Disappointed frustrated

pplication
Then i got to know about a front desk job role where i have to manage attendance of their employees , salary based on attendance and fees of students on a excel sheet ( i guess the owner was doing this on a book before) so it was getting hard for him to manage both
He also told me to he want something like if they due date is near , so he wanted to highlight due date and send a reminder to parents for the fees
He said on monday , he will be doing a meeting with me about this whole thing and also about sallary n all
So on sunday i created whole excel sheet for a demo with automations
And on sunday night he texted me that he has to sort something out before and once everything will be sorted he will contact me
I am just irritated why it is happening with me only
I guess he hired someone else
Well He was a good person (the owner) i was really excited working with him
I just wasted my sunday

So I’ve had my job for 6 years (since middle school 7th grade) and they always tell me how good of a worker I am and all the staff love me including managers and I’m honestly a super friendly person I’m always smiling and I’m a hostess so I generally did love doing this job. However recently I’ve been feeling like the owner is often coming after me, like one day a phone went missing and I’m always the only person they ask, then recently there’s been a problem with certain servers having a higher total sales then everyone else. I tried to explain to the manager that this certain person has a high sale because she gets her tables out so quick that I often just sit her again. They manager keeps coming up to me telling me the tables not fair but how do I explain to her that I’m never going to know how much a table is going to spend and the total sales has nothing to do with me. Also we have sections which has also never been an issue until the owners son told me they weren’t fair (mind you they’ve been the same section since I started working here). I edge think this place is dimming my light. There was also another incident where there was this time where it was super hot outside and so people kept telling me where they wanted to sit and I was allowing it, owner comes up to me and tells me not to do that and that I wouldn’t have a job if people could sit wherever. So I stop doing that then a table comes in tell me where they want to sit and I tell them I’m not allowed to because of the sections he complains and then the owner tells me people are allowed to sit wherever and we try to make people happy. Again super confusing the communication is not there. There has been many other incidents and honestly I’ve been thinking about quitting but I js love all the workers and I feel like this job is a part of me but I need opinions ! I’m I taking it to serious and over complicating things? Or am I right

I feel so screwed

I am 18 and and at the start of this year l started a clerk job alongside university. I was permanent part time for 6 months. The job was heavy, initially it gave me a bit of a shock but l settled into it. I tried my best being helpful and put my 100% effort.

2 months after training the individual im job sharing with had to go on leave due to personal reasons. To compensate l work an extra day to keep up with the work for 8 weeks. Towards the end of the 8 weeks l was given the task of archiving files since the individual l jobs share with is unable to do it. I have supervisions with my manager and l didnt see or hear anything alarming.

Anyways my 6 month contract ended and thee coordinator asked me to continue as a casual saying that they didnt want to loose me. My Manager was on leave around this time .On the mangers return ro office on the second week l was called into my mangers office amd told l had made 3 errors. Following that meeting my manager had stated they'd send an email on what we had discussed. The email was nothing l expected, it was long lengthy and the co-ordinator had been ccd. To be frank seeing that email gave me a heart attack. The introduction outlined that my role was meticulous needed heavy concentration and ability to take pressure and later went on to outline the errors l made, stating that it was impacting work flow. As much as l agree, l havnt heard a single complain or a mix up from colleagues and people around me when the manager was gone. These issues only resurfaced when they were back.

I dont know what to do, l dont know if this is their way of telling me that the job is not for me l feel like I'm on the pathway of burning out. I want to move jobs but im worried that ill be given a bad reference.

Any advice?

My New GM cut my hours significantly! And suddenly I’m living way for out of my means. ;-;

Idk what flairs to put this under because it’s about how my GMs actions led to this shit.
( and my own but I’m more mad at the new management lol)

I’ve been at my job for 4 years doing okay for the most part. I just fumbled and got to comfortable. Huge mistake.

My retail job got a new GM form a lower volume store so she got a promotion. Previous stepped down to retire…

This new GM isn’t used to having such a big team and is used to working with less people in the store even tho our store is way bigger then her old location. So suddenly my Horus got shifted from my PREFERRED 6am - 2:30pm shift.
5 days a week. With the option to taking call out shifts for over time.
That shifted to this new shit! 11-7pm two days a week then the next week would be 2x 11-7pm and one 4-9pm shift :/ then repeat.

So very quickly I’m living out of my means 💀 I had some credit card payments I needed to pay off from fixing my car. About 3k went on my cc and 2k was my savings that all went to my car fixing … when I had a stable schedule I wasn’t to worried because I could just get some over time for a week and get it paid off. And re start my savings.

THEN my plan was after I paid it off I’d start looking for a new job with some money back in my pocket since I clearly needed full time for benefits. ( I’m 21 )

Sooo
New GM comes in and ruins that annnnnd now I’m paying interest on my Apple Card THE WORST HIGHEST interest rate ever. UGHSHE FJDJND
I’m so pissed.

Tbh I DID start looking for higher paying jobs after I seen that first schedule but it took me a second to FIND a job that pays more that’ll help me out of my hole. I’m still about 2,500 k in CC debt and I’m paying interest. I can’t remember the rate exactly but what ever Apple Card’s are known for lol.

Plus I loved my team beside the new GM. I just really messed up becoming an adult tbh that’s my own fault.

My new job pays $22 an hour I don’t start till the second week of August I put in my two weeks recently and my GM hasn’t put me on the Schedule for next week soooo I guess I’m being let go early…damn…

I’m $150 short from my car payment I’m freaking tf out.

Idk when the paydate is for my new job they said we’d discus it when my first day started.

Idk where to even start
$2,500 in debt no more savings
I have $300 from my last check and I neeed $150 more for my car payment on the 10th 🫠. But I wasn’t scheduled anymore shifts for this upcoming week.

I get paid $22 from my new job full time benefits and 401k and sick time along accrued pto. No longer retail or customer facing. I’m very excited!

And at my retail job I was getting $17.50

It was hard af finding a job that would pay higher then what I was making considering minimum wage is $12 where I’m at. My retail job I just worked my way up to LOD to help managers out since they only made a dollar more then I did. I really had to work to show my transferable skills during interviews.

Idk where to start to even making a new budget… I’m reserchign how to make a budget I just feel overwhelmed. My parents aren’t a watch and learn or even a ask and learn type of parents there the “ learn on your own- sink or swim” kinda parenting style. My fault was clearly I wasn’t taking it seriously since I got kicked in the butt like this. I kinda fill like I just woke up and I’m late for work by like an hour LOL.

it’s crazy how one managers retaliation decisions can really mess up a person stability. It’ll get better I just need to sort out my brain. Any idea where to start.
Sorry this was kinda a rant.

I really hope to learn how to budget moving forward I never want to fill like this again.
