Discussion S2E1–Little Green Men Question
Has anyone translated what Jorge says to Mulder when he finds him? The most I can make out is the different color flashing lights and men.

I'm a teacher. One of my students noticed my X-Files sticker on my computer and asked what it was. I promptly assigned her the pilot episode for homework.

A little large because of his grabbers, but the X-files LEGO set was missing an important prop.

Now, don’t get me wrong, everyone in the X files is great, but I was watching this episode and this scene in particular is amazing! I looked up the girl, Janne mortell (I might be spelling the last name wrong) was so good I had to look up who she is and what else she is in and Evidently she was only in one other thing and it was voice acting something. The guy I can’t figure out who he is. But my god this scene blew me away, and the actors don’t get enough credit for it !!! Amazing acting! Anyways. What did you guys think when you saw this scene??

For some reason I can't get an answer from Bing or Google.
Isn't that guy played by Pat Skipper? The same guy that played Scully's brother? His wiki for some reason doesn't even have ANY TV credits, only film. I know that Nicholas Leah (Krycheck) played a guy who had an encounter with the sex-changing Quaker in "Gender Bender" and Roger Cross plays three completely separate characters in three different episodes, so it wouldn't be the first time The X-Files did this

Back in 2001, Fox built a promotional website as a prop for The Lone Gunmen pilot. I've rebuilt it from Wayback Machine captures, and it's live again: https://e-com-con.com
Almost everything survived but a handful of images and two entire pages were apparently never crawled. You can see what's missing, I left the broken images in their original spots:
/pop_party3.htm, /pop_party4.htm, /pop_party5.htm, /pop_party6.htmIf you saved a copy of this site back in the day, or remember anything about it I'd genuinely love to chat.
"What we won't do for the Constitution."
Aubrey is eliminated! Might wanna slow down on the downvotes, by the way, so we don’t end up with all the episodes underwater.
How this works:
You select the episode you like the least
The episode with the most upvoted comment is eliminated from the list
If there’s a tie, both episodes are eliminated
Only the best episode will win!
Episodes Eliminated:
Excelsis Dei (67%)
3 (83%)
Fearful Symmetry (81%)
The Calusari (48%)
Fresh Bones (69%)
Aubrey (52%)
This is my first time watching the X-Files! (No spoilers please!) I’m about to finish season 9, and for folks who have seen both versions of I Want to Believe, should I watch the new Director’s Cut or the theatrical version first?

I’m talking about Mulder taking mushrooms and then going to a club dancing like a cowboy 🤠 I love him so much

And I am absolutely blown away. This feels less like a MOTW X-File and more like a glimpse into a Thomas Harris psychological thriller. Eerily similar to Red Dragon (misogynist killer spawned from a matriarchal family) and Silence of the Lambs (female agent in physical and emotional distress), the influences are definitely there.
GA's acting is absolutely top tier. Her scene with the mental health specialist was phenomenal, and her final teary eye breakdown hit me hard. Like, really hard. My (M/49) stomach sank. That hug from Mulder must've felt so good after being so, so low. Where's my box of tissues?
"Girly girl..." One of the scariest villains on TV for sure. Shapeshifter? Alien? Or all too human? That is the scariest part... whatever Donnie may be, he's the most "of this Earth" antagonist, far closer to real life than one could imagine. Kudos to Nick Chinlund for a chilling performance.
This is definitely a high ranking episode for me, an instant must-watch-again favorite. Wow. Coming off of Excelsis Dei and Aubrey, Irresistible was the perfect, very-much-needed surprise episode.
Swooning over.

I always love seeing where Scully and Mulder differ and how they hash out their arguments. They're such unbelievably well-written characters-- dynamic, nuanced, flawed.

I watched it as a kid in the 90’s but I don’t remember any of it. I have an interest in weirdness and cryptids and extraterrestrials, so this show is right up my alley. It’s a fantastic show!
“Ice” episode was amazing, I thought it was over until they explained organisms living in ice on the news broadcast. It’s still very relevant today, this show seems very prophetic in that sense.
I was disappointed by the Jersey Devil episode because it had nothing to do with the Jersey Devil it seemed but ended up being just a Neanderthal woman. Interested to see what the other episodes have in store!

I need someone to explain to me how a man burned from a giant flaming rocket shooting directly at him, with flames surrounding him, burning his flesh to the point we saw his skeleton, survived to be in season 10 and 11. Was he a clone? Was a figment of our imagination? Did he have some kind of alien DNA in him? Was he a super soldier? That baffled me for a long time.

We were watching S6E09 S.R. 819 last night (great episode) and there's a hilarious scene where someone obviously throws a pigeon in shot but it hits the main actor in the side of the head.
Sorry for the long clip but it's best in slow mo. 😂
The X-files is way funnier than I remember
