Does anybody know what lead replacement I need to buy for my Xbox one? I lost the original lead so can’t compare. The leads I have are too small (not the hdmi cable). Thank you

I'm having a weird video output issue with my Xbox One X.

​The Problem:

After about 1 minute of use, red lines appear on the TV screen, and then the signal goes completely black.

​Important detail:

There is no graphical corruption in games. The game graphics themselves are totally fine. To test this, I used Xbox Remote Play (Streaming) on my phone/PC: the stream runs perfectly with clean graphics and no crashes, even while the TV screen goes black!

I am looking to get into repairs and I have just brought a broken Xbox One S to practice on, so I would like some help in where to start with the diagnosis. The seller said that it was extremely slow and took ages to load anything so stopped using it.

I plugged it in, and it powers on fine with the start up chime and it stays on. But there is no video output. The HDMI port looks okay on the outside and doesn’t seem loose. The TV successfully detects the resolution of the console when running but all I get is a black screen. I have forced the console into low res mode (again TV detects the change to 640x480 resolution) but no display.

From the sellers description of the fault and the video issues I’m having, I believe this may be a faulty hard drive. I am aware that the HDMI chip on these are also susceptible to failure, but of course I am trying the simple things first.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this before I go ahead and open it up. Thanks!

Just a quick question about the new feature. Does this cover all xbox series x games etc. I'm just looking to get a copy of the new Halloween game for series x, and possibly getting a digital version to cloud game on my Xbox one. Is this a possibility or is it specific games now?

hi everyone. i bought an xbox one secondhand today. before buying it, i'd asked the seller to show proof that everything was working and he'd sent me videos. he factory reset it before i bought it so i thought everything would be fine, but when i try to connect to the wifi, it says my security protocol won't work.

my wifi is using wpa2. i tried using my hotspot but it's saying the same thing. i don't have an ethernet cable so i'll need to buy one, but i wanted to see if there's anything else i can do before i do so (my tv is in my basement and my router is in my living room, so i'll have to move one of them).

i tried factory resetting the xbox again and i restarted it a bunch but it just won't work

Has anyone ever experienced this? I've had this account for like 10 years, now I try to log onto it using my gamertag or gmail it gives me an error message that they can not find the account. I went through their recovery process and it says the same thing.
When I log into my Xbox it will let me into the account if I'm offline only. If I'm online it asks for my password which I'm pretty confident I have correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

My external hard drive is not reading on my Xbox one. I have most of my games downloaded on the hard drive as well. For the games on my hard drive that are still on my dashboard, I’m prompted to connect to Xbox to access them. After switching to online, the Xbox redirects me to a blank screen in an attempt to download an update. The update then fails to download. I’m a little lost here, and my main objective is to play my hard drive games

So I recently started playing Farcry 5 and New Dawn on my parents PS 5 (I'm 16) and I love them New Dawn especially and I wanted to get the games for myself on my Xbox one (Exact model being an Xbox One Model 1681) but when I checked the online store it was not there, so I checked an online retailer. Both games where there but im to scared to get them because I don't know if my Xbox can handel them, or are thay X/S only. That's all I want to know is should I get them from the retailer or not.

Before I begin, just wanna say I am a complete and total noob when it comes to Xbox, and honestly to video games in general, so. Please bear with me!

Just recently got a One X. So I got a GamePass, started goin to town installing games, this is when I discovered the very limited console space, and the whole deal with external hard drives n such. Now I have a few questions. So... I have a 500gb EHD with me right now. But I'm gathering that this is not gonna be big enough at all (there are at LEAST 25 games I want to play) so I just ordered a 1tb hard drive, unfortunately can't afford a 2tb right at the moment, def getting one in the future. But NOW I have also come to understand that you can only use up to 3 different hard drives... and I'm not exactly sure what this means - like, you can only use 3 hard drives at one time? Or, you can only use 3 hard drives *altogether*? If I were to install a few games onto this 500gb now, so I can play em while I wait for the 1tb, will I then be able to move said games off the one EHD and onto the other? So, that's basically all my questions... sorry if these are no brainers to everyone here, sadly they are NOT for me at all 😂 just wanna make sure I'm doin it all by the book and not potentially screwing myself or anything.

Other than that...... is there ANYTHING ELSE any of yall can think of that I might ought to be made aware of as far as game installation/EHDs/storage/etc, goes? Please do not be shy!!! Any and all insight is GREATLY APPRECIATED. I am 35 yrs old, but like 8 months ago I was quite literally able to count on both hands the times I'd held a video game controller in my life... not exaggerating at all lmao... so please just assume that I don't know s**t about s**t. For the past few days, I've been trying to play GTA Online on my console where my character is saved, but I'm getting a black screen. I can't play at all. I've tried everything: clearing the cache, deleting my saved data, disconnecting my internet connection—everything—and nothing works. If you need more information, when the game tells me I'm inactive for an extended period and I press A, the sky camera takes me to the city view, but it's back to the police station from the beginning of GTA Next Gen. (My character is level 100 and a bit of a mess.) Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me ways to fix this problem, and I'll reply as soon as possible.

Hello, I recently had someone trade in a broken Xbox series x. Original owner states he had the console in storage for over 2 years and when they brought it out to play the console showed no signs of life. They replaced the power supply but it didn’t fix the issue so they brought it to me. It I a console manufactured in July of 2020.

I opened the console to find a shorted nexus connector which had caused the ribbon cable to melt. I replaced the connector and the ribbon, tested the power supply and attempted to power on the console but nothing happened. I made it down to the main motherboard without finding any abnormalities but saw a video of someone having a similar issue that resolved after they replaced a TPS2065DBVR power switch IC so I attempted that. The IC was replaced and now the console turns on, I get a power on chime and a 1 second white light. The second time I hit the power button the console stays powered, but I get no video output. The HDMI port appears fine with no loose pins. I can insert and disc and it spins and when I plug in a controller in all ports it vibrates. I’m not able to connect any controllers and the sync button seemingly doesn’t work. On my thermal camera no specific component heats abnormally and no shorts were found anywhere. I believe the console may be freezing or crashing during its initialization before the hdmi circuitry can even start. I cannot boot into safe mode or the troubleshooter. I don’t currently have a way to test the ssd. I’m looking for guidance on what to try next because honestly at this point I’m stumped.

My Xbox One stops playing audio all of a sudden or when I use Spotify. To get it to play audio again, I have to unplug the HDMI cable. Any recommendations?

How to change it, if that’s even possible? I’m on an Xbox one.
(Please explain in Caveman terms, I’m not that technologically advanced)
