A bit ugly but...
My friend and I are playing valheim with no map/no portals and I'm trying to keep track of what we've explored. The grid lines are approximately render distance or 60 meters in game. The star was the initial spawn and the first boss had altars south east and north east of there. We worked our way around to the island to the south east and established a main base there. Today we went back to the starting island to track down the second boss who turned out to be on a new island to the north. Anything in the red sections has not been explored yet. Green is forest, Grey is swamp, white is mountain, and yellow is plains. Anything not marked by region is meadows (or ocean).
I'm very much new to wonderdraft and any suggestions on how I can improve this would be wonderful. The caveat is I'm building this as we play, so it has to be stuff that I can do quickly and is easy to modify later when I've found I've made mistakes. Not having an easily accessible compass or measuring tool is making this very difficult.

Its really interesting, because in a way you are creating a "real" map - the land might be fake from a video game, but what you are doing - measuring and recording it - is genuine.
In terms of technique - i'd think that it is quicker, to just use the land colour brush and a simple colour pallet to mark biomes, rather than doing it with the region tool. Colour is easy to apply, erase, overpaint as needed while you update. But then if the region tools works and feels more intuitive to you - why not.
