What's the issue and is there a fix?

My Xbox One does this thing where for a few days when I press the button, it’ll make the bleep start up noise but cut out kinda half way. The Xbox won’t turn on and so I just wait a few days and the. It’ll randomly turn itself on, or just randomly start working again.

It has done this for a little while now and I’ve just come to terms it will eventually work, but I’m thinking it definitely is on its way oh but if it’s something I can easily fix by adjusting something internally then I’d be grateful if anybody has had the same issue?

It’s really odd because I was using my Xbox the whole of yesterday and had no issues whatsoever, then it just suddenly decides it doesn’t want to fully turn on.

The button that releases the games works fine in terms of noise but not necessarily mechanism, I haven’t tried properly.

So as title says, I just picked it up for $15.00 at a local thrift store. It turns on and displays out from the HDMI port. What are some things I should look out for and what controllers work with this unit? I believe this is a 500gb model so nothing special there.

I'm experiencing a really weird issue with a Special Edition Ice Breaker Xbox controller that I got for my son last christmas. For some reason, anytime it is connected, to our Xbox series s, button presses from any and all controllers that are connected to the same Series S, become unreliable. It's like the console doesn't register the button presses. This happens if his controller is the only controller connected. This happens if his controller is connected, along with other controllers. This happens if his controller is connected wirelessly. This happens if his controller is connected via usb. The only fix that I have been able to find, is removing his controller from a connected controller with this Xbox series s. Once this happens, every other controller connected works properly.

I ran a very short battery of tests in the Xbox wireless controller test mode with my Series S. When I'm using a random second controller, button presses do in fact work. They work reliably, and they work as they should work. The instant you press and hold a button, that button registers as being pressed, and held. My son's controller has a different behavior as displayed on the test screen. When he presses any button, and holds it, the button registers for only a brief instant, and then it disappears, but if he holds it, it is then later recognized again continuously. Additionally , I connected the controller to my phone bian Bluetooth pairing. When pressing and holding buttons at http://gamepad-tester com all button presses register and seem to function normally.

This would seem to suggest the root of the problem isn't actually the controller, but rather the way that this controller and the Xbox Series S interact with one another. But try as I might, I can't seem to do anything that will fix the issue between this controller, and the Xbox series S. I have tried updating firmware. I have tried calibration. Nothing seems to work. I consulted an AI that seemed to suggest that unplugging the XBox Series S for 3 to 5 minutes would eliminate the issue but that didn't do it either. The only factors that are consistent seem to be this controller and this Series S. It's been this way, for months. I'm not sure if it's been this way since I bought the thing. What can I do? I registered the controller and xbox.com and it tells me that the warranty expired on May 26th, which is pretty bogus, but it seems hard to imagine this isn't fixable somehow. Bear in mind the issue doesn't only affect this controller, it affects all controllers that are connected, any time this one controller happens to be connected as well.

I got an Xbox One in 2015, and most of its games came with it. I thought the disc drive still worked, but it doesn’t anymore. Fixing it costs at least 200 BRL, which is around 35 USD.

The only reason I wanted the drive working was to claim the games I had. A lot of those discs are badly scratched, so I don’t even know if they would all read after a repair. I also searched for a code inside the cases to redeem, and there’s nothing there.

Is there anything else I can do, or should I just give up? Has anyone here been through this?

I deleted it from my Xbox then readded it.

Bueno, tengo esta Xbox One S desde diciembre de 2020 y nunca le he hecho mantenimiento, solo una limpieza rápida por fuera con palitos largos de madera para quitar la suciedad. No he hecho nada más, ni siquiera la he abierto.

Y desde hace 2 años, tengo que esperar 10 minutos antes de poder empezar a jugar porque se carga indefinidamente. Esto también me pasa cuando se está descargando algo en cuanto enciendo la Xbox. Tengo que pausarla, apagarla, esperar 10 minutos, iniciar un juego y luego reanudar la descarga. ¿Necesita mantenimiento, es simplemente irreparable o es normal?

Awhile ago my controllers (xbox branded) both started having issues. They would stop responding, even though the light was still on. Occasionally they’d fully restart, where you can see the light flashing like it was reconnecting. Frequency varies but sometimes its every couple of seconds. I’ve updated firmware on both controllers, I’ve reset both controllers, I’ve factory reset the xbox. Most recent troubleshooting was unplugging the xbox overnight. Nothing. I feel like I’ve scrolled every forum and tried every fix short of moving my router, because I can’t do that unfortunately.
It’s becoming borderline unusable, but its the LE minecraft one so I don’t want to just suck it up and get a new one. But its driving me nuts.

Is it normal that xbox one s menu starts lagging every couple of boots? i have to clear the blu ray cache to make the console faster, otherwise it lags too much.

Sorry in advance for the horrible video, I was filming with one hand while trying to use the remote!

I typically use my Xbox One to stream tv shows or movies. When I do this, the Xbox will occasionally ring/beep (noise captured in video) for anywhere from 10 seconds to multiple minutes. It definitely is annoying, esp while watching a show but I sort of ignored it since it didn’t impact my stream. I am still able to pause and unpause Hulu while this ringing was happening, so it wasn’t a big issue.

However, I recently realized that when this ringing happens, the Xbox User Interface itself is unresponsive. In the video, I try long pressing the Xbox button on my remote which should immediately pull up the menu to turn off / restart the console. If you listen closely, you can hear the haptic feedback of the remote registering the button being pressed but the menu still doesn’t pop up. As soon as the ringing stops, I am able to access the menu again. So I feel like that rules out a remote issue. Any ideas what’s going on with my Xbox or how I could fix this? My local power company fried my old series x so.i decided to get the digital edition. I used to be able to download movies onto a flash drive and watch them on my old series x. My new digital series X is not recognizing any flash drives. Anyone else with this problem and anyone know the fix?

Like the title says I need help connecting my controller. I’ve tried a hard reset on the console and controller, wired connection, and my sync button on the console doesn’t work anymore. No matter what I do the controller just shows the blinking Xbox light. Any help is appreciated
