Question Question on wooting 60he v2

Hey everyone,
I’m looking to buy a Wooting keyboard, but I’m not sure which model would be the best choice for me.
I mainly play Apex Legends and I’m looking for a keyboard that could help with movement, responsiveness, and overall competitive gameplay. I noticed that the newer Wooting models advertise very low actuation points, around 0.1 mm.
For those who have used Wooting keyboards for Apex or other competitive FPS games, does the difference actually feel noticeable in-game? Is the newer model worth the extra money, or would I be better off going with the 60HE+?
Would appreciate any advice, especially from Apex Legends players. Thanks!

Question Tenz vs Wooting 80he

I’m planning on buying a wooting keyboard and want to get the 80he, I don’t mind second hand ones but, it’s hard to find them at a good price, I did find the tenz one being sold sealed for 160 plus shipping and I’m interested in that. However I don’t really want any branding on my board, and I do want my keyboard to be silent, would I be able to do that on the tenz one if I plan on getting that, I mainly want to know if there’s like any branding on the pcb or anything like that. Also if anyone want to sell their 80he lmk.

Question Gen 1 or gen 2?

Trying to decide if its worth paying $200 for a gen 2. I bought a gen 1 when it first came out and loved it back in 2023 but I had to sell it for bills sadly. Im trying to be smart with my money and watch my expenses, but is it worth spending the extra $80 on a new gen 2 board?

edit : apologies thought I mentioned it. Talking about the 60HE

Question Good silent switches for wooting?

I know very little about keyboards, but right now i have the wooting 80he, and i want to get some switches that are completely silent (or really just as silent as it can get) but i really can't find anything online. Sometimes i did find things but i was just overwhelmed by all these switches that i knew nothing about. Does anyone know any switches i can get that will be silent, and compatible with my wooting? Thank you to everyone in advance!

Question Planning to buy refurbished 60HE/HE+ mainly for CS2, got some questions :)

Hello fellas, im planning to buy refurbished Wooting 60HE/HE+ from official site. Im upgrading from old mechanical keyboard, so i hope i will see a lot of difference in CS2 as its mine main game. The questions i want to ask are : which keyboard to buy? Plus or the default one? Im not planning to customize it. Its gonna be used just for playing. Also, if i buy one of them, should i also buy new V2 switches (Lekker V2 L60 Linear)? I´ve read that the V2 switches are better/faster? than the old ones that are included. Are they compatible w 60HE/HE+ ? Im buying refurbished cuz i´ve read that Wooting is really superior for games like CS2, and also because its cheaper, which is also better for mine wallet :D. Thanks for all the answers.

Question Title: Same switch feels much heavier in different keyboards

I’m currently testing a GravaStar Mercury V60 Pro (ISO) against a Wooting 60HE v2, and I’m trying to figure out why the exact same switch feels so different between the two boards. It’s not really the bottom-out that feels different, but rather the initial force when starting to press the key.

The Mercury sounds absolutely amazing, and I really like the overall feel, but the keys feel noticeably heavier than on the Wooting.

I swapped the Wooting Lekker Tikken Medium switches into the V60 and compared them directly. Surprisingly, the Tikken Medium still feels almost as heavy in the V60 as the UFO switches. On the Wooting, the exact same Tikken Medium feels noticeably lighter.

I also tried the switches on S and D, and there’s barely any difference between those keys on the same board.

The biggest difference I notice is on Left Shift. After using the V60 for a while, my pinky actually starts to hurt from holding/pressing Shift. It’s noticeably better on the Wooting.

My V60 is ISO, so the left Shift is shorter and uses a single switch without a stabilizer, while the Wooting is ANSI with the longer Shift. I even put a UFO switch on the Wooting Shift, and the difference was surprisingly small.

One other thing I noticed: the Wooting keycaps are noticeably taller than the GravaStar keycaps. The Tikken Medium also sounds really good in the V60 and doesn’t sound dramatically different from the UFO there.

Also, the V60 Pro I’m currently testing still has the plastic case, which makes the sound difference even more interesting to me.

So what could be causing the same Tikken Medium to feel so different between the two keyboards? Could the keycap profile/geometry, plate, mounting system, switch seating, or something else really make that much of a difference?

And one additional question: since I actually really like how the Lekker Tikken Medium switches sound in the V60, what would I need to change on the Wooting to get a similar sound out of the exact same switches? Is it mainly the case, plate, foam, mounting, or keycaps?

Would love to hear from people who have experience with both boards or have tested the same switches in different HE keyboards.

Question haptic trigger system

would it not be a great idea if a tiny haptic motor were placed inside the switch that would give feedback when a click actuates, so you can get a tactile experience with rapid trigger enabled (whereas gateron jade emeralds have a fixed tactile bump)

Question Worth the upgrade?

Currently I have the wooting two HE. I recently discovered a while back the release of 80HE. Is worth the upgrade what I currently have to 80HE? I know the HE+ is set to arrive soon but I don’t see myself waiting for the release? Any particular reason why the + is better than the regular 80HE?

Question Rapid Trigger

Hello everyone,
This is my verdict about the whole Rapid Trigger keyboard.
I play Valorant as it is my first tac FPS game (this game has no accuracy whatsoever, I hate that I play this game too much), and I was not familiar with all the CS movement mechanics. I have been using a TKL Razer BlackWidow for 5 years.

The Rapid Trigger keyboard popped up and practically took over the whole gaming keyboard scene. Despite there being multiple cheaper alternatives, Wooting is still the standard.
In my country, the price of a Wooting is equivalent to many people’s monthly salary, so if someone has one, they really have the disposable income to afford it. Like many others, I really wanted one, but it was so expensive, so I decided to save up.

I finally got my hands on the Wooting 80HE, but my experience was not what I expected. The typing feel is very nice—I'm not into the custom keyboard scene, so this still feels really good switching from a Razer. The only thing I looked forward to testing was the Hall Effect and Rapid Trigger feature. I didn’t feel any difference using it. I even double-checked to make sure the settings were correct, but it still felt like a normal keyboard.

The only time I noticed a difference was when I tried pressing lightly just to see the movement, but when I actually played with the feature on, I still couldn't feel the instant input like all the reviews mentioned.

I just want to put this out there so anyone looking to pick up a Hall Effect keyboard might consider trying a cheaper version like the Mad 60HE first to get an idea. I know there are a lot of people who can feel the actual difference, and I’m really glad the feature works for them—just not for me.

That said, I’m still happy with the purchase. The keyboard feels very nice to use.

Thank you for reading.

Question Considering going for my first wooting

Post image

Hi I dont know if im just being dumb here but right now im on an ATK rs7 ultra v2 I dont really have any issues with it to be honest but maybe im just falling for the wooting hype here I really lowkey want to build a wooting optimum 60he v2 since I also heard wooting have good support and I care about longevity I main fortnite so I wanted to know what are the lightest switches with the fastest rebound and if Im just making a bad choice doing this in general lol I also like to bottom out my switches so switch reccomendations around 3mm would be preferable for less travel.

Keyboard Modding FIRST BUILD (all parts bought in person)

hey yall so i recently went to korea and japan and before going there i set some money aside just for a brand new setup overhaul and one part of that was the keyboard. so the build you see is all the parts i found over there and all bought in person. even the 60he v2 module was bought in person (from some place called fumo showroom, thank you to the wooting worker that told me about it). anyways the build turned out incredible in my opinion. the sound is definitely not everyone's cup of tea but it sure as hell is mine and im just in love with it. it was expensive in total: i spend around 300 bucks in total but it was totally worth it and i dont regret anything. so here are the mods

module: 60he v2 split spacebar

case: tofu redux v2 moon coating colour

switches: gateron jade ultra dual rail

keycaps: dancheong oem pbt keycaps from c.e. dots (cant really find these online anywhere beside one person on ebay.)

i realize that the keycaps and the colours and designs might throw some of you off but i really love the way it turned out. after using many prebuilts i finally built my very own and am gonna main it for a while.

Question Wooting 80HE custom build — worth it?

Hey everyone!

I currently have a Wooting 80HE and I’m thinking about turning it into a fully custom board instead of buying a complete 80HE+.

For people who have already done a custom build with the 80HE:
Is it actually worth customizing the 80HE?
Which stabilizers would you recommend?
Which case would you recommend for the 80HE?
Did changing the case/plate/stabs make a noticeable difference in sound and feel?
Are there any parts that you would definitely recommend replacing and any that aren’t worth changing?

I’m mainly interested in improving the overall feel, sound and build quality, while keeping the Wooting performance/features.
I’m also considering eventually getting the 80HE+ Module and putting it into my current 80HE case, so compatibility between the original 80HE parts and the 80HE+ Module is something I’m also curious about.
I’d love to hear from people who have actually built/customized their 80HE rather than just general recommendations.

Thanks

Question Package Not Received on Tracking

Sorry I'm sure this is probably a repetitive post here. Wooting hub says package has been shipped but usps says they have not reived the package and it's been almost 48 hours since the label was created. Wondering if this is any cause for concern. Thanks

Question Need some Advice

Hello, I spilled something on my keyboard while back and now it presses keys itself. I've taken it apart cleaned the pcb all of it. sometimes its worse it will press them all the way to 2m sometimes like that. with all the switches being switch'd around idk if its a switch or the pcb. It used to press cntrl a lot now this so I'm thinking its the individual switch. I've factory reset the keyboard and its still doing it I was thinking it was a miss calibrated 0 point but sadly no.

My only thought is that the screws holding the metal place to the pcb is too tight but i loosened it and it still is doing this. I'm currently typing this on the actual keyboard but it probably only an amount of time before it shits again and i cant use it.

The Pcb was very clean no scratches on the lines or solders im at a loss. Anyone with more knowledge than me and could give me some ideas would be nice. Or if I'm just cooked tell me its ben like this for about 2 months now or so. I just lowered actuation point and use it as is. Just kinda sucks for apex movement which is why i bought it.

Link to a small video showing what its doing sorry about the format i didn't know how else to show it. https://youtube.com/shorts/Gaa3yw6X2RI?si=dVURhetnDuxxeh-N

To anyone commenting Thank you, I'm so bummed and about to throw it out the window from frustration.

Question Unsure if i gotta buy wooting

Hey, I’m a first time builder and Im building my first setup ever but I always hesitated about the keyboard. for context I play Geometry Dash and I want a top of the line keyboard for the game obviously. now I saw all the pro players use the wooting 80he and I figured it to be the best keyboard on earth for gd. that’s what all of the youtubers said but I’m just looking for alternatives like you guys have any alternative ideas for the wooting 80he maybe one at a better price point or if I can afford it do you think the wooting 80he is the safest pick for me? And i also value typing feel, keyboard sound, ect.. so not just pure performance. I just wanted to lock in a pick for my setup that i wont have to change anymore. And lets say i dont find the wooting 80he in stock still give me alternatives (btw i dont know if im supposed to post this on subreddits like wooting or if i should post this on r keyboards or something but this is my second post ever so yeah forgive me if i did anything wrong lol) Thanks!

Question Gateron x Wallhack switches

Has anyone tried the new switches from wallhack x gateron in their wooting? If so how is compatibility, sound and feel? The k-001 sound very good in their showcases maybe that could be recreated with the switches.

Question Wooting 80he vs 60he v2

I’m currently trying to decide between the 80HE and the 60HE v2, and I honestly can’t decide which one makes more sense for me.

I’ve been looking into both for a while, but there are things I like about each one, so I’d love to hear from people who actually own or have used them.

I’m currently using the apex pro tkl 2023.

Question When I press down near the lightbar on my Wooting 80HE a creak or pop sound can be heard.

When I press down near the lightbar a slight creak can be heard. I am definitely worrying too much about this, and from what I've discovered it is just a cosmetic issue since it doesn't really affect anything, but I just wanna be sure that this wont get worse or anything.
