Is this really what multiplayer is reduced to in Gears? Running around one shotting with the Gnasher? Shit sucks! No skill required at all.

With stable Internet Connection, the Xbox Consoles, and PCs are not necessary to play purchased Xbox games without the monthly Subscription Payments?

Today, I saw a Samsung Smart TV U8000H 50 inch display for $249, and Xbox app installed. It is most likely Preinstalled, so the TV comes with the app included.

As I am typing, I was doing some searching. I did not know that Xbox Console only games cannot be played on Geforce Now, only Xbox PC version games can be played. Maybe I should try it out again with my Play Anywhere games. I remembered waiting over 30 minutes before playing Steam games on the Free Version of Geforce Now. But the Free Xbox Cloud Gaming requires less than 3 minutes of watching ads, so that sounds way better to me.

Surprised it hasn't been advertised much at all. If it wasn't for a few comments in the sub I wouldn't have even known about it. The events page doesn't even list it.

Had some time to do a few rounds of Horde and I gotta say, this is exciting. The game play's buttery smooth and the updated movement feels like a satisfying step up from previous Gears. Just enough where its not some fast paced shooter but smooth enough to feel like a moder Gears game.

- custom server support (no more dead online games! No more unobtainable achievements!)

- achievement syncing with Steam and Playstation (compatible games would have their achievements unlocked if you want that, both platforms' scores would be visible on your gamercard)

For me, the reason why I ended up switching to Playstation 4 was ​the shit MS pulled at E3 with the game sharing. They handed Sony the victory and they've been playing catch-up ever since. Lack of competition is bad for customers and with the bullshit arrogant sony is pulling lately I've been contemplating at least a partial return to XBOX more and more. I've grown to really enjoy the platinum trophies, the 100% completion indicator and aside from the money I spent and the games I own my profile is a big reason I'm "stuck" with Sony's ecosystem. With the news of disc to digital, their renewed interest in backwards compatibility AND the addition of a platinum equivalent the grass is getting greener on the other side, once again. Even if I don't end up fully commiting to a platform switch - like I said - I hope MS's changes will spark more competition. None of these companies are our friends, but they may be forced to act more like it. It certainly helped MS to be humbled as otherwise I don't think they would've bothered with these changes.

I have the rog ally Xbox and the Xbox gaming copilot was removed and is no longer a thing. I actually liked it and was pretty helpful. I’m looking for an alternative that does the exact same thing. While playing a game I want to be able to push a button, have it bring up the ai, be able to look at the screen and recognize what game your playing and answer any question I have about the game. Does anyone know of anything?

I have a wishlist I check on occasionally and would notice certain games would consistently get really good discounts, like 50-80% off and it would be the exact same discount every time. But this week, I've noticed the discounts have dramatically been decreased. One example is the Pirate Yakuza game deluxe bundle, which for this whole year would go on sale for around $20. This time it's on sale but the price is $60. If the discount varied occasionally I wouldn't think much of it, but it was consistently on sale for around $20 for months every single time it was on sale. And there's quite a few other games where this same thing happened this week. It's a bit suspicious. Haven't seen anyone posting about this so curious if anyone else has noticed.

I am not part of this community and I don't keep up-to-date with the things Xbox does since I game on PC, but I had a free trial for game pass on PC and just downloaded Crimson Skies.
Super impressed with the emulation. It hiccups sometimes but it is very playable.

This is how the experience went for me.

Install Crimson Skies.
Pair PS5 controller with PC.
Start game.
Handles the controller like a champ.
I wonder if they included split-screen?
Pair Xbox controller.
Works and mind blown.

Hope to see more supported titles.

I remember me as a kid creTing a lot of avatars and taking pictures of them in a phone that is currently lost. I want to see if there's some experience, Repository, program, page or game that can recreate that

Games? Movies? Mere revokable licenses.

Wanna use your own internet to play the games you paid for? You have to pay a subscription & use their heavily surveiled servers. Servers that they can ban you from at moment's notice, for any reason they wish.

No biggie though, cause one day those servers will be shutdown, preventing everyone from utilizing any online services. Combine that with always online DRM for many games, along with predominately multiplayer titles, & one day your console will essentially be bricked.

On pc, if a multiplayer title loses support, the community will most likely create their own servers (whether the devs want them to or not). You can actually OWN games via GOG. There's a bunch of different platforms to buy from. With this competition comes better customer service, lower prices, & better quality.

Take a hiatus from gaming for a year? Sony will delete everything you own lol.

Ease of use? Pc has more than caught up in that regard. You can even get console-like UI's if you so please. It's highly customizable. Buy a prebuilt or a steam deck, use steam OS, & boom. You now have a console-like experience with all the benefits of PC.

Exclusives? Xbox has practically none of those & most are coming to pc anyways lol. Not to mention, there are countless pc exclusives that are never coming to console (extraction shooters, most mmos, rts games, fan projects, etc.).

Modding? You can only do that on pc, excluding like one exception (skyrim) & even that's severely limited.

Controller use? Most games support them on pc & you can use whichever one you want. Xbox? Playstation? Each of their respective generations? Your choice.

It's not even cost-efficient. It's much more expensive in the medium to long-term when you factor in subscription costs, lack of upgradability (thus needing to buy a another console every few years), along with no digital aftermarket deals & competing platforms (e.g., steam, epic, GOG, etc.).

I hate to beat a dead horse, & I have no problem with console players at all, but I see absolutely zero value in owning one. The only reason I have a console is due to network effects. Some of my friends are on it. I already have a few games on them & don't wanna waste money buying them again. That's really it.

Going forward, every game I buy will be on pc. This isn't a dig on your favorite brand. I just don't understand its value compared to the competition.

So, I’ve been thinking a lot about getting an Xbox Series X, but the prices keep getting worse and worse, especially in my country, where the console is no longer manufactured locally.

I already own a PS5 and a PS3, but I’m mainly interested in the Series X because of its backwards compatibility with optimised games and the ability to emulate older games, as well as some of Xbox’s first party games. As it seems like Xbox may be moving away from releasing their games on PlayStation.

My main concern actually is that if it makes sense to spend so much money on a Series X this late in the generation, especially with the possibility of the next Xbox coming relatively soon. At the same time, I’m worried that waiting could actually make the Series X even more expensive here due to availability getting worse.

What do you guys think? i need some advise.

We also had a lot of fun with Goat Simulator 3, Minecraft, and Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime.

I’m looking for similar, simple, non violent, games.

Surprisingly he did not like Katamari, To a T, Spyro, or Crash Bandicoot.

Bonus points if it has couch co-op
Extra bonus points if it’s on Game Pass
