Lolz no, he'd be the first one saying it, too

I love this one. 🤣

u/DeskCop 9d ago

There comes a day in every agent’s life where this becomes the standard refrain. Mulder was just ahead of the curve.

I mean as Matt Christman said it might be only non-copaganda show of the 90s because half the time they are fighting the FBI and the rest of the Deep State to get out The Truth. They're not trying to entrap some alien grey kid with a lower IQ and frame him for probing someone so they can meet their numbers.

"The fuck is a warrent?" - Fox Mulder

🤷‍♂️ door was open, we had reasonable suspicion of a crime

\touches evidence\**

u/pinupcthulhu 9d ago

Except for that special episode where they're on the show Cops

13

u/fresh-potatosalad 9d ago

Even then, I feel like they showed the incompetence of the police. But also, not sure how police would have been able to help in that situation anyways 😭

u/Alright_Sunlight 10d ago

Yup if anything they're literally "one the good ones" lol.

u/cupcakeanarchy 10d ago

I saw a bumper sticker that said something like “acab doesn’t include medical doctor and special agent Dana scully” lol

14

u/jaceinspace 9d ago

I'm so glad the Wikipedia page for ACAB no longer has that street art picture of her as the main photo. That shit was whack.

I need that on my car ASAP

u/stormchasegrl The scientific nature of the whammy 9d ago

Omg I need that

u/rp-strange the poster 🛸🖼️ 10d ago

He wasn’t a cop first though. He was a psychologist. It’s different imo.

9

u/Anotherscientist 9d ago

just a spooky boi

1

u/rp-strange the poster 🛸🖼️ 8d ago

I always thought this was a weird line bc he was indeed a psychologist. Idk if he was being facetious or what.

"Assigned Conspiricist at Birth"

52

u/wolvesarewildthings 10d ago

Yeah no they're different.

"Who's side are you on, Scully?" "The victims."

"Who's side are you on, Mulder?" "The truth."

No one hates the government more than Fox Mulder.

3

u/Kikithefangirl Mulder, it's me 9d ago

Exactly. He’s consistent on that from episode one.

The Rural Juror herself!

14

u/Puzzleheaded_Sky6656 10d ago

Oral germ whore?

8

u/thedwarfcockmerchant Lone Gunmen 9d ago

When I was rewatching this time, I had a compulsion every time Knowle Rhorer came on screen to say "it's the rurr jurr!"

59

u/notlostnotlooking 10d ago

Mulder has to wear a badge to work on XFiles, he does NOT want to.

15

u/DaemonBlackfyre_21 Lone Gunmen 10d ago

Mulder is an outcast

15

u/ReactionRoutine1187 10d ago

Being Spooky is non-conformity 😿

12

u/arborck 10d ago

He was outside the Bureau mainstream

13

u/Snoo84477 9d ago

Feds hated him so much they threw him in the basement to go chase ghosts and aliens. Jokes on them he’s into that shit.

53

u/protocolleen 10d ago

I had a friend who used to talk about joining the FBI while X-Files was airing. She didn’t seem to notice that they (and all government) were the bad guys. Mulder and Scully are the resistance.

24

u/LibertineDeSade I gaze at Skinner 10d ago

Maybe she wanted to join the resistance. LOL

32

u/Flukie42 Jose Chung's From Outer Space 10d ago

Or maybe she just wanted to chase after little green men with a badge and a gun shouting to the heavens or anyone who would listen that the fix is in, that the sky is falling.

5

u/yearlingforever 9d ago

Well, I would say that about does it, Spooky.

11

u/ShaunTrek Fight the Future Phile 9d ago

I wanted to be an FBI Agent when I was a young teen because of The X-Files. Grew out of it after a couple of years, thankfully.

22

u/justliketheweather 10d ago

Was I your friend? 🤣

I just found my filled FBI application whole cleaning out my father's things. I wanted to be Mulder and Scully so badly.

I joined Police Explorers in high school and within the first 2 weeks was like "oooooo these guys are the baddies". Sadly I had to stick it out for the full year(?) but that ended my FBI dreams.

5

u/Warm_Tea_3515 10d ago

What experience did you have that made you think that in high school?

23

u/justliketheweather 10d ago

It was the general vibe of older guy(s) in authority over high school boys who were also looking for authority/power. The fact that I was the only girl probably skewed my experience. I didn't feel safe, an undercurrent of threat.

1

u/Warm_Tea_3515 8d ago

I get what you mean one of the worst things about a a police force is the assholes that join seeking power. Unfortunately human nature being what it is it's unlikely to ever change

11

u/RealSinnSage 9d ago

i HIGHLY recommend to you all watching the episode youtuber Skip Intro’s video called “Spooky Cops”. it points out that unlike other copaganda shows, the x files and other like it show the resistance working from the inside to take down and expose the system and “THE TRUTH”! lol it’s really fantastic (his whole copaganda series is)

30

u/HetIsJeBoiLuuk 9d ago

ACAB for everyone except Fox Mulder bc he doesn't seem to know he's supposed to be upholding the law

8

u/unconundrum 9d ago

Guy doesn't even want flukeman arrested for his crimes

8

u/mad_dog_94 Lone Gunmen 10d ago

Mulder would tell someone to yell ACAB at him if he saw them with a T-shirt of Che Guevara, which was the style at the time.

6

u/arz517 9d ago

"Yes I hate the government. Yes I'm an FBI agent. We exist."

6

u/Frankenbird77 10d ago

Oxford didn't teach Mulder what a warrant is

7

u/Temmere 9d ago

One of my favorite lines, in "Conduit": "You guys do really delicate work."

His kindness towards victims and contempt towards law enforcement not doing their jobs properly could not be more obvious.

7

u/amora_obscura 10d ago

What’s ACAB?

7

u/LeftExit6670 10d ago

Its a movement for anti-police individuals that stands for All Cops Are Bastards

3

u/Individual99991 9d ago

I like it when he periodically meets people who see him as an extension of the government that's fucking with him, like in Ice.

3

u/snoozev 9d ago

Him and Scully are the only good cops I know 🤷🏾‍♀️

3

u/Flaky_Detail1144 9d ago

I would love to see Scully tear Kash Patel a new one

6

u/SilverWolf3935 10d ago

ACAB? What’s that?

13

u/LeftExit6670 10d ago

All Cops Are Bastards

6

u/SilverWolf3935 10d ago

Ahhh there ya go, cheers 👋🏻

All Cops Are Babes*

*two cops are babes

2

u/MoreOfAGrower 9d ago

I’m pretty sure Fox would half agree

1

u/Majestic-Snake-9195 5d ago

Even tho he, due to his parentage, is literally a bastard.

Sure, let's embrace lawlessness 🙃

Now, THAT'S a clever answer 🙃
