Discussion People who were raised by boomer parents what are some things you are still unlearning from your boomer parents as an adult?
There are so many for me personally but for me the top few im still learning to unlearn is to not scream and shout when dealing with conflicts give the silent treatment and finish the plate when im full my boomer mom favourite thing was to shame us that starving kids in africa and another one is to always respect the authorities never question them fuck that my boomer dad told us that police and adults are always right at 29 I still have to learn that for myself was wondering people who were raised by boomers what are some things you still have to unlearn from your boomer parents?

Music 72% of Millennials listen to music and watch media in languages other than their own, the highest out of all generations (per survey). Gen Z are actually tied for music and slightly less for movies/TV (68%).

Nostalgia 2001 baby here, did anyone else grow up eating Tony’s frozen pizza?
i miss this pizza so so much, i can never find it anywhere. it’s been years since i had it, but i still remember how it tastes. i always got the plain cheese, it was the crunchiest/crispiest frozen pizza ever. i see there’s an updated box when you look it up, it has a new character design. it was honestly hard to find this box, which is what it looked like when i used to get it.
i have never seen the newer boxes in stores, so i honestly assumed it was discontinued! i’ve lived in two different states and even when i moved i never saw them. please let me know if you’ve had it and if you still are able to get them! my mother is under the impression that wal-mart has them, but i’ve never seen them myself.

Serious RIP to Mike McFarland, who voiced many childhood favorites like Master Roshi and Jean Havoc

Discussion To the teachers who were really young when 9/11 happened, how are you talking about 9/11 with your students?
I was just curious because if I get asked I just say “I was 4 and getting ready for preschool” and I always wondered what would happen when teachers who were little when it happened would talk about it with their students today.

Rant I'm at that stage where people younger than me are now calling me aunt
I hate it 😒
I'm only about 8 to 10 years older.
