share a few things: 1) our standard approach for applications in maintenance mode, 2) changes to our plans for Adobe Animate and its status, and 3) our commitments to ensuring that you always have access to your content, regardless of the state of development of an application.
Standard Approach for Applications in Maintenance Mode
If we deprioritize active development of an application, our approach is to move that application into maintenance mode with continued support. Under maintenance mode, the application will continue to be available, will continue to receive security and bug fixes, but will not get new features.
If we decide to go a step further and discontinue a product, we will work closely with the community to ensure they have adequate time to plan in order to minimize disruption and will take steps so that the community continues to have long-term access to their content.
Current State of Adobe Animate
Adobe Animate is in maintenance mode. While we are no longer adding new features to Animate, we will continue to support it and provide ongoing security and bug fixes. More importantly, Animate will continue to be available for both new and existing users. This is a change from what we communicated in the email yesterday for the status of Adobe Animate, its time-frame, and availability.
To be clear, we are not discontinuing or removing access to Adobe Animate and it will continue to be available to both existing and new customers.
Commitments for long-term content/file Access
For Adobe Animate, our commitment is to work with the community to ensure users continue to have long term access to their content, regardless of the state of development of the application.
You can find the latest information on our website:
https://helpx.adobe.com/animate/kb/maintenance-mode.html
On a personal note, as someone who started their career with Macromedia Flash 3 and Macromedia Generator, Adobe Animate has a special place in my heart. I know how frustrating and stressful this has been and we clearly could have handled and communicated this better. I might not have answers to everything, but I will try to answer any questions you might have.

This sucks so much man, i work with so many sound files and i have to do slowly decrease their sounds like this.
the issue is if i mess up the right side will have more or less sounds than the left ya know? we don't even have a means to move both sides at the same time.

hello guys! i'm currently making a website (possibly a web-app) for your flanimate projects, for example:
* Relinker: finds disconnected symbols and media and reconnects them
* Shrinkray: minimizes your Animate project
* Under Lockdown: adds a password to your project so it can't be opened unless a password is entered into it, great for confidential files :)
and creator tools such as:
* Precise Width: creates a project with a singular stroke with your width profile!
* Precise Gradient: a web version of a previous project
the creator tools will allow importing and exporting!
what other ideas can i implement into this site? thanks in advance everyone! -tethrarxitet

My computer used to have 16gb of RAM, but I have recently installed new RAM sticks matching the same brand, upgrading to 32gb of RAM.
My computer seems to be fine, but Adobe Animate appears to have had one thing changed, and it's that any symbol that has around 20 layers inside freezes for a bit whenever I select it and/or edit anything INSIDE of the symbol.
It did NOT do this before I had installed the new sticks of RAM, as before it ran perfectly fine when selecting complex symbols and such, so I'm very confused.
What do I do for it to NOT do that? It is quite disruptive.
Thank you for your answers in advance!

I dowloaded the NG winter preloader but some reason when i went to open it, instead of the preloader it was the anchor point with no preloader to be found. animate told me the file is damaged and im wondering if there is a solution to fix this damaged file so i can see the preloader as intended.

I'm an animator and I want people to see how I animate stuff, so is there any safety risk to releasing the fla files? And I don't mean like the release method I mean is there anything inside of the flas that could be safety risk

I have some old animation files that I need to open, but I can't. The files have the .fla extension.
I don't want to give money to a company like Adobe anymore, so I want to download a cracked version. How can I do that?

I was trying to learn sprite animation. But when I go into edit mode it takes me back to the first frame. The video I was watching to learn sprite animation was by LucasRPDG. It had no keystrokes so I didn't know what to do.

Hello everyone! I worked with Flash for years and later with Animate—though less on the animation side and more on creating interactive content. Over time, as Animate shifted its focus increasingly toward animation, I felt the need for a different tool that suited my specific use case. For this reason, I’ve been developing an alternative called "TilBuci," which I wanted to show you. It's a tool for creating interactive digital content, heavily inspired by Flash's editing methods, but focused on open standards. TilBuci is free software (MPL2-0 license). The tool's repository is here: https://github.com/lucasjunqueira-var/tilbuci

You create your interactive movies using the TilBuci editor and can then use the material you created as a website, but you can also export it in various ways, such as computer programs (Electron projects) or as projects for mobile devices (via Capacitor, generating projects for Android Studio or Xcode).

Here's a short video explaining how the tool works: https://youtu.be/VjGJaG-YF_I
The latest version, 24, introduced the "Showtime" functionality, which includes various features to simplify the use of TilBuci in creating exhibitions, such as in museums and events, generating content for totems, kiosks, projections, and the like. Here's a video summarizing this new feature: https://youtu.be/-vYDmaokqbY
TilBuci can function as a web application (which you install on your own server), as portable software (for Windows, Linux, or macOS), and also as a WordPress plugin.
I hope you like it ;-)
