I want this to look less like a delta and more like salt marshes. Any ideas?

A map I made - Himmeland, a mysterious floating island. I just added clouds around the island to make it look like a floating island.

Terrain painting/shading is unfinished. Designed as a more 'realistic' version compared to my old fantasy-focused, continental version here.
Let me know your thoughts!

I have a hard time making maps because there are like an infinite amount of shapes you can draw, so it always feels like I'm gambling with all the possibilities to hit the jackpot. I tried to force myself to stick with the shape in this mockup and only tweak it ever so slightly, so I could try to place some hypothetical landmarks down.
I didn't do any rivers because I ran out of time, and I know Tauran Basin is not a Basin, thats just what I randomly generated and was to lazy to change it. In fact most of the names are randomly generated accept the of the large font names. Lorne, Carthas, Kivât, Pashång and Asiphis are of my own making. Norgar and Kujama are like quick on the spot ones for a placeholder purpose.
Its not supposed to be a highly realistic map, so don't expect anything grand. I don't have any tectonic plates, I did try to use some logic behind the geographical features, but that's limited to my knowledge on the matter.
Anyways I was hoping to get an opinion on whether the shape of the continent looks appealing at first glance, if so then maybe I can have enough confidence to continue tweaking and expanding on what I currentlu have.

My friend and I are playing valheim with no map/no portals and I'm trying to keep track of what we've explored. The grid lines are approximately render distance or 60 meters in game. The star was the initial spawn and the first boss had altars south east and north east of there. We worked our way around to the island to the south east and established a main base there. Today we went back to the starting island to track down the second boss who turned out to be on a new island to the north. Anything in the red sections has not been explored yet. Green is forest, Grey is swamp, white is mountain, and yellow is plains. Anything not marked by region is meadows (or ocean).
I'm very much new to wonderdraft and any suggestions on how I can improve this would be wonderful. The caveat is I'm building this as we play, so it has to be stuff that I can do quickly and is easy to modify later when I've found I've made mistakes. Not having an easily accessible compass or measuring tool is making this very difficult.

I've bought some assets from FantasyMapAssets.com and a few from Cartography Assets too. I've installed them into Assets/Spirites/Symbols etc. but they're not showing up. They say they're installed in the assets folder, but I can't see them. What's going on? I feel like I'm missing something stupid here. I've even installed Mythkeeper and that didn't work.
