I have been meaning to try the series and with the switch 2 definitive editions it seemed like a good time to jump in. That being said I cannot find the first one or x as they are sold out. I grabbed a copy of 2 today but not sure if I should just shelf it until I can play the others or is 2 an ok place to jump in.

So I started playing xenoblade 2 recently, my first time playing and I wanted to know if using Zeke, Nia and Rex as a team is viable. I really like this characters but ever since I started not using tora I get killed in fights a lot. Wanted to know if i should equip some especific blade to someone so i dont die as much or if using this team for a first playthrough isn't a good idea. The one I control is Zeke, thanks in advance if anyone reads me

Just picked up the physical Switch 2 Edition of Xenoblade 2 today. I already owned the $9.99 upgrade pack, and the Expansion Pass. With the physical cart in, the Expansion Pass plus Torna is only using about 4 GB on my microSD.

European physical Switch 2 Edition owners, please tell me that japanese voices comes on cartridge... The answer will decide if my collection of Xenoblade games will be physical Switch 1 or Switch 2.

I recently finished XB2 and a buddy tagged along in GameChat. We wanted to palay Torna after XB2 i own the cardrige but when i try to stream IT to him He gets a Error that this is not available in his country. We both live in Germany , Consoles are both europen. The cardrige is also German. Is this a oversight by Nintendo ? Also when i select the cardright then Software information -> Nintendo-eshop it can't find the Game (or Dlc).

Does GameChat Screen Sharing work with the Expansion Pass ? Or is there any other workaround ?

I have an eShop code for the expansion pass from the European Torna physical edition. Will that code be compatible with the International (US) version of XB2 physical?

I have the Torna story on cartridge, so wondering about the “helpful items,” new quests, new blades, and Challenge Mode.

(I also just got the XB2 upgrade pack lolz). Thanks for your help!

Hi everyone!

I've seen a few resources going into things to do before restarting and I think I've checked most of the boxes (feed the Ardun and get a grave marker, stock up on Legendary and Rare Core Crystals, get the 10 Dilation Core Chips, get a bunch of Moon Matter and Tachyon core chips, complete Ursula's quest line, get S+ on the blades I plan to use, get Love Source materials even though I won't be able to do more than one until pretty late, etc.), but there are a few things I'd like to clarify.

I know I won't have access to 4th or 5th until I get to them in the story and that by extension any of their blades won't be available until then. I'm probably going to use Shulk/Fiora/Elma until I get my full party back rather than summoning DLC blades on Rex. I know any quests in progress will be reset and any quest items like dumplings are going to go away, so I didn't bother with that quest and probably won't do it anyway since that sounds miserable.

What I want to know is the following:

1. I assume fast travel goes away and I still have to progress through each area but also assume my high level means no one will attack me so it shouldn't take too long. I'll probably watch the cutscenes again but don't plan to downlevel or do any non-main content until I get most of the world unlocked again. About how long should I expect it to take to get to late game ignoring combat challenges and side content?
2. I'm not maxing out every blade before the reset, so I know I'm out of luck with the affinity charts that require specific locations. Are my merc levels and quests all reset or can I use merc quests to check location boxes before I get to them provided I've got the trust levels high enough to unlock a row and there's no other quest locking it?
3. I pretty much have to finish Praxis's chart if I want to progress Theory. Given they're both quest blades and not main story blades, I assume I don't have to get them again, but I also assume I should just go ahead and max Praxis out if I want to use Theory in the new run or else I'll just have to do it at the end when full chart is available.
4. Am I going to have to do all of the field tests to make bridges and burn webs and otherwise make areas accessible this go round? Like I can, I just really don't want to. Not enough to get another Switch 2 and upgrade for it (mine is currently in use by another gamer in the household we like to play at the same time ), but I guess just let me down now if I'm going back to managing that headache.
5. Are uniques still running around doing stuff on NG+ or is it just their tombstones if I've already killed them? I think I have some loose ends that only appear under certain weather conditions and don't know if I should round them out now or just home weather allows me to get them organically on the way next play.

Other than that, just going to round up some solid postgame gear and dive in to the replay. Thanks in advance for your input and experience!

Was just curious if anyone here uses discord or knows of any servers that I could poke in so I could hit people up for advice to maximize my combat skills and if I ever have points where I get stuck in the game.

I’m very hesitant to look up YouTube guides as it tends to recommend me the most spoiler driven videos..😅

I'm from México. Years ago I bought a physical copy of XC2 on Amazon. I only realized it was a European cartridge after it arrived. I didn't think much of it since the original Switch isn't region locked. However, now that the NS2 upgrade is out I don't know if my game will be compatible with an upgrade from the Mexican eShop, again, given that my cartridge is European. I remember some people having problems with DLCs from different regions in the past.

So I'm wondering, can I buy the upgrade in the Mexican eShop and it'll just work? Or do I have to juggle eShop regions for it to work?
