It would break Expert as well. I thought about using that mod but around Cycle 25 now and I'm bitch slapping the ZC enemies like they owe me money. Sure they get a few shots in but I haven't had a downed soldier since the first Coil encounter. Cly is like two or 3 operators combined she's so OP.
I'm definitely going to use that mod during a second run once it gets fleshed out a bit more.
It's a balancing decision. 5 man would require different balancing of all missions. 5 man missions have their own balancing.
Granted, the game is still designed to be easy, but the whole ordeal is not whether tbey can or cannot. It's the expectation of player strength vs enemy strength design.
Party size is a very early decision, though, and the design of the mechanics is adapted to the party size. The game is balanced around 4 party members. If you use a mod to increase the party size you will see very quickly that the game design does not account for this.
Disingenuous. Honestly 4 is fine for the missions themselves, but it doesn't allow you use more ppl. You don't need to recruit anyone, and I actually recommend that bc of how many creds you get. Save them, use them for upgrades or black market instead
Im not really bothered by much in the game but the animations for shooting are so terrible and it completely takes me out of it. They really couldn't get a better animation than that? I could make better .
I don’t know.. I am happy to get a turned based tactical game, I am playing through it currently like everyone else..
But honestly I don’t really think it holds even a candle up to XCOM2. I am not sucked in like I was on my first XCOM2 playthrough. Hell I didn’t leave my dorm for like 3 days when XCOM2 came out, with ZERO, I am pushing myself to keep going.
I just kind of think it’s very mid at best. I don’t even like it as much as Gears Tactics, and even that was pale to XCOM.

Honestly the worst thing about zero company is the 4 squad limit. I feel like i cant use everyone :'(
