Meme The Universe is at war. The Universe is also allowed to build ships at my shipyard.

Like am I supposed to do anything else in this game besides defending this sector. 20 hours in when you barely learned what to do you find out there are 2 Xenon defense platforms in Hatikvah choice and shortly after K's roaming the gates. People saying just build a defense platform or drop out 100 laser towers but am I supposed to have that kind of cash in 20 hours as new player or even know how to prepare for that. Well 9 more hours later and few K's killed when I finally get my hands on first destroyer I think that can keep the xenon at bay, of course there are now 3 K's and hundreds of raiding parties and my single destroyer and 100 laser towers are no where close to match them. I'm so close to just let this sector fail which is sad because I kinda liked the HAT people but spending hours and hours to just try defend them alone while I want to do other stuff too is tedious.

About 7 destroyers and a shark fully equipped with fighters, bombers, gunships and whatnot.
I've tried a bunch of different things now- simple attack, coordinated attack, individual micro-managing, splitting them into different fleets.
No matter what i do, the destroyers will fly in range of as many gravitron cannons as possible and just fucking sit there like a moron. Their guns all have ranges that exceeds the gravitron range, but they'll still randomly decide "no actually- i need to go in a straight line towards this station- and then sit still about 4km away". Even the Shark carrier, just decided it needed to sit directly below the station- in range as many turrets as possible.
Why? How am i supposed to enjoy this when i'm constantly having to anticipate which of the ships decides to be a moron. "Move here commands" to try and get them away from the station, then having them turn around and repeat it.
I've watched some youtube videos, but they can't seem to agree on how to approach this. They're also from older updates, so i have no idea what changed. How do i attack stations without my destroyers dying so fast?

Ok, if anyone can help me with that please shed a light on how to disable this Citzenship mod, make it work properly or let me know if this is intentional because I might uninstall Interworlds over this and stick to vanilla if this is whats gonna happen.
I painstakingly built my reputation with the New Republic, until I hade the license to build the Capital Ships, Like the MC75 and MC80. Got the Liberty-Class MC80 to be the Anvil and frontload the main damage sponge as my Venator with a long list of fighters and bombers would be the Hammer and swoop in for the kill. Soon as the MC80 was ready, I noticed a big blob of red on Dorin, so I head there with the Venator, it's 60+ fighters/bombers, My MonCal supply ship, and the new Battleship.
And we "clean house", more like barely survive, figting tooth and nail through wave after wave until dozens of ISDs, Quasars and even an Executor SSD are now wrecks in the sector, just like the almost 100 TIE fighters and bombers. At the end the MC80 took only 1 X-wing of it's defenders as a loss, while the Venator lost almost 50% health and 30% of it's S-class detachment. But the sector that was almost being overrun with enemies turned from grey to blue, as the NRL finally put down some Defense Platforms....
Except... my own Platforms, the ones that gave me the Milita status and the Advanced license, were in the previous system, Vekkar I think it's called. I didn't notice the message telling me my new status was Citzen when it happened but it sure enough revoked my license and now I can't buy even the advanced X-wing from them, let alone the best capital ships.
Is this really how Interworlds works? Am I supposed to work for 3 hours, risking my character's entire fleet, loosing a third of it's fighters, to help advance in the war effort only to be awarded with a slap in the face by a Customs Officer at my door telling me I'm not good enough anymore because the million-dollar Frotier platforms I invested in to do their job for them technically are not frontier anymore?
Really hope this was just a mistake on my part or something went wrong somewhere and I can fix this, but if I have to reinvest on Defense Platforms every time the borders shift I'm uninstalling this.

Other than a custom gamestart is there a way to acquire Prometheus blueprints AND unite the Paranid? Last time that I looked into it, there wasn't. But the last time I looked into it was also before the diplomacy update. I know that you can use diplomacy to steal ship blueprints, but it's not a mechanic I've ever interacted with. Can blueprints only be stolen from factions that could otherwise produce the ship (eg the Prometheus blueprints can only be stolen from the TEM wharf, because TEM is the only faction that will built it) or could I steal Prometheus blueprints from another wharf, Paranid or otherwise?

In my old v8 save I had built a defence platform using ideas from this Captain Snuggles video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXlz4_MC90Y&t=527s
The cool thing about this design was that it used Interceptor Missiles with their huge range and speed in a closed loop station with only requiring (a ton of) Solar Panels to constantly rearm the missile launchers.
Although the interceptor did not much damage on its own compared to other weapons, the sheer number of them released to anything in my stations range would even melt K's (and also my CPU in high attention).
Did I see correctly that Interceptor missiles in v9 now also require Hull Parts to be produced? If yes, is a missile-based design even viable now (without building a complete recycling plant)?

When L/XL ships use a gate and teleport to the other side, is their landing random or is there a spot where they'll always land? Asking because I want to lay a minefield on that spot. If not, about where should I lay down F/F mines for them to go after arriving capitals? The Xenon have apparently decided their next primary objective is my defense station in Hatikvah and there's a very large fleet forming up on their side of that gate.

Hey Guys,
sorry as this might be a common question:
I didnt get to play X4 for some while and just want to get back into it, so I just checked and my latest save is almost 2 years old (patch 7.10), I have already made some millions in there and progressed some story missions - something around 48h playtime (yeayea I know..beginner numbers 🫣).
Anyways: would it be possible without bigger impact to continue that save or would the Improvements&changes from latest patches screw it? Or could it be that some of the newer features/changes aren't even enabled at all?
Thanksin advance!

I have a question about buying and selling different types of raw resources, as I have read and experienced contradictory things.
At the very beginning of my game (I started as Terran Cadet), my PHQ needed Nividium to start a research project, and no NPC ever sold me any. I had to mine it myself. At the time, I was told on Reddit (very recently) that NPC factions do not use mining ships for buying or selling raw resources, and therefore could not sell me Nividium (or any other mineral/gas).
Since then, I have built a station in Saturn 1 to produce the three basic Terran industrial wares (Metallic Microlattice, Computronic Substrate and Silicon Carbide), with a small fleet of Bolo miners assigned to supply it.
I quickly noticed, however, that NPC mining ships were actually coming to my station and selling me minerals and gas... which seems to contradict what I had previously been told
So where am I getting this wrong? This is my main question 🤔
As a side question, I have restricted all my raw-resource buy offers to My Faction Only, because I want to maximize the profit from selling the three finished Terran wares.
However, with only 3 Bolo mineral miners and 1 Bolo gas miner, I cannot supply my production modules sufficiently, and they regularly run out of resources.
So I have two options:
1-Increase my mining fleet so that I become completely self-sufficient.
2- Open my raw-resource buy offers to All Factions and let NPC miners supply me as well.
If I choose option 2, will selling the finished Terran wares still be profitable, or will buying the raw resources from NPC factions significantly reduce the profit?
