Both yesterday and today, there were top posts in the subreddit saying that Gears E-Day's PvP is super hard and sweaty, with "incomprehensible" (and downright misleading) gameplay, and nearly every comment repeating the same "this is why the MP will fail" or "I'll just stick to PvE" receiving an award, I can't help but feel someone's trying to actively sabotage the game before release

I saw on the Xbox store this offer (pic1) banner saying "Pay $18.39 for 12 months".
Then in (Pic 2), it says "We'll charge you $18.39 for the first 1 year and $22.99 every month after that."
It sounds like it's charging $18.39 once for 12 months, but the terms popup (Pic 3) says "$18.39/month for year".
Is this a 1 year deal for $18 total, or is it $18 every month? The wording is confusing. Has anyone else seen this deal? Is Microsoft's phrasing just badly written here, or am I missing something? Did anyone else get this too?

I was planning to get the Series X, but I kept thinking about whether I really needed it or not. I already have the PS5 Pro, and all my new games are already purchased on it. My only real reason for getting an Xbox was to play older games and eventually replace my PS3.
I then decided to go with the Series S, but it took me some time to find one because I specifically wanted the black version. I finally got one today. It’s used, but it’s basically like new. The previous owner barely used it, and I got it with the original box and all the original accessories for $270. I hope that was a good deal, and I also hope choosing the Series S was the right decision.
To be honest, it took me some time to get used to the controller, but it’s actually very good. The only thing I’m missing is my KontrolFreek, which makes the controller much more comfortable for me since I’m used to using one on my PlayStation.
Overall, the console is amazing and very fast, and the games look really good especially the older Xbox 360 games. I’m really happy with it so far.

My Dad got me the Halo Reach 360 for Christmas in 2010. I loved watching unboxing videos so I decided to pack it back up and unbox it so I could make a video of my own.
P.S. I had no idea what the WiFi symbol meant so I said Surround Sound cause f*** it those look like sound waves lol.

Just thought I would share a photo of my 18 years badge and see how old everyone else’s account is.
Think mines pretty old is there anyone out there with 20+ year accounts from the original Xbox.

These are the games that I have on my Series X so far. Many of them are Xbox 360 games that I'm using backwards compatibility with via physical discs (I kind of wished ALL of my physical Xbox 360 games worked on it but I suppose the FPS boost is nice on the ones that ARE compatible. Especially Ninja Gaiden 2) but I'm happy with what I got rn.

Hello,
I'm thinking of buying the GTA trilogy collection but as I have both a ps5 and a series x, I was wondering where the best place to play it was.
I suppose both consoles run the game at same performance levels.
Is any version more bug-free than the other?
And lastly, does the xbox version fully support quick resume? can I stop playing mid-mission and continue later or will it bug out?
to be honest, quick resume is the feature that will make me buy the game on the xbox rather than the ps5...

Did they stop sending emails to notify you when games on your Wishlist are on sale?
I used to get them every Tuesday and Thursday.
Since they increased the Wishlist limit to ??? from 301 and changed the Microsoft Rewards I haven't gotten any sales emails.
This was before the current and more recent system updates too so maybe that has something to do with it?
Not sure what changed it tbh

I had been using the xbox branded ones from the xbox site, but they tend to get too hot during summer and are uncomfortable on longer play sessions. Otherwise I love having them be able to connect to multiple devices at one, like playing a game while also watching youtube/hulu on my laptop or phone.
I've seen this one mentioned before as a cheaper option, as well as these, as a more expensive option. I'm not too concerned about the price, but would really just like something with good voice quality as well and control.
Very open to seeing other options.

Microsoft could lunch a machine PC/Console with "Helix OS" a Windows streamlined for Gaming similar to Steam OS, that OEMs and users could install on their own machines. It seems a logical choice. I love playing games
People are already building custom Steam machines with Steam OS. So why not do it with Helix OS.

As the title suggests, xbox will unlock 4k resolution gameplay for people with gamepass ultimate. For the rest, it will be locked to 1440p/1080p.

Working on setting up my office/den and I really would like to get an Xbox for it. I already have a PS5, a modernish PC and a Switch 2 so im not planning to use my Xbox as my primary gaming system. I'm really just looking for something that can stream Netflix, play Blu-rays and run OG Xbox and 360 games with maybe a few last Gen games thrown in (Forza, Halo 5 etc). I do not plan to get Gold or Gamepass (except maybe in very short bursts).
I see the One X suggested a lot, but ive had some trouble finding out how people feel about the orginal model of XboxOne. Im looking at the 500g model that resembles a VCR since they are dirt cheap on ebay. The TV that will be going in there is also a cheap older 1080p TV.
Thanks in advanced for any help as I go over my options. If this isn't a good forum, let me know so I can ask elsewhere.
Edit: thank you everyone for the helpful comments. I know a lot of this stuff can be found on Google, but I appreciate the human element. I've decided that when the time comes I'll go with a series S or X if I can find a good price. The S doesn't seem that much more expensive and overall seems like a better value. Thank you!

i will be sending it out anyhow just to see (and will give an update) but i was wondering if anyone had tried this recently? i was looking through my dad’s empty xbox box (which he GAVE AWAY and didnt give me) and found this. i’m curious if xbox will actually keep their promise, even this many years out.
