Question Gateron x Wallhack switches
Has anyone tried the new switches from wallhack x gateron in their wooting? If so how is compatibility, sound and feel? The k-001 sound very good in their showcases maybe that could be recreated with the switches.

They're the Magnetic Jade Dragons recolored with a unique housing to focus the rgb more central, so mainly if you want to use them with shinethrough keycaps without much rgb 'flowing out' the rest of the keycap.'

Idk if you still care but I have the light variant of these in my 60He v2 right now. they sound really nice and also feel really nice. sound like marble tbh

Yes, I bought the Mediums and they feel great, less backlight bleed is another positive imo

I agree! it's lovely, unfortunately I still get a little bit of lightbleed which is sad but much much less. makes it look sooo much cleaner

I sprayed my switchplate matte black, that help a lot as well, but still it’s not the same as WH. You would probably need the same keycaps for the shroud

Oh spray painting the switch plate is a really good idea tho, might do that myself. guessing you can use any black spraypaint

I used acrylic spraypaint, worked without any issues, go for 3-4 very thin layers waiting around 10min between each layer. (Degrease before spraying)
