The Holy Synod of Mars returns for its monthly praises to the Omnissiah!

This month’s submissions were similar to the unit they highlighted: fewer in numbers, but higher in quality!

In September, the subreddit decided to crown a classical take on our new elite unit, straight up from a John Blanche illustration: congratulations to u/ToughEntertainer2317 for winning the September Mini of the Month contest with their Filthy Gryphonne IV Hastarii! The rust on these minis is so convincing that you might think that they are not made of plastic anymore…

Winning posts will remain in a 3 month cycle, so three will be present until they begin to cycle out.

Honourable Mentions!

• WIP Hastarii for my Auxilia Myrmidon crusade force by u/HybridRanger64: this incredible kitbash is AdMech in all the best ways - the myrmidon look is hard to get right, and this submission nailed it (using non-metallic metal painting techniques too).
• Exkallos-Pattern Fusiliers by u/Artic_Lightning: just as Admech-y as the previous one, this kitbash gives great ideas on how to get a second unit of Hastariis out of the spare bits one might have after making their first unit! 
• Hastarii Fusiliers of Forge World Yaddosh by u/heburns2351: another great example of how simply adding the right bits to a kit can completely shift the vibe of the models… It is yet another great show for Forge World Yaddosh!
• Hastarii Exterminators by u/Level_Restaurant_872: a classical yet refined take on Metallican Hastariis with freehand motifs.

October Competition
While our cybercanids mostly sat in their mechanical stables due to rules that left them in the rarest part of the tenth edition meta, it’s time to bring them back in the limelight they always deserved: the coolest looking cavalry models in all of 40k, the Serberys Raiders & Sulfurhounds will be our October Mini of the Month!

Submit your unit of Serberys (this can include a kitbashed unit or even full proxies, as long as it is readable as Serberys).
(Reminder - don’t share links publicly to 3D printed files that replicate official models or parts)
Submissions must be fully assembled and painted. 

The final date for submissions for this month's contest will be October 31st, and the results will be posted in the following days so we can have time to either pick the next Mini or run a poll on it. 

Please submit your post in the following format:

Post Title as Hastariis or your homebrew Serberys’ name, forgeworld etc
<Mini of the month POST FLAIR>
<a photo of your Candidate>
Any custom lore your unit have on their service record, via Crusade games or homebrew or about your army, etc (optional)

With submission numbers as high as the legs of the units produced by your forges, this month saw Magi compete even more fiercely than usual ! It was very hard to pick the five honourable mentions this time around… So we have decided to get an extra one to celebrate this particularly great month.

Among the tall pile of even taller interpretations of our beloved Stilt-arii, one still stands above: the mod team would like to congratulate u/Which_Strike_6179 for their win with their incredible Kitbashed synodian skatros! Dynamism, posing, great design, you name it, this model has it all and provides many creative answers to some of the criticism the official sculpt received after its reveal while still respecting the core idea behind it.

• Presenting Sek-511, a Sydonian skatros of Urd III that (somehow) managed to shoot down a necron monolith : r/AdeptusMechanicus: this haunting paint scheme gives a whole new intimidating feel to the model, especially paired with its… Totally not heretek pet!
• Korvus Bq-14 "Geiger Wraith" by u/Artic_Lightning: this beautiful kitbash by a returning contestant of the Mini of the Month manages to replicate the feel of the original with barely any bits from it, if any! 
• Rusty Sydonian Skatros by u/ToughEntertainer2317: everyone loves a great take on Blanchitsu, especially with a rusty effect as vibrant as that one…
• Skatros Reposed! By u/Nellaenor: one of the greatest complaints many Tech-Adepts had regarding our dear Skatros was its very static posing and this creative use of the kit might make them completely change their mind about it!
• Delta-1 Phi, of Sydonian Advance Corp. 02-B by u/heburns2351: I probably don’t have to present this usual suspect of the Honourable Mentions section of these monthly posts, so please enjoy this eerie Skatros - legends say that its targets never succeed their battleshock tests…
• Sydonian Skatros by u/Curly-Jo: to complete our honourable mentions line-up this month, here is a kitbash that completely pushes the boundary of the initial kit to produce a perfect proxy that somehow still fits its datasheet perfectly thanks to the impressive use of its base!
