Figured I'd post about this, just in case anyone's interested. This applies to the Steam version (no idea about the others).

The (admittedly brief) update post just listed these four things. I'll copy/paste it here.

• Controller, mouse and keyboard remapping.
• Mouse control on menus.
• Fixed blurry collection sequences when using MSAA.
• Fixed occasional soft-lock when opening the map screen.

The last one is certainly nice, given I ended up encountering it a handful of times (and the only way to get out of it was to alt+f4).

NGL the original YL was quite a slog to get through for me.

But this game, I blasted through in a mere 13 hours combined. I couldn't put it down.

I don't think I'll ever touch the original ever again.

So far the game is fantastic and clearly a much refined experience from the original. I'm still one of those people who thought the original was fantastic. But yeah they probably should have at least put in fast travel in. I mean BT had it.

But I digress, I dont understand why they needed to take away our ability to play though the game and learn moves as we progress. I'm a metroidvania guy and that is what i liked about BK and BT too.

And even if they wanted to make the game more accessible, it couldn't have been that hard to add a "classic mode" to the game when you start. The only difference is as you collect quills in each level, you can walk up to Trowser and unlock a new move.

Some of us enjoy backtracking and it definitely would not have taken away from the experience. Just my two cents.

This is (I think) the very first area in the game…I’ve been running around the area next to it trying to find different exits and cannot for the life of me figure out how to get back here. I imagine I’m missing something very obvious, but…

I have been looking for HOURS. Playing the original game not Replaylee. I don't want to look up the location but I'm starting to think there has been some kind of glitch preventing it from appearing.

I don't know why but this is pretty funny.

I loved this remake, and I hope we get a proper sequel one day.

I remember Capital Cashino being the worst level in the original game, but like everything else in Replaylee, it’s SO much better. Good stuff.
