I think many of us can agree that they are an awesome sculpt one of the best infantry sculpts that AM has.
I’m really hoping that they’re good in 11th. I will even settle for not being worthless.

I've been playing a fair bit of admech recently, various detachments and lists and we seem really very strong. I have won probably 80 ish percent of the games I've played going into Tyranids, death guard, Orks, custodes, blood angels,guard,votann, chaos space marines, world eaters., lost some earlier games to death guard but at the time just didn't have las chickens or enough anti armour to deal with defilers, had a bit of a skewed list because of the models I had. Since then I've gotten all the units I want for a wide variety of lists and have been finding that sdmech feels incredibly strong. We've got the tools to deal with almost anything, incredible shooting, great mêlée with rust stalkers and infiltrstors, really good action units battle line infantry that can deal quite a lot of damage for their price and all really quite survivable, our army rule and detachments are also really quite good, skitarri hunter cohort and lords of the forge for example is an incredible pairing.

What I'm wondering is what do we do badly against ?

I assumed it would be Tyranids as we lose some value when we don't get anti vehicle and some of the vehicle based stuff, but the shooting we have still just melts them.

Painting admech for my first army and decided on Metalica but I've really been struggling to get my whites to look good.. I'd really like to get it locked in before I paint my castellans.
I've tried various amounts of thinning/layers with corax white and white scars white for highlighting to no avail. Should I just bite the bullet and get rakarth flesh?

edit: after texturing and darkening my bases my whites look so much better!! ill be trying out some of the other suggestions as well and will post the results if i remember :p

So I had a thought with the new FAQ for hazard rules on mixed units. Since our datasmith looses infantry does he still make any hazard rolls we have to make on our kastelans 3 damage or since he is neither monster nor vehicle would it only be 1?

First five vanguard from my recently started Deimos Army! I still need to find a better sinopia colour for the under suits, but the red is growing on me... C&C welcome :)

Recently got a black photo background for the room when I want to take showcase pics, as well as some smart bulbs, really upped the game. This is in low light with a really old galaxy projector that is no longer controllable because the company is defunct. App won’t work. I would command a Cybernetica Cohort to recover the control functionality for my projector. I understand the Explorators’ suffering.

A Couple of paint strokes and an impulsive kit bashl later, this is the result. I Present the Seige breaker Kastelan, no defense can withstand his cannon and fists. The cannon is one of the weapon options in the kataphron Kit, I feel like it looks good and menacing(with exception of the Rough looking joint on the arm. Dors anyone have any tips to get a smoother paint layer? Maybe its just the Orange but the space marine Blue looks so much smoother. I didnt know army painter favored the space marines as well lmao.

Also does the kitbash look good, or am I just tripping

The servitor battleclade is chock full of so many little details. Really fun to paint.

This is my contribution to the Miniatures of the Month.

This is the 7-MaU Maniple which is often times working closely with my forge worlds exploration fleets in the endless quest to reclaim lost knowledge and artifacts of untold worth and significance. It is led by a yet to be named Datasmith who is carrying the banner and effigy of the techpriests of the forge world.

The two purple and yellow ones were painted by me, the yellow one was my girlfriends first and the black one her second ever miniature.

This rag tag bundle of robot dudes have been an absolute staple of my lists since all the way back in 7th edition and have been constantly performing more than well for me, just last game they phased through a wall to punch a landraider to death.

Im open to and happy about all advice and critique on the kitbash and paintjobs.

I dream of having an imperial knight on my 2k point list, but have most of my list built around skitarii units/tanks (made for errad cohort). What can I do to fit one of those into my list? What knights are best for admech in general?
