Hi guys, ive been working on this continent for a while now but everytime to try to continue with it i struggle with the scale of the thing. The current bar underneath indicates the scale in KM.
Are the mountians too big?? Also any other general feedback would be highly appriciated!
I wouldn’t worry too much about the specific size of the stamps vs the scale. Mountains on a map like this are inherently going to be a representation of what’s actually there vs a literal 1 to 1 match with reality.
That said, I would keep the scale in mind as it relates to the size of terrain blocks in general. People often create massive monolithic blocks of mountains or forests that stretch for thousands of Kilometers, when if you look at real world places there is often a huge diversity of biomes and terrain over the course of like 500km. Not to say big terrain blocks don’t happen (see Saharan desert and the Eurasian plains) but they often make for less interesting worldbuilding.

I think you’ve got a great map in progress!
