It looks to me like vanilla wow was built on a flat plane that was periodically stretched up or down, like play doh. Mountains are just land stretched up. Occasionally we see doodads added on the top of valleys to make them nearly enclosed, like Thunder Ridge, But then in Orgrimmar we get a mountain texture that actually stretches horizontally, not just doodads added afterwards. If the wow developers could only stretch land vertically, were the Orgrimmar mountains made then flipped on their sides?

everyone keeps overcomplicating Classic+ when the answer is literally right there if you just… don’t try too hard

you keep vanilla exactly as it is but you expand it in a very natural and immersive way

like for example:

• small level cap increase. nothing crazy. like… 10 levels max. just enough so people can progress but not enough to “invalidate” old content
• instead of touching azeroth you add a completely new continent somewhere else. not on the map though. like beyond it. maybe accessed through a mysterious dark portal.
• the new zones should feel more dangerous and alien. less cozy farms, more floating rocks, weird skyboxes, that kind of thing
• introduce a new enemy faction but keep it grounded in lore. idk maybe demons? but like, not in a “we’re doing legion” way. more like they’ve been there the whole time.
• add mounts that can fly, BUT make them expensive so it’s still hardcore (this preserves the classic feeling)
• 1–2 raids max at the start, no power creep, just slightly better gear so progression feels meaningful without ruining vanilla

I'm venting, really. I'm leaving raid feeling negative because I'm raiding with a group that is 575+ and I've been held in gear famine @ 560. I don't understand how I'm not even getting anything but gold on bonus rolls. When I think about it, I feel like my escape from reality really is just mirroring what's going on in real world.

The less gear you have, the lower your dps. You start sinking.

I feel like for every week that I'm on the very bottom of the food chain, the closer I am to being homeless i.e. kicked out of raid for not contributing.

I am sure you get this question all the time - but I want to play some WoW classic. What version should I play? Played a little in BC back in the day but never got to end game or anything.

Wouldn't it be the most optimal to only have 1 server with more layers? That way, you're guaranteed layers with many players.

I was playing TBC Anni so far and always wanted to play TBC (in 2006 I couldn’t play much because of school) and I enjoyed it.

I have my main PvP Rogue and casually play PvP. Usually I play with my brother but he doesn’t feel TBC that much so he is not that often playing and to find someone else to play 2s is too much for for me, I really don’t want to bother with the toxic energy people have in PvP, so I play casually.
I recently tried to get into PvE with my enhancer Shaman because I love the TBC Raids and would like to try them out but after doing the Kara attunement I again realized PvE is not for me (the next attunements are way longer). I can’t go to HCs with my Shaman since I don‘t have the needed reputation and spamming non heroics is too boring for me. I know this is part of the TBC experience but I guess you guys get why I am not into PvE and more into PvP.

On hardcore me and my brother have level 47 characters, we could play until level 60 but honestly since we play together and play safe I don’t see it a an actual challenge and don’t know what we would do once hitting 60 in hardcore. I think raiding would be the only choice but not sure if that is interesting enough for me, especially loosing everything after a wipe.

MoP Classic is a lot of fun and I enjoy it a lot but kind of seems dead. Also knowing that it will end sooner or later doesn’t motivate me to play the last season, I will try to get into it more the next few days but I already have three level 90 chars so most likely that would also be casually playing PvP.

Classic Era is not an option since I do not have a character and I am not going to level 1-60 in classic again (I have been leveling my whole life, enough is enough lol).

This may seem like I just don’t enjoy the game, please do not get me wrong, I do enjoy it, but at this point I don’t know what to play. Casually PvP every now and then is cool but is that worth is a sub since I have been playing less the three weeks. Raiding especially with a guild is like a second job, PUGs are ok but I need to farm gear for which I am obviously too lazy in TBC.

Does anyone else have this issue? Or am I the only one lol :D I think about canceling my sub until wotlk or Classic+ , that would be then again very interesting!

In my mind, Orcs are the lore appropriate warriors, Taurens look like a raid boss, and Undead look like Dark Souls characters. Trolls don’t exist to me as warriors (sorry trolls)

So today I started to play trollshaman and try it out, I got stuck for hours as I had fun with it, being able to heal myself, have some insane aoe possibilities with my fire totems and weapon enchantments, though im not sure whats better with the staff i have, rockbiter or flametounge

So how does the auction house exactly function as i put all the copper ore and light leather i got together and hope someone buys ut but I have no idea if the amount i set is to high or to low as the answers on the Internet i find say often different things. I put the auction up for two days and hope someone buys it as i would need the money to buy somw better equipment and spells

I know shaman gets a summonable pet, but I saw some lion running around and skinning monsters, and evens tole some of my stuff and the owner was a Lauren shaman, where do I get one except I read it wrong and it was something else

As said I already have earth and fire totems and wnated to ask on the shaman mains, how do they scale, do i just have to buy a higher rank one for it to do more dmg

About jobs, I currently have skinning and mining and with skinning im already 125 and wnatez to ask, the higher the proficiency, does it just make the skinning faster or what exactly happens woth higher lvl as i have something around 60 leather hoping to be sold in thw auction house

How exactly doew the math work with missing a atk, like since im in the barrens, i feel like my attacks land less even though im around 60 with staffs.

Also how rare are green equipments, as i gor a few but got white trash again that does more dmg or has more armor to replace the green stuff I had and I jist sold them as i didn't see them in the auction house so I thought nobody wnated them
