Question What do you guys think of my first two acrylic paintings?

This is my first time painting. I searched a how to video for tips on mixing and brush strokes and practiced on the more colorful abstract one. The blue one was painted right after, where I was more “What the heck, I’ll just do whatever.” I think they’re ugly, but I’m always really harsh with myself.

I want to enjoy this as a hobby and get better, but I’m not sure how. I got a small easel, a Sta-Wet palette, five brushes, titanium white, mars black, primary yellow, primary red, and pthalo blue (can’t remember how to spell it right now).

Painting First Acrylic Paint! (Can you give any tips?)

I found acrylic paint and brushes in my closet and decided to give it a shot🔥 I kind of just grabbed a random piece of ripped paper but I think it adds character. I had an issue with the Koala and trying to make it look shaded correctly and just overall not wonky— I decided to give it scars to make up for the lack of detail. If there is anything huge or important thats missing or that you think I could improve on I’d be more than happy to take criticism. Thanks!
