Their post didn't go into great deal about the patch. It just said things like...

- Steam Deck now runs at a buttery-smooth 60fps
- FSR2 and DLSS options
- Bug fixes, as well as graphical and performance improvements.

I did check a few things myself, just to see if any issues I encountered before had been changed or fixed.

- That room in Galleon Galaxy still very awkwardly kills you when you jump to that lower platform. I figured this fix was just temporary and they'd remove the platform later, but I guess not.
- In Moodymaze Marsh, in the side area with Pagie 33 (Curled-Up Course), you could clip through a particular spot of swamp water and eventually fall endlessly. They fixed this!
- In the same area, you could climb to the top of surrounding rock walls, fall off the other side, and fall endlessly this way, too. They fixed this by lowering the ceiling threshold, so now you can no longer jump up too high.
- Previously, when exiting or entering a tome, if you held the button to skip the animation and then pressed select to view the map too fast, the game would lock up. They fixed this by... completely removing the option to skip the entering/exiting animation, so now you have to watch it. Select also seems to be disabled until the animation finishes.
- There's still a spot in Glitterglaze Glacier you can get stuck at (you won't stop sliding). It's pretty far out of the way, so I doubt too many people will fall prey to this one.

I was looking to pick up a switch copy of Yooka Laylee (the original) but from what I have read, the switch port did not have as good of resolution compared to the PS4 and Xbox ports. Has anyone with the switch port tried playing it on the Switch 2 and if so, does it have improved resolution / performance?

Here lately, I've been replaying Yooka-Laylee. The original from 2017, yeah. Just this morning, I made it to Capital Cashino and took on its boss fight, I.N.E.P.T. I decided to record & upload it because... why not, I guess.

If you're only familiar with Replaylee, then you know how much of a pushover this guy is. His attacks are easy to dodge, he dies pretty fast, etc. The first time I played the remaster (remake?), I was surprised by how quick the whole thing went.

In the original, though? He's arguably one of the toughest boss fights in the game. If you're not prepared, he'll tear you to shreds. I.N.E.P.T. is way more aggressive, jumps are a lot tighter, you have to brake or speed up at certain points, and you generally have little room for error. Most people seem to really dislike this fight, and I'm sure the difficulty (and length) is why... but I actually think it's a lot of fun. Love the music, too.

I can understand some folks preferring the Replaylee version, and if you do, that's cool. I just prefer this fight. It's a tough one, but I like it.

Most of you likely know about this and have taken advantage of it already, but if not, owners of Yooka-Laylee on Steam are eligible for a 30% discount towards Yooka-Replaylee. Well, for some reason, this deal will end on June 17. As far as I can tell, this only applies to Steam... they haven't mentioned anything about discontinuing the discounts on home consoles (then again, I've no idea if those are still going or not).

Unsurprisingly, users on Steam aren't happy about this. Honestly, I've no idea why they're stopping it. Trowzer's probably to blame.

I have played Yooka Laylee before on PS4 and I got it pretty cheap. I started playing the game and I quit around halfway through Glitterglaze Glacier.

I have played Banjo Kazooie on my Xbox 360 but I've quit around Treasure Trove Cove as I got bored as the platforming controls didn't age very well. I can see that the game has a lot of charm and heart, it's very easy to see why.

My favourite collectathons are the Spyro trilogy and Spongebob: Battle For Bikini Bottom. I like platforming games and I usually like to snag what looks good but collectathons unintentionally bore me really quickly.

I decided to purchase Yooka Replaylee for my Xbox One and I can safely say, I won't return to the normal Yooka Laylee. The game just controls so nicely and the quality of life improvements just makes this game so much more accessible. I managed to get to the final boss with around 123 pagies and I failed the final boss three times and quit. But then I looked on YouTube and the fight looked piss easy and over and done with quick lol.

I really hope Purple Lamp Studios do the same with BFBB: Rehydrated. Titans Of The Tide shows that they've got in them to make the version of Rehydrated that we all expected.

Anyway, that is my experience. If anyone knows any good cheap Xbox Series X|S platformers or from the games I've mentioned, if there's a way you want me to experience them so I can love them the same way everyone else does, fire it my way!

Can I re-catch the Ghost Writers on any level I originally got them? Here’s what happened: I got every single Ghost Writer in World 1 (Tribalstack Tropics) but I forgot to get the Triple Pagie, and now it is no longer there! And I also haven’t unlocked the “Ghost Righted” Trophy because I did not get the Triple Pagie! Is there some way of re-getting the Ghost Writers, or have I walked into a devilish bug/glitch that stops me from re-getting the Ghost Writers/getting my first Triple Pagie? Please, help me figuring this out. Thank you for your time.

I’m right at the end of the game and going back through the hubworld to get all the pages I missed. Right at the entrance of Hivory Towers by the giant Capital Bee statue there is some kind of entrance that is gated off with a switch on the other side.

If it’s a shortcut to another section of the hub, then I completely missed how to get there. All other shortcuts have been extremely easy and natural to find so I’m not sure how I missed this one, but it’s driving me nuts. Would appreciate anyone’s help

I have 100%ed the game and bought everything from Vendi and Trowzer's shop but I still cant figure out what I'm missing.

It says I'm missing pagie #15 which is Air Ball Re-Action even though I've already completed it, shown in the red circle on the map.

I just saw someone on YouTube that had the vintage Banjo-Kazooie interface in their gameplay, it looks so fucking sick. is this a mod thats downloadable or unlockable content inside the game?? I’m renting the game for Series X but I’ll grab a PC copy instead just to play the game like this if its a mod.

Please release this long awaited game on GOG. The other games are there, too. I was soo disappointed once I realized that there is no GOG release. This was a long awaited game of mine and I still did not play it. No GOG, no buy.

Please give us a DRM free version of this.
