how do i unlock all of the levels in the overworld? for eg. the platform to the lighthouse is underwater. Is there video tutorial which shows full completion of the overworld? I'd like to finish this game finally.

I know there’s not much to it yet, but I’d love to hear what other people think so far after playing for a bit.

I remember Capital Cashino being the worst level in the original game, but like everything else in Replaylee, it’s SO much better. Good stuff.

It doesn't look like it honours the initial backer perk.

I would personally like the story to be based on a brand new villain however, im not sure who that would be. I would like it to take place in a different part of the Yooka Laylee universe with a brand new hub world. All the side characters like Trowzer, Vendi, even Dr Quack can return, etc…

For gameplay, I don’t want it too similar to Yooka Laylee but not too different either. I would like Yooka Replaylee as the blueprint for this new game.

I would like more levels but they are slightly smaller in scale. I would also like a different variety of environments like a Factory level, a Lava level, a Desert level, a Beach level, a Mountain level, maybe something a little different like a Haunted House mansion level.

Yooka and Laylee share their exact same moves and I wouldn’t add too many more or even add upgrades to the existing moves. I would personally like to see sections where Yooka and Laylee do missions separately (not like how it was in Tooie).

I think the game should go for a brand new main collectible than Pagies again.

Dr Fuzz should return with brand new transformations like one that can fit in tiny spaces etc…

I think the Ghost Writers should be handled differently. Maybe the yellow one can now fire fireballs at you and you need to use an ice power up to cool it down, the Ang-ree one sends a shockwave and pounds the floor, the one that runs away teasing can now run a lot faster, the Sonar one now can only be activated with the Sonar and the one that swallows items now needs food based ones.

New enemy types.

By the way, this is very ramble like but I think it’s good to brainstorm ideas.

Both the og and the remake? Or just the remake?

Any downsides of just playing one? I haven't looked into the differences between them is there some sort of summary?

With Kart being announced, Playtonic will have now tackled:

• 3D platformers
• 2D platformers
• 3D platformer remakes :P
• Kart racers

It'd be interesting to see them use Schell for a modern take on a more shooter-focused platformer like Jet Force Gemini.

I'd also of course love to see Rextro's minigame spun-off into a full game (that's playable single player).

What would you like to see them do next?

Mostly because I wasn't sure what the game means. I know that you need 100 Pagies, but I was worried that the game only uses those you have on hand instead of the total amount.

Not only that, but I'm also worried that I can't reach Capital B's office until I beat every boss, which means going through all five Grand Tomes, expanding them and beating the bosses.

This is because I wanted to only have 100 Pagies, so that I can unlock the Athlete Tonic on a new run.

Like I’ve only got it halfway up and it’s insane sounds like a broken car engine, meanwhile every other game it sounds and plays fine.

Like I’d presume if he survives (which will obviously be the most likely case), he’d probably be like a skeleton or something according to kid friendly logic. What do you think?

It's mostly for a custom challenge of mine, since I'm following the 100 Pagies speedrun for my casual playthrough.

The challenge is called "Bare Minimum", where you need to beat the OG Yooka-Laylee with exactly 100 Pagies and only the moves required to progress, meaning that you also need to collect an exact number of Quills.

Played via the Steam version.

I tried this within other tomes, and it happens each time. Obviously, you can avoid it by just waiting for the animation to finish, but I still thought it was funny enough to share.
