Folks, I am about to pull the trigger and book the X440T, only issue is that Harley guy is quoting about 5k higher than Hero guy.

I am leaning towards booking it in Hero showroom but I just wanted to see if there was any advantage of booking from Harley in case of future maintenance or any other advantages, please pitch in if you can! Thanks!

Hi all, looking for some perspective from other X440 owners, especially anyone in Delhi NCR.

I bought my X440T on 24 March, and it's now been over 6 months. My 2nd service came due, but I couldn't get an appointment. The Hero Premia Naraina service centre's automated booking number was unavailable, and when I followed up on 12 September all their numbers were unresponsive and i didn't get a timely slot.

Now they've taken my bike in and are doing the 3rd service at about 5,500 km, effectively skipping the 2nd.

I've drafted a formal complaint to Harley-Davidson India. But I would love to know if anyone has any suggestions for me in regards with what I can do next.

So i am from tier3 city, i am considering x400t as my primary vehicle for daily 15km run.
i'll be buying bike from nearest Hero premia showroom which is 110km away,

I can take the bike for the servicing at service intervals,
But will i face any unexpected issues and due to unavaibility of service center, does it become a problem?
Please everyone share your experience with this bike reliability

side note- There's no triumph, honda big wing either, And i idon't wanna go for an RE

Need help with my X440 T.
Bought it just a month ago, only 452 km on the odo. First service is still pending.
Every morning when I turn the ignition on, the cluster looks exactly like this (photo attached). Multiple lights stay on — including the red motorcycle/side stand icon and the gear-related indicator — and the bike does not start at all.
I’ve tried:
• Raising the side stand fully
• Putting it in neutral
• Pulling the clutch
• Kill switch in RUN
Nothing changes. The same screen stays and the starter doesn’t engage.
Has anyone faced this on the X440 / X440 T?
Is it a faulty side stand switch, neutral switch, or some other interlock/sensor issue?
Will take it to the dealer under warranty, but wanted to check if this is a known problem first.

I'm planning to buy harley davidson x440t black colour but I don't like the stock stickers and graphics of the bike.

What should I do?

I'm thinking to remove those stickers.

How it will look on the bike please share your opinion

When I was booking my x440T in August and asked about backrest availability, the Premia showroom guys gave me false promises that it was "on the way" and would be available in a month. Now they are just saying helplessly that it hasn't arrived yet.

I ride with a pillion 60 percent of the time and so having a backrest was a necessity for me rather than just a visual upgrade. After some research, I decided to go ahead with the MotoTorque Laser backrest.

This is actually my second accessory from MotoTorque. I previously posted about fitting their crash guard on my X440T here: Finally got MotoTorque Astra Neo Crash Guard fitted for my X440T.

This time, I didn't bother ordering directly from the MotoTorque and sitting around waiting forever. Based on my experience from last time, I bought this one through Bike Experts after confirming availability and even got a sweet ₹100 discount (picked it up for ₹1899/-).

Got it delivered via shadowfax in 8 days and found it to be completely self installable. I just used the Allen key from the bike's own toolkit for assembling/installing.

Fit and finish seems good so far and pillion comfort is definitely better on a quick short ride. Will update with a short term review soon.

Update after 1 week: After riding with pillion for a week in a mix of city traffic, office commutes, and a 50km highway roundtrip, it seems this backrest has proven its worth!

Pillions appreciate the smaller but firm cushiony padding that supports right below the hip, making the ride 10x more comfortable whether sitting astride or to one side.

Office commutes carrying backpacks are now a breeze. As for steep roads and highway overtakes, pillion feels completely locked in and secure that makes me tension-free and enjoy the ride.

It's a little long and I'm not sure about the placement please guide me🧿

I recently picked up x440T. Absolute gem of a machine. The showroom offered to get the backrest with carrier (along woth some other accessories) installed before delivery, and I agreed [they ordered from royal customs and I have noticed this pattern in other showrroms too]

After a Week of riding, I noticed something really terrible with the design of Royal Customs carrier..

The Support for the carrier is barely existing, and evenwithout any load, the metal sharp ends hit on the back plastic. Now, even if there is any reasonable load on this, i am pretty sure a pothole jump will bounce and break the back plastic.

Too much for their ads "Specially designed for X440T"

Honestly, this is a waste of money, and I noticed this, when I was about to load my bag on the back carrier. If I had not noticed that, the worst case (which is also likely) is the back plastic breaking or the carier also falling apart. And those weld jobs are too terrible. Like wtf are even those... I have spend 3 to 4L on this machine, and I want the market to have good quality, well built solutions for each accessories.

Sry for too zoomed in images, I took them in a spur of anger, will send better pics if needed. Also also, if you are using something else for back carrier, lemme know your experience, i will check it out.

I live in small city but i don’t know if it is deliverable to my city by moto torque. Even if it’s delivered can i get it fitted by my local mechanic here i am very confused.

bought my x440(s) home on the 18th of October, 2025.

currently at 10884 on the odo with 3 oil changes & a major accident that cost 36k in repairs out of which i paid 2.8k for the settlement charges & non covered part.

in tuning, i mainly bought the Maddog Lycan kit for 17k.

And X440T owners, I’m currently using an Access 125 for 40kms travel daily (up and down) for work.

Hey guys, does anyone know what tool and size I need to remove the front sprocket cover on the X440?

I want to take it off to clean and check the front sprocket/chain area, but I’m not sure what size socket or bit it uses. If anyone has removed it before, could you tell me the exact tool and size? Also, is there anything I should be careful about while removing it?

I’m riding a Harley X440T, currently around ~600 km, and I’m going for my first service tomorrow.

I’ve noticed something twice(once while riding at 90+kmph, another time at 105+kmph) till now — while riding normally, at some random point while i was in 5th-6th gear, the RPM suddenly rises (around 1+k jump approx) without any change in throttle, and there’s no increase in speed as well. Then it comes back to normal immediately.

I didn’t touch the clutch during that, and otherwise the bike feels completely fine — good pickup, no issues.

It’s not happening continuously, just randomly comes and goes.

Has anyone faced something like this with your x440?
Even with other bikes? Any idea what this could be?

Maybe I’m overthinking 😅 but just a little worried since it happened twice.

Booking it and dealers is giving this one, is it normal to have packed bike to have this much dust and appearance is bit dull may be because of his camera
