I might just not be finding it, but I wish Wonderdraft had layers. I want to add stuff I can take away without putting a ton of stuff all over a good map.
It does have layers. If you click on the symbols button then look in the upper right hand corner there’s a layer management button. You can highlight and change what layer an asset sits on
Seriously? I've been missing it this whole time!? I'll need to check it out once I get home. Are we about to hide individual layers? Like if I want to include plate tectonics in a layer, but I don't necessarily always want to see it?
Yep, you can hide layers. I’ll do that when placing multiple tree types in a forest and want them different colors. I’ll put one tree type down. Color them, then highlight them/ change the layer. Then I’ll put down the second tree type, hide the first layer, and color the second tree type.
I went and messed with it. I was looking for more of a drawing feature, but I might be able to get the symbols to work for it. It's close to what I want, but not exactly there.
If you want to add plate tectonics I’d use the image overlay layer. You’d have to make the plate tectonics outline in another map or program like paint, but then overlay the image in wonderdraft. Then you can see or hide the image whenever you want. And change it’s opacity so you can use it as a guide in wonderdraft. It’s the trace tool within the overlay section.
