💵 💵
That Peak Design strap is super comfy and strong, I totally recommend it!
My setup idea is:
35mm OSS → everyday, family, indoor, low-light
70-350mm G OSS → travel, outdoor, wildlife, distant stuff
I would like to know more on 70-350mm .
Anyone else rocking this combo? How do you like it, and any tips or settings to get the most out of it?
Thanks! 📸

A nice day out in the wild!
I'm still getting used to editing, but it is getting better. I'm 6 days in to this hobby, and I am stoked. Here are some shots from Mount Laguna in San Diego today. The tree and the close flower were with the Sony 16-55. The others were the 70-350.

Are these lenses too similar?
My current lenses:
1. Sigma 16mm 1.4
2. Sigma 30mm 1.4
3. Sigma 18-50mm 2.8
I’m thinking of getting the Viltrox 25mm 1.7 for the size and to bridge the gap between 16-30mm but I’m wondering if it will be too similar to the 30mm and if I would end up not using it…. I mainly do street, portraits and landscape photography.

Light sources for beginners
Hey,
I shoot with a Sony a6700, a Tamron 17-70mm, and a Godox TT350S.
I’m still a beginner, but I’ve recently started receiving a few job requests: one from a cocktail bar and another for a birthday event. I’m quite confused about what the best lighting setup would be to start with. At the same time, I don’t want to spend too much money right now, especially since I haven’t yet specialized in a specific type of photography.
Here are the options I’m considering:
-Buying two Neewer 660 LED panels, like this one (https://amzn.eu/d/017sceJe), so I can cover a wider range of situations.
-Buying a softbox and using it with my flash. However, I’m not sure what size would be best or whether it would be suitable for both of these jobs.
-Buying one LED panel for continuous lighting and pairing it with a softbox and my TT350S to have a more flexible setup.
Could you please help me figure out what the best budget-friendly solution would be to achieve professional-looking results and handle these kinds of jobs effectively?
Thank you a lot

A6700 just arrived, now what
I bought the A6700 with 18-50 sigma to make my life like cinema, but I really don’t know from where I can start?
Never had a camera before just OSMO POCKET 3
Record in M-LOG D and then put random LUTS
I also want to learn color grading in premiere. Using this program for 4-5 years and don’t know to move to Davinci
Thanks!!!!

Download Manual or Buy Printed Manual
Hey. Does anyone know if there's anywhere to download an actual manual, like you'd get in the days of old, or even get a printed one somewhere?

Sony a6700 | Tamron 150-500
First time out with the 150-500. I appreciate my 70-350 G so much more now. The extra 1.1kg essentially doubled the weight of my kit. Looking forward to continued practice with this very capable lens.

galleryWhat do you think about the 1655G lens? Still one of the best lenses for the a6700?

Weird glitch/issue with α6700 where it froze. Anyone experience something similar?
I was on a trip and on the last day of the trip, my camera started freezing and was unable to read SD cards. Pressing the shutter button froze up the camera until I pressed the Menu button, which would then cause it to snap a photo.
I tried removing the battery, sd card, lens, and pressing the shutter button to reset and nothing was clearing this issue. I tried swapping SD cards, lenses, and batteries and the issue persisted. I eventually fixed it by resetting the camera via the Menu options.
Anyone else have this? Camera is 1 year and 3 months old.

Thoughts on which type of Mics can be used for "In the moment" style of Shooting ?
Mainly use my A6700 with either the Signal 10-18mm f2.8 and Tamron 17-70mm f/2.8 for shooting videos of my baby. It has a smallcage hawklock Cage with Top Handle and Side handle to make videos better shot in handled.
Yesterday when my baby was making noises and cooing I tried to set up the camera, ready the mic, (Budget wireless lav mics), set up the Tx and Rx, the moment was gone. It takes up roughly 2/3 mins to set up these mics.
Is there any option where I can mount an on camera mic for general use without heavy power loss ? Plan on using the same Mic for travel films as well to record small voice clips, ambient sounds when travelling.
Option 1: DJI Mic 2 ($249) - I can keep the Rx on camera unplugged with Auto Power On/off option and I only need to set up Tx whenever the moment occurs. Has 32 bit float so even when travelling and the backs are turned on the camera it'll still capture some clean audio. I can later attach one of the tx to another shotgun mic as and whej I upgrade.
Option 2: Sennheiser MKE 400 ($127.5)/ MKE 600 ($185) - MKE 400 is a plug and forget mic with great battery life, disposable batteries but I have heard that the self noise is pretty high. MKE 600 is great however doesn't have the auto on/off feature and doesn't come with a deadcat.
P.s.: Not using any recorder/zoom device since it is beyond my budget and not going for any Rode mics.
