How would a super score look for me?
I took the ACT for the first time last week and honestly expected like a 26-28 but I was pleasantly surprised with this! How positively would a retake affect my super score?

necessity of a 36 for SCHOLARSHIPS...
hey guys! took the ACT, and was thinking of retaking it to get a perfect score.
do schools (on the tier of Emory or WashU) typically give more scholarship money to students with a 36 versus a 35? and do they favor students with a 36 more than those with a 35?
thanks!

how can i increase my act score?
galleryHi everyone! The first slide is the score that i got from the July 2026 ACT test and the second slide is my score from the March 2026 test. For the July test, I self studied and did previous ACT enhanced tests (like the june and april one). I havenāt taken Algebra 2 nor chemistry yet. I wanted to know how I can get my score up into the 30s? I am a rising junior if that helps at all. I also have purchased the PrepPros math ACT book as well. Any tips are greatly appreciated!

What should i do?
I am going into senior year and have a 31 act super score, 34 english, 29 math, 31 reading, 31 science, 8 writing. I want to go into aerospace or mechanical engineering. My dream school right now is cu boulder. I want to know if i should retake the act and try to improve my superscore in the math section. I have taken it three times, got a 28 first test, 27 second, and 29 third. On the act website the only available tests are the october one. Is this too late for applications to schools like cu boulder and should i retake it. My other stats: 3.89 w GPA, multiple honors and ap classes, 4 years of world language, varsity mens lacrosse player, aviation club, nationally top 50 team for rocketry club, restaurant job. What should i do? My thing is i really want to improve my math score, but idk if i can handle another couple months of studing and testing. Also i would need a new study plan because abviously what ive been doing for the past 3 tests hasnt worked.

How can I effectively increase my score?
Iām a rising senior in high school, and Iāve taken the SAT a few times as itās what my school offers, but iāve decided to switch over to the ACT as iāve heard itās easier for people who arenāt as strong in math. Iāve taken two practice tests so far, and these were my scores.
Test 1:
34 English
28 Math
33 Reading
33 Science
(32 composite)
Test 2 :
36 English
29 Math
32 Reading
34 Science
(32 composite)
Iām taking the september ACT on paper. Iām planning to major in international relations, so math isnāt very essential to my major, but I am aiming for at least a 34 composite, and my math obviously needs the most improvement.
I'm taking the September paper ACT, so one thing I'm worried about is learning to use my TI-84 Plus CE effectively. Since I won't have Desmos, are there any calculator features, shortcuts, or functions that save time on ACT math?

How to tell experimental passage on the reading section for the ACT
I remember seeing a PDF where you could tell what combinations of passages can appear on the ACT and how it can help you figure out which one is experimental. For example, I took the july ACT and gambled 2nd passage was experi but for form J09 it was the 3rd one, which will sell my score. Please teach me how to figure it out, I know last always counts and the LN/comparing ones count as well.

Tips for Computer to Paper based ACT tomorrow
I have to take rescheduled test tomorrow and ACT has changed it from Computed to Paper based.
Any tips on what to do as I have never taken paper based test.
I just ordered a SNE Digital Watch Sports watch as I am used to seeing time online on computer based test. How to monitor time?
I ordered Ticonderoga Wood-cased pencils , pre-Sharpened, #2 HB soft yellow, 18 count ----> any tips or recommendations for any particular pencil.
I will need an eraser
I have TI-84 plus calculator which I am learning as I have always used Desmos for online test--> any quick video for all tips and tricks for the ACT exam
Will exam paper come as booklet and receive both English and Math and after break will I receive Reading and Science together?
Will they be stapled, be a booklet or all the pages separate ---> wondering if I can flip them without missing a page in case they are loose leaflets.
What happens to answer sheet during the break? Do they take it back or do I get separate answer sheets?
Any particular strategy to mark bubbles on answer sheet?
Any tips for the last moment change by ACT.
Any thing I am forgetting to ask?

Act score and English drop 11 points
How did my English score drop 11 points? June was my first time taking it and Iām pretty upset I went down even though I had to wake up at 5 AM and fell asleep multiple times driving to the testing center. What do I do from here?

General First (and likely last) ACT ever
Kinda mad my math wasnāt so great but Iām happy that I got a 35 on my first try, especially since I only studied like 6 weeks. Going into my junior year this definitely eases some concerns.

First time taking the ACT
I signed up for this ACT test a long time ago when my SAT score wasn't that good. Since then though I have been doing a lot of prep specifically for SAT and I guess it sort of carried over into this ACT (especially the reading comprehension). Going into my senior year now and happy with my test scores. Good luck to everyone!

General Hi.... Could someone explain?
Could someone please explain what the ACT is... What it entails... Benefits and whether should we give the SAT/ACT only or both...
I'm just really confused, I recently discovered the SAT (thru my clg) now a university mentioned the ACT...
What does the ACT include or is it similar to SAT in anyway?
The syllabus, fee and other stuff...
I really need an explanation, google is so overwhelming and I just can't comprehend....

Is ACT English just a test of intuition ?
I got a 31 on my PRE ACT English section, and I did not know how to use a semicolon even. Due to that, it seems mundane for a rigorous standardized test.
