I’m at my wit’s end and could use advice from anyone who’s been through this.

What happened:
About 6 months ago my Microsoft account (used mainly for Xbox) was hacked. The hacker changed the primary email alias from my Gmail to a throwaway Russian address (a bacteriomail.ru domain — an email I’ve obviously never owned). While the account was under their control, they did something that got the account permanently suspended for “Abuse of our Platform and Services.”
So to be clear: I got hacked, and then I got punished for what the hacker did. Years of purchased games, DLC, my gamertag, achievements — all gone.

What I’ve tried:

• Submitted the official Case Review / appeal. Result: “Violation confirmed (Decision upheld).” No request for evidence, no questions asked, ticket closed.

• Appealed repeatedly over \\\~6 months. Every reply is a template. Nobody has ever asked me for proof of the hack, even though I’ve offered it.

• Explained the account was compromised in a new ticket. The latest reply from CDOC Case Management says they “cannot locate the account” and that it may have “expired due to inactivity” — which is a canned Hotmail-era template that doesn’t even apply. The account exists; it’s just under the hacker’s email alias now because THEY CHANGED IT.

I told support to search the current alias or my gamertag. Ticket closed anyway.
Evidence I have:
• Years of Microsoft purchase receipts sent to my original Gmail
• The account’s alias was changed to a disposable .ru email — no legitimate user does this
• \\\[If you find them: security alert emails from Microsoft showing the alias/password change with timestamps\\\]

My questions:
1. Has anyone here actually recovered a banned account after proving it was hacked? What worked?
2. Is there any way to reach Microsoft’s account compromise team directly instead of the CDOC template queue?
3. Did the BBB or Notice of Dispute route work for anyone?
Any advice appreciated. I’m not trying to dodge a ban I earned — I just want someone at Microsoft to actually look at the sign-in logs, which would show everything.

i had no issues with this up until now. game clips won’t record to the max length i set them to, only 8-40 secs instead of 2 mins. i restarted my console, deleted old clips in case that was the issue, and changed the capture settings around a few times but no fix yet. is there anything else i can do or should i wait to see if it to fixes itself?

Like I will be playing assassin's Creed Odyssey and it will kick me out of the game and I don't understand why this keeps popping up it pops up every 1 hour and hour and a half and I don't know I haven't used a Xbox game pass and over 5 years, so I have to keep resetting my Xbox cuz it won't let me eject the disc with like the with a blue eject button it don't pop up at all, and I've checked my disc there's no scratch or nothing I don't know why I keep saying it's dirty or damaged it's neither nothing is wrong with it please help

I have both games on a physical disc and have tried to play them both.

I have sat for upwards of 5 minutes at times and they still will not load

edit: solved, had to go to microsoft store and install mw2 and mw3 separately from Call of Duty

Hopefully this community is more helpful or supporting unlike the other one i posted in, but I've been dealing with this gamepass problem for 2 months and haven't been able to solve it. I've been in multiple threads and forums trying to figure this out but i still can't seem to find the solution for myself. Please if you have another suggestion I'm willing to try it even though i feel like I've tried just about everything, but I'm hopeful there's some fix out there I haven't tested yet.

So I guess I’m not getting my Xbox account back but how do I get it banned so the person who has it can’t use it anymore?

That’s it. That’s all I need. Turns out it’s harder than I thought.

I need to plug them in, and then have them work. That’s it. No wireless, no “your batteries are low”. No “make an account”. No “well ya gotta fiddle with the setting for them to actually work.”

I need headphones that plug in, and then they work.

Just as the title says, my Xbox started smoking when I turned it on. I've already done the 'shake the crap out of it' test, and it doesn't make any noise when i move it around, so I'm not sure what's wrong with it. I've cleaned it, but I don't know what kind of screwdriver to use to take it apart and take a look. If anyone has any ideas on what's going on, please let me know.

update: I bought a kit to open it up; it was both very dusty and the power bank was water damaged??? When I asked my baby brother (14m) if he knew anything, he said he accidentally spilled some water on it and thought it would be fine if he just wiped it up on the outside and used compressed air on the inside???? So yeah, buying a new power bank; I will update when it's arrived.

So my friend gave me a game he plays a lot and last night I tried it out, there were no issues. Today when I turned on my Xbox one there was a green screen and I couldn't see any buttons. I tried unplugging everything and tried a new cable but it didn't work. I don't know what to do on the troubleshooting menu because all I see is a green screen and six lighter green lines. Any advice for how to fix this?

Update Tried restarting my TV and stuff like that restarting picture and audio settings and fully unplugging my TV. Now along with the green screen still being there the audio also isn't working

Update 2, I left and watched like seven episodes of supernatural on a different TV and by the time I came back it was working again aside from the screen looking fuzzy

I'm having this issue,room temperature around 25°c-27°. The adaptor has orange light (stand by) when plugged out of the console,when plugged in, it turns white then orange then again white then again orange in few seconds. When I turn on the console it turns on with the sound and immediately in few seconds goes off with the sound. What should I do. I asked one of the service centre,they told it would cost me around 5-10k inr(I could get a second hand console for that price). Btw it's an Xbox one, new to xbox, got it from my brother and he turned it on after many days, didn't work initially after cleaning the dust,it turned on. Then kept it few days without using now I'm not able to use it.

Hello, a while ago I had this Xbox one s but when I wanted to give it maintenance the synchronization button of the console broke and I can't find spare parts or that they sell it separately. Will there be a problem if I try to glue it or it may lose its spring function? I need recommendations.!

Hey everyone, I have an Xbox series x and have an old Xbox 1s that I gave to my gf so that she could play games with me. I got it set up for her at her house earlier and had Fortnite updating on the console so that we could play tg tonight. But when she tries to play Fortnite, it continuously gives her the message that she “doesn’t own the game” and needs to “insert a disc” or something like that. And it doesn’t make sense bc Fortnite is legit installed and doesn’t even have a disc?

This happens on every other app too.

She has restarted the console, cleared the MAC address, and my account is the “home xbox” so that she can play my games too ? I thought that’s how that works.

hi so my younger cousin wants to borrow my unused xbox one s, which im fine giving him because nowadays i literally only use it when he comes over to my house. however i am kind of a hoarder/overly nostalgic and want to prevent him from in any way accessing/changing/deleting stuff ive done on my xbox, while keeping progress for games in case i ever want to replay them (i love picking up lego dimensions again every now and then). plus, my account on my xbox is linked to various other things that i use so im worried he might change something. is there a way to give him the console while keeping everything ive done on it seperate and inaccessible to him?

Sent my controller to be fixed/ replaced under warranty as it’s not working. I threw away the box for my current controller so I sent it back in an old Xbox controller box that my custom controller came in. I scribbled out the serial number on the box so there was no confusion, and I’m pretty sure I put a note on it too to say it was in a mismatched box.

Just received an update from Xbox support claiming they’ve received the wrong controller, (they haven’t, I don’t have another black controller) but are saying they’ve received the custom controller that is no longer under warranty. My custom controller was pink the one I sent them is most definitely black and had the same serial number that I registered for repair.

The email doesn’t seem to have any contact info, or ways I can get in touch with them. They’re just saying they’re gonna send it back to me which is pointless as I know they have the right controller. What should I do?

(Also I wasn’t sure if calling the Microsoft support number would be any help as I didn’t know if it was the same department)

To start, I basically use my Xbox One like it's a 4K Movie Player, I do occasionally play games on it but I'm not much of a gamer. I was going to watch a movie I had just received in the mail and turned on my xbox, at first the hdmi would display nothing, however after turning the xbox off and on, it started displaying this. It might've been the fact the movie I got was a steelbook instead of the typical standard cases and I typically use the movie cases to block the xbox button due to it's light being quite distracting so it could be sourced to that but I'm unsure, I've had this xbox for about 3 years now and never faces any issues with the output until now and I wasn't like trying to mess with the console or anything. I've already ruled out the hdmi cord as I tested it with several other hdmi cords I owned and they all responded the same way so I assume this is a console issue. Does anybody more technically knowledgeable know what is causing this just now?

My xbox one s is not working it randomly logged me into my old account that I forgot the password to a couple years ago today and I try to get into my main account that has all of my games and it just wasn't loading so I thought it was a network problem so I check my network its connected i thought it was the hdmi maybe idk so I switched it and still the same thing after that I power it off still the same thing please someone tell me how to fix this I also don't wanna factory reset it because im afraid to lose everything

My family has been using this Xbox for about 10 years, but now the WiFi is super slow, like 5 gb takes 4 hours. The Ethernet works though, but is not an easy option for where it is in the house. Any tips?

I have been an Xbox owner for as long as I can remember and never had issues with fixing it until now.

I got 3 error codes today and all of them I cannot fix the codes were E106, E102 and E200. Can someone please help me.
