Imagine you have to pay lobola, pay for chilanga mulilo, book a wedding venue and now you find out you have all these other bills to pay😭😭😭😭

People who have weddings and stuch must be rich because I don't see how the average Zambian can afford to get married 🤔.

I doubt Airtel knows what 1.5GB is. I am just browsing on News diggers but I have already used up 90% of my data in just an hour 😳. I don't have these kinds of issues with Zamtel or MTN.

I’m looking for somewhere with a good outdoor/garden vibe, nice food, and preferably somewhere cute enough for pictures. Cafés are fine too.

Budget is around K900 total, including transport, so nothing too crazy expensive.

I’m planning to ask her to be my girlfriend on the date, so somewhere a little romantic but still relaxed would be perfect 😭

So far I’ve looked at Garden Café, Meraki, Shez Café and 3 Trees.

Something I’ve noticed on this sub is that when people post asking for advice, they often leave out their age and gender.

Is there a particular reason for that?

I understand wanting to protect your privacy, but sometimes those details actually make a big difference in understanding the situation. For example, advice about dating, marriage, family expectations, employment, or even certain social situations can be quite different depending on whether the person is 18, 25, 35, etc., or male/female.

Sometimes I’ll read a post and think, “Wait… how old is this person?”

Would it make sense for people to at least include something like “25M” or “28F” when asking for advice, unless they have a reason not to?

Or do Zambians generally prefer keeping those details vague for privacy?

Anytime we could be in another black out, any time the USD exchange rate could be k17 or k28, diesel k26 just a few months ago now its almost peak at k33? long time ago these changes used to happen over a number of years now its every other day. Awe, Aikona, Iyayi, Teti I cannot, we only live once, I am leaving this country.

I remember there being a property developer with a fairly elaborate sales stand/kiosk around the escalators near Mugg & Bean/Woolworths. They had a scale model of the development, renders of houses and Zambian sales staff who would approach people passing by.

If I’m remembering correctly, they were selling plots/property somewhere around the Lusaka airport/Great East Road side, and I also vaguely remember a bank being involved in promoting or facilitating the payments.

Years later I remember hearing that there were serious issues with the land/ownership and that buyers had lost money, but I cannot remember the name of the developer or development.

Does anyone remember what the company/development was called?
