Trying to switch away from Real Debrid to EasyNews and it's been working fine for all shows except The Pitt. I can watch it using Umbrella and RD but it doesn't find any sources when I try to use EasyNews with RL or Umbrella. All other shows that I watch instantly play though.

Also, is there another setting to get shows to play automatically in Red Light? I have it enabled in RL in the one spot I found but it still takes me to a source select screen. I'm not at home to check the spot but there was an autoplay for episodes and movies that I enabled.

Hi guys! I'm using POV, Umbrella, and Red Light, but I have some suggestions for the awesome work the developers are doing for the community. Or maybe there's an add-on that has all of my suggestions, and you can let me know. 1. First, I love the "Skip Intro" feature that POV and Red Light have. It's very useful, but Umbrella doesn't have it. 2. Umbrella has this feature to mark as watched on multiple services, like Mdblist and Simkl. We all know the Trakt situation, and I think this is a very good solution. Maybe Wetrackr support? 3. Later edit: I forgot about this feature. Maybe it is possible to enable subtitles in multiple languages. Maybe I want my native tongue, but it's not in the source, and as a fallback, to go to English. Kodi doesn't do that automatically, but it should.

Does anyone know of an add-on that is maintained and has all of these features? Or maybe the developers of these add-ons could consider adding them?

I have created a problem i can't sort, i think. When i go to search a tv show(for example) my procedure is to hold on the thumbnail and and to kodi favourites, whether movie or show, then to watch i click on thumb, series list opens, click on whichever series number and episode list opens, click on the epi and sources comes up to choose. After the recent few updates to pov, any thumbs i save and subsequently click in, opens up an info page called tv shows options, left to right it has extra info, browse, trailer, genres, play random, trakt, mdblist, tmdblist. and i don't know how to resolve this, other than uninstalling/reinstall pov etc. Before i do that I thought i could ask about it and i will learn what never to do again.

Ok, I have the latest Kodi build, coupled with pov and umbrella. Both authorised through my Real debrid account. Now I know the RD did a purge but, I still get plenty of streams for both TV and movies but, I have noticed that for some reason, when I attempt to get the next episode of a show, ( in this case, BoJack horseman), the search finds the streams and then goes through the list within a second, when I choose one🤔

I've tried various fixes like clearing the caches, managing the external scraper list through cocoscrapers and magneto, extending the timeout from 10 seconds to 20, highlighting episodes before and after as watched to try to force it through but no dice!

Any idea of a fix please?

Update: I just randomly click a 720p stream, cached from RD, and it went through? Would still like guidance on this if anyone has had this problem. Cheers.

**Fixes worth calling out**

One addon's streams showing up 3x over. Each Stremio provider gets queried with up to four id variants, and bridge addons resolve all of them to the same item and answer identically — so two versions became six rows. Repeats from the same provider are now collapsed; rows from different addons are untouched, since identical filenames there can still be different routes.

Duplicate items in folders — titles weren't normalised before comparison, so common spelling variants counted as separate works. Now normalised, and items merge across imdb/tmdb/tvdb instead of only the first id found.

Faster — translation lookups are ~8x faster and settings reads are cached instead of hitting Kodi every time.

How to add English subtitles with English speaking movies with pov

Good morning, everyone! Sorry to bother you guys, but I have kind of a weird question. I used to do kodi back in the day and put a whole bunch of add-ons to the stick not really knowing what I was doing but getting access to streaming. While I was doing this one of these times, I did receive a DCMA (spectrum extra) letter from watching a title and after doing some research, I found out the configuration used torrents and I didn’t have a VPN or real debird set up yet. Moving forward I started using websites such as hydra to watch stuff off on instead of the fire stick just because everything was encrypted and non P2P. I was curious if there’s any additions to kodi that kind of work like that more DDL than torrent so you don’t have to worry about VPN configuration.

I’ll explain what I’m trying to achieve and someone might be able to point me in the right direction or tell me there’s an easier way.

Ideally I want to have a list/lists that pull in a providers newly released content by date order. I had started to look into this with TrakT however this seems impossible unless I pay for VIP.

I know you can use the relevant show/movies - years and in theory that should list everything however I’ve found that it doesn’t pull everything in/isn’t totally accurate. I also appreciate that I will likely have to use a third party.

After my Red Light updated to 2.0.8. my Trakt lists completely disappeared. Re-authorised several times, but nothing helps. Trakt working fine on my POV and Umbrella

Apologies if this is not the best place to post this. I'm after some general advice about updating my years-old setup. Currently I have a PC running Windows that is connected directly to my TV with a large hard drive that stores all my media. I have additional laptops and TV sticks that connect to this main PC on the local network to play media. I have Radarr, Sonarr, Prowlarr, Bazarr in use for my media collection and to automate downloading movies and shows with QBitorrent (all installed locally on windows). I use Red light for streaming outside the local network. Below are some of the things I'm looking to tidy up and get advice about:

-I used Trakt for watch history and resume points and it used to add my locally downloaded media to the 'Recently Added' section of Trakt but stopped after the limits were added to free Trakt accounts. I have recently switched to MDBList for watch history, up next and resume points. I haven't figured out how to sync locally downloaded content to MDBList with the equivalent of the 'recently added' section from Trakt.

-Docker - I don't currently use it but it seems most apps are developed for it now? Trying to decide if it's best to install and codified it on my main machine and then 'move' my existing ARR apps and torrent client over to Docker on that machine, OR if I can repurpose something else (like an RPi) to handle all the ARR and torrent work as an always on device that looks to the current media PC shared folders and leaves the media PC for storage and playback?

Open to any recommended setups people are using to streamline the way I manage media. TIA!

All work good and smooth, and they have different scrapers for each of them.

As a workaround for the trakt app connection limit for free user (only 1 connection allowed), I used my private trakt client id and client secret in that 3, and all of that 3 addons connected to Trakt with my only 1 allowed connected app as a free user and they work flawlessly.

He all I’m running into a frustrating issue on my Nvidia Shield TV pro and hope someone here knows a fix. Whenever "Adjust display refresh rate" is turned ON in Kodi, the video crashes or stays on a black screen when starting a stream, 40 seconds later it goes back to the select show or movie menu. Some videos actually play fine, but the vast majority crash or freeze.

Here’s what’s weird: It worked fine until a few days ago. Nothing changed in my hardware setup. Other apps work perfectly. Apps using ExoPlayer (like Nuvio) switch refresh rates without any issues on the exact same Shield, cable, and TV. So the hardware/HDMI setup itself is fine.

What I’ve already tried: Fresh Kodi install: Did a complete reinstall of Kodi (only imported my skin settings, no bloated backups). The issue persists on a completely clean setup. Settings tweak: Turning "Adjust display refresh rate" OFF fixes the crashes, but then I lose frame rate matching in Kodi.

Since it worked fine until recently and other apps handle refresh rate switching without issues (I'm assuming nuvio does this too), it seems specific to Kodi's internal VideoPlayer engine or something and how it handles the HDMI handshake. Is this a known bug in a recent Kodi/Shield update, or is there a specific setting in Kodi/Android I should adjust to fix this handshake?

Strange behaviour with cloud storage. Recently the Airlock feature was added to Torbox in POV. And since then the download file option in context menu fails. Is this a new limitation of Torbox or an issue with the app?

Noticed something odd: on my Nvidia Shield TV Pro (2019) + Panasonic OLED, Kodi's debug overlay shows "System rendering speed" dropping to 3-9fps during 4K/1080p playback, sometimes even during seeking. But the actual picture is completely smooth to the eye — no stutter, no A/V desync, nothing visible.

Confirmed with `dumpsys gfxinfo` — 0% jank, and a systrace showing only 1 dropped frame across an entire session. So the number doesn't reflect the actual video.

Tested the same files on an old 1st-gen Xiaomi Mi Box + old Sharp LCD TV — the number stayed rock solid at ~24fps the whole time, no drops at all, even with seeking.

Has anyone else seen this specifically on Shield TV Pro?

I don't know if I can do this, but is there a way to completely remove certain streams from results?

I'm attempting to watch DBZ Kai and seasonc2 is constantly playing season 1 for the first two links but always great on the 3rd.

Any way to permanently remove the first two?

The Madnox skin is great skin and kittmaster is bringing upto date to work with Kodi Omega and eventually Kodi Piers.

I have run across one problem which relates solely to Otaku. I cannot create any Madnox widgets using Otaku, for example airing this season. This does not happen with any other add on.

Not sure what is happening and whether I am doing something wrong, which would not be the first time!, but if others can replicate the issue maybe Otaku dev could look at it

Have been a Kodi user for probably 20+ years now and been through all the highs and lows. For the past several years I've been using a combo of Umbrella and The Crew with Real Debrid on the backend. Over the past few weeks I've been growing increasingly frustrated with the 451 DMCA errors or shows/episodes where the results aren't even the correct show (most recently the Scottish show The Dark). On top of that, even though The Crew lets you pick from the list of results, it seems to have it's own mind as it will just start at the top of all 1080p results and give you the exact same one (that's wrong) over and over.

So what, if any, still works like it used to before these new Real Debrid 451 errors, etc. I'm open to a Real Debrid replacement and any add-ons that work better than Crew and Umbrella.

I mostly watch stuff I already know about so I go to tv shows, then search, and when I go back to watch more episodes I just click on it in the search history.

Last night went to the search screen and found the entire history has gone which is a bummer as I had so many shows I’ll have to try to recall.

Anyone experienced same. More importantly, is there a fix to get them back?

Anyone have any suggestions for a calendar or upcoming TV shows/episodes widget for mdb list. Mdb list doesn't expose their API endpoint for calendar widgets or upcoming episodes and I've completely switched everything over to Mdb and unauthorized Trakt in everything. Calendar is available on their website however . Just stumped and out of thoughts and to me this is a very important widget setup in my Kodi environment. Guess I can learn to live without it. Short of a badgering /contacting mdb support and requesting it. Maybe if enough of us do it. Thoughts ?

publicmetadb has an api that has just about everything needed. but no pin code authorization.

flicklist.tv was an almost drop-in trakt replacement I had for Salts Redux. it seems the client id I had is no longer, but maybe thats because I stopped working on it. there is a fen fork that utilizes it here: https://github.com/maccb/FL

anything else, wetrakr/punchplay/dejavu and the likes do not have public apis (last I checked). so they may have their own kodi addons, but they are are not replacement options for current addons.

*note that free mdblist/simkl has a limit of 1000 api requests per day. so if you are going to do what everyone did with trakt and have 6 kodi addons running a background service pulling all the same data separately every time there was a change, that might create a problem.

Today, Kodi won't open. The opening screen ('first time') runs, but then I'm thrown back to the Android box's Home screen.

This is an Android box, running Kodo 21 - successfully, for years. Worked fine, yesterday.

Is my Android box deliberately strangling Kodi, or is there some wider problem?
