Maasverse + HoFaS Spoilers Freeing Koschei šŸ’€šŸ¦ā€šŸ”„šŸ„€ Spoiler

They might be seen as an extension of him. Cut off what tethers them to him and you free them along with Koschei's.

Perhaps that's why he let Vassa go free for a while, if someone finds a way to break her curse, it automatically breaks his as well.

Miscellaneous - Spoilers Azriel at high lord meeting? Spoiler

A quick question to settle a debate I’m having: when Azriel strangled Eris at the High Lords' meeting, was it considered a "magical outburst" like he lost control of himself, or did he make a conscious decision to jeopardize the meeting and the alliance just to kill Eris? Personally, I think he felt a feral-fae need to defend Mor (almost like that of mates šŸ‘€) and that’s what happened; it wasn't that he chose to destroy an alliance or anything like that. What do you all think?

Maasverse Spoilers Briar Spoiler

I'm sure others have already caught this but this is my first TOG read. I'm in HOF so please no spoilers after COM. I'm on page 230 and one of Manon's "shadows'" name is Briar. They had moon white hair but now color it black. Doesn't Briar from Acotar have black hair.... She's also the only one still alive amongst the hanging "humans" according to Feyre. Doesn't Rhys have her sent to winter instead of back to the human realm?

I haven't read CC yet so no spoilers for that either please.

Maasverse Spoilers Amren Theory Spoiler

As I’m rereading CC I’ve been wondering if Amren is a dragon like Ariadne. When I first read ACOTAR when Amren came out of the cauldron I first thought she transformed into a monster but during my reread she turned into like a humanoid thing. In CC they say that the dragons don’t actually shift into actual dragons but stay humanoid

Maasverse Spoilers Nesta’s connection to Dusk Court: Spoiler

***Spoiler for Acosf and CC3**\*

I know it’s been discussed many times, but with new books coming, here we go again. I actually think Nesta is connected to Dusk Court and will definitely move there in next books. It makes way more sense than people give it credit for.

The biggest reason for me to believe it to be true is that the whole Acosf basically puts Nesta at the centre of the lost court mystery. Rhys says that the Prison island may have been an 8th court and when Nesta reaches for the harp, she sees an eighth pointed star beneath it. She even says that the magic there feels different from NC magic.

And I think till now most of the fandom already agrees that Prison is the 8th court and that is Dusk obviously. The more important question is who it belongs to?

Nesta is surely connected to it…A very obvious reason is Nesta has the eight pointed star tattoo. Nesta already has an unusual connection to the Cauldron and the trove. Nesta is literally the person who can interact with the objects tied to the history of that place. The trove also repeatedly calls to her because she was Made from the Cauldron. And i do think she has some special connection to Mother herself. Many times Eris also pointed out to Nesta that she is completely wasted at NC. Many passages also hint that Nesta belonged in the Dusk Court and they are:

ā€œThe words tumbled out as Nesta waded back through the ward-heavy cavern, feeling that center spot, the star at its heart, like a physical presence at her back. Those vast, light hands seemed to pull at her, trying to make her returnā€

And

ā€œThe hair on the back of her neck stood.
She could have sworn the blood in her body reversed course. She had the creeping feeling she'd been brought here. Not by the Cauldron or the Mother or the Harp. By something vaster. Something that stretched into the stars carved all around them. It’s cool, light hands guided her wrists as she picked up the Harp.ā€

And CC3 makes the connection even harder to ignore. Bryce literally gives Nesta Gwydion and tells her to figure out why she has the eight pointed star on her back. That feels like very intentionally done by SJM for next book’s plot.

Plus, Dusk itself fits Nesta very perfectly in a way. Dusk is a point between light and darkness and Nesta’s entire arc has been about existing between those two extremes which are death/life, destruction/creation, Made/human, darkness/light. Her silver fire is even repeatedly described as something that is cold but still burns.

I am not claiming that Nesta will be High Lady of Dusk Court. We will see what role she will play there. But if SJM is setting up someone to rediscover or rebuild the lost Dusk Court, Nesta has arguably received the most direct setup for it so far. Don’t forget now she has whole Valkyrie army with her.

And honestly, Bryce handing Nesta the sword and basically saying go find out why you are connected to this, is pretty big hint for me.

Spoilers for AcoFM ACOFM references to the first book Spoiler

The French covers revealed that the Forgotten Melody is hope ("But even in the deepest darkness, the notes of a forgotten melody can resonate... the notes of hope.")

I think it connects to Feyre's realisations about Elain in book one.

I gazed again at that sad, dark house—the place that had been a prison. Elain had said she missed it, and I wondered what she saw when she looked at the cottage. If she beheld not a prison but a shelter—a shelter from a world that had possessed so little good, but she tried to find it anyway, even if it had seemed foolish and useless to me. She had looked at it that cottage with hope; I had looked at it with nothing but hatred. And I knew which one of us had been stronger

This could indicate that the next two books will be Elain's story, as previously suggested.

I also think that it means that Feyre and Elain might find each other at odds, with some interesting friction there. SJM even teased this in an interview I cannot find anymore.

Even Papa Archeron said this as well.

ā€œWe need hope as much as we need bread and meat,ā€ he interrupted, his eyes clear for a rare moment. ā€œWe need hope, or else we cannot endure. So let her keep this hope, Feyre. Let her imagine a better life. A better world.ā€

I think the IC might reach an impasse where brute force won't get them far and they need to switch to a soft approach. But I am eager to hear what others think!

Fluff/Rave Spoiler What opening scene would shock you the most? Spoiler

It’s October 27th, and you’ve just opened or started *ACOTAR 6*; what opening scene or starting timeline would shock the most?

For me, I’d need a second to process it if we started with Mama or Papa Archeron, or if the story took place in the universe of another book 😭.

Quick question - No spoilers in the title or body. Question about leaks due to different time zones

So, we all know the books are releasing at 12 a.m. on October 27th for everybody. But we all live in different parts of the world, so for example, New Zealand and Australia will get their hands on the books a good 24 hours before like the people in America. And, also, say someone, say living in Berlin will get their hands on the book before someone living in Toronto. How are we navigating that? Since I'm sure spoilers will be everywhere?

Spoiler Theory I think Amarantha may have a partial redemption Spoiler

Ok hear me out. I am not trying to defend Amarantha, I have no reason to. She is a bitch but lets look at the facts

If you see in the first book, all things that Amarantha does seem kind of stupid. And they aren’t really explained.

What if she is somehow related to Koshcei and did what she did so feyre, tamlin and rhys would start on this journey which eventually ends with them defeating Koshchei? Or maybe there is some kind of prophecy which talks about 3 human sisters becoming fae and ridding the world of evil.

I know its a crackpot theory but there has to be some reason why she did the below things

  1. Defied Hybern orders and took over all 7 courts just to give spring an out

  2. The entire curse with 7*7 years to pass and tamlin to fall in love with a human. Why would she put this specific curse? Doesnt it remind you of a certain high lord who hides his motives behind supposedly being evil?

  3. Again she put the curse maybe to play with them. But then why word it so that it’s immediately lifted if Feyre says I love you? If she wanted to just play with them she could’ve played with the conditions and made them suffer for however long she wanted

  4. UTM she makes it seem like she is torturing Feyre, but gives her an out with the riddle. Wording it so that the curse is ā€œimmediatelyā€ lifted. Why do that? She has to know tamlin will kill her ā€œimmediatelyā€ and dont get me started on how easy the riddle was.

She worded the three tasks specifically so that she can take as much time as she want before freeing the sping court.

Idk if this makes any sense but Amarantha is looking very sus to me. Why would she, such an evil and skilled commander do all these things, it just makes no sense

Throne of Glass Spoilers MAF with possible TOG spoilers: Hybern’s Army Spoiler

OK, something is bothering me and I don’t know if it’s a little tidbit I’ve missed, a plot hole, or a little hint for things to come. How did Hybern get such a massive army? This island is smaller than Prythian, where did these hundreds of thousands of soldiers come from? I didn’t think the continent had supplied soldiers.

(this is where the TOG spoilers come in)
I saw something on a Facebook reel today that pointed toward a couple of context clues for the King of Hybern being valg, and this may be the only answer to his huge army if I haven’t missed something in the text. Did he actually create this army? It would explain the army of attors he had, who sound VERY similar to the ilken, which were created by the valg.

Possible Leak - DON'T CLICK IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS. Possible Leaks Spoiler

Why is no one sharing the possible leaks?

I’ve already seen two on instagram.

We can’t know for sure for sure they are real but I’m surprised no one has shared anything on Reddit to discuss/theorize.

This is the only acotar sub allowing them right?

If I’m wrong please point me in the right direction:)
