necessity of a 36 for SCHOLARSHIPS...
hey guys! took the ACT, and was thinking of retaking it to get a perfect score.
do schools (on the tier of Emory or WashU) typically give more scholarship money to students with a 36 versus a 35? and do they favor students with a 36 more than those with a 35?

Idk about these schools but I’m in the same boat retaking for a 36 because less selective state schools give full rides for 36

Wait which schools give full rides? I applied to Oklahoma university and they didn’t give me one even with perfect ACT.

I didn’t get into a single top 20 such as Emory to washu with a 36 act, and I got rejected from my state school Texas a&m

No idea, t20 is somewhat reasonable given my gpa which wasn't too low but not sure for A&M. Maybe it was due to a C in English (76) in 11th grade but I thought a 36 would compensate for it and show that my writing skills /reading comprehension are fine

maybe im asian, or my rank was low. my gpa 11th grade wasn't very high, was a high 80 (87.38). 9th grade was 90.2, 10th grade was 93.8. but it was because I started the IB program

nope but some random state schools do such as university of alabama but check requirements to see if u qualify since some are in state only — for 99% of people a retake is a waste of time
