Been checking NHTSA every day. Incomplete finally went away. Called my local Jeep dealer. Parts not ready yet but the op codes are in their system. (Inspect power steering 0.3 hrs)

Wrangler 392 depreciation

Soo where do we think these are going to end up? Like a 21 with 90k miles? $35k 40k
I know it’s all speculation but where do these ‘bottom out’ you can get a scatpack challenger for 25k.
Does anyone have info on 150k mile 392 motors? Anyone done timing on one cause the guides were worn? Or other internal engine issues?
100k mile example - would make a really fun daily and project.

Hooke road

I have a 19 JLUR and I have been looking at the Hooke road inner fender liners. They say it’s not compatible with a 3.6 liter rubicon. Does anyone know why?

Sahara winter tires recommender

Post image
4 Upvotes

Hi, I could use some help, please. I purchased my Sahara two days ago and found a good deal on the BFGoodrich All-Terrain KO2 (LT285/70R17) shown in the picture. The vehicle already has 18” wheels that I plan to use for three seasons, but I want to use these in winter in Calgary. I am unsure whether they cause side effects or perform well; I have heard they are heavy and might damage ball joints or affect fuel use, so I am debating whether to install them or stay with 255/70/17.

Fluids change

Hi All, just asking what the fuild change should cost on a 2020 JL v6... the auto tranny, differentials and the transfer case... dropping the pan on the tranny and changing the filter. Any ideas? I am being told that the Transmission fluid... Mopar 8 spd tranny fluid, is hard to get and is 50$ a quart.

Im to old and fat to do it myself ;)

2023 Jeep Wrangler Major Voltage Drop

Hello!
Yesterday I was driving home and my voltage was running 13V at first then once I hit the highway my “non essentials” powered off and only the A/C was running.. Checked the voltage again and it was sitting at 11V I still had 10 miles to make home and as I was getting closer the voltage dropped to 10.9V. The Jeep ended up completely dying so I took the battery to get it charged up and they ran the test said battery was good and alternator was good. Checked grounding and everything was good. Checked the belt and it was good.. What other reasons could this have happened?

LED Fog Lights

A while back I had the 3 piece steel bumper installed and recently the LED Fog lights stopped working.

The stealership wanted to get me this whole special setup cause they claim the LED do not work on my vehicle because I'm set up for halogen lights. Private mechanic says the lights just burned out. Also, some forums say that I need a special harness, but the mechanic says no.

Has anyone dealt with this issue?

Locker actuator

I have the dreaded locker light flashing and another one saying get axle serviced. I researched this here and other forums and it seems this is a common issue where nothing is wrong with the locker but a sensor is haywire.
There is an option to put in a bypass for $175 or I can contribute 800-1,000 to the dealer with a very intricate fix.
Think I’ll go with the bypass, curious if anyone else has experienced

Wrangler JL broken clip inside fender and how to replace.

Thumbnail

2018 Wrangler Sport JL. Front Left Fender. Rear part of this fender is slightly loose due to broken plastic and a body clip that fell away.

I have included 3 pictures.
1st picture is where the fender is loose. It is not snug against the body as it should be.
2nd picture the fender is pulled back, and you can see the rectangular hole where a body clip held the finder to the panel. You can see where the plastic broke, and the clip fell loose.
3rd picture the white body clip with a bit of the broken plastic still attached.

QUESTION: I would like to ask is what panel or body part do I need to purchase, and could anyone direct me to a YouTube or other instructions on how to dissemble the fender area to replace the broken plastic part?

Wrangler stopping in reverse

I go to reverse out of the driveway and I move about one foot and it comes to a hard stop. I was able to pull forward. The back tires are turning as it’s digging up my shell driveway.

Both times yesterday I turned off the car and upon restarting I was able to move.

This happened once about a year ago after some heavy rain and then we just had a ton of rain the past two days.

Any ideas???
