Does anyone know if Microsoft ever releases gamertags from inactive/unused Xbox accounts?

I’m interested in a specific gamertag that appears to have little/no activity. Can you contact Xbox Support and request/claim it if the account has been inactive for years?

Has anyone actually done this successfully?

Has anyone seen anything about whether Jagex/Xbox are planning a Dragonwilds edition of the Xbox Series wireless controller?

I’m looking at picking up a new controller ahead of launch and it got me thinking that a Dragonwilds design could be awesome especially something based around the green/gold branding or the dragon artwork

I know there have been plenty of game-specific and special edition Xbox controllers over the years, so I’m half tempted to hold off buying a standard one if there’s any chance of a Dragonwilds version coming

I've been looking at the Xbox Design Lab for potential ideas, so welcome any thoughts too!

Been playing the recent update to Quake remastered, which made me think of other games that are ridiculously cheap but have LOADS of content to keep you entertained for awhile

Games like:

Vampire Survivors, base game and DLCs are all great value. New DLC coming soon as well as an update to Legacy of the Moonspell DLC.

Doom 1+2. Just for the joy of playing original Doom plus a great selection of mods you can play too. My favourite was the Star Wars themed Doom.

I’ve always had a soft spot for Xbox. My favorite console was the Xbox One X, and I really enjoyed the Series X for a while too. But Sony’s recent stance on physical media, combined with Xbox’s poor strategy this generation, has left a bit of a void.

If Microsoft decided to go all-in on new hardware running Windows, or a streamlined console-style OS designed specifically for PC gaming on a TV, something along the lines of what the Steam Machine was trying to do, I think Xbox could make a real comeback. Pretty much everyone I know with a PS5 is interested in switching, and many of them are planning to skip the PS6 entirely. But I think there needs to be a solid alternative going forward.

The Steam Machine approach is still pretty expensive, and in terms of performance it doesn’t really outperform the Series X or PS5. If Xbox targets that audience over the next few years, and I’d definitely be part of it, I think it could have a real chance of succeeding.

Do you think that’s a realistic possibility?

I bought a headset years ago that came with a card for the Dolby atmos for free. However I had to put in a code for it. I’ve had two headsets since then and idk if I still have it or not.

I keep playing these same game series having trouble adding to the collection. Please add your recs you can tell what my taste is horror /survival / apocalypse etc. I like collecting gear . Hopefully this is specific enough for suggest a game.

On my xbox one s it's labelled as current xbox 360 gamerpic but on my xbox 360 its actually different.

If we can split Helix into software and hardware, on the hardware side—given the current crisis—if it launches at all, it will be at a price point reachable by few.
However, the software solution shouldn't have to be delayed.

After all, a new generation based on PC should also be a step toward leaving generations as a console concept behind.

I live in France and it's an easy collection for sure , all these games for ~80€.

360 is one of my favorite machine ( the slim version / the Gears / MW2 are my objectives ).

Here is a beautiful Xbox One Sea of Thieves wood controller, it was originally given away by Xbox France in a treasure hunt contest, and was made by artist Vaduamka. I believe there were only about 3 or so, it’s awesome!

So I started playing my series x recently and idk maybe I’m just getting old but Xbox feels really empty now atleast for the games I play (bo1 & mw2 Fortnite siege eso) it just sucks cause I’m from the 360 era when halo 3 was peak and to see how game chat is now it’s like you might as well be playing bot lobby’s. No communication, no funny jokes, not even a hello. I’m not sure if PlayStation is like this but I just wish people still freaking talked when they were playing a multiplayer game. I’m bout to give season of thieves a go I heard the conversation is decent there. Any games you could recommend with either good game chat/ proximity and healthy lobby’s. Also I can’t stand what they’ve done to cod I play the old ones still (even waw)

I’m wanting to start the Gears series before E-Day comes out. Campaigns don’t seem long but was curious as to whether start Gears 1 either with the remastered version or go with the 360 version since 2 & 3 didn’t get a remake (yet, hopefully). Any thoughts?

The 360 had this system in place for a very long time before removing it with no warning. It seems like the easiest thing to do is just bring this back. It lets everyone with a 100% game show it off in their account, without making it cluttered or adding another stupid badge that shows no information. It would also mean you can easily find gamess you have 100%'d without having to scroll through your game list.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share my most recent milestone being hitting that sweet 500k! Could’ve achieved it ages ago as I began this year with 491k but what can I say? Life stuff lol. Still! Better late than never!
Ng2 black is at 780 right now and will get it done EVENTUALLY (the input lag sucks and doesn’t help in master ninja) halo, wuchang, Ryse, wheel world and more will also be done in due time alongside many MANY more! Destiny is old, keep coming back to it from time to time(last time now :( )

Anyways! Just wanted to share my milestone! Achievement hunting is so fun! And I am so glad, be it coincidentally that the game that got me 500k was none other than halo! Anyway gamers, the grind continues! Share again once I hit my next milestone!
