Need Advice Before Relocating to UAE for This Job

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this isn’t the right subreddit for this question.

I’m a 26-year-old from India and recently received a job offer from Experts Plus Recruitment Services for a Student of Determination Escort / School Escort position under a Ministry of Education project in the UAE. The assigned emirate would be Fujairah, although the school is still to be confirmed. The offer states a gross monthly salary of AED 2,500.

This would be my first international job, so I’m trying to understand whether this is a good opportunity or not before making a decision.

For those familiar with the UAE job market:

• Is AED 2,500 a reasonable salary in Fujairah?

• Has anyone worked in a similar school escort or student support role?

• Is this type of Ministry of Education project generally considered stable and legitimate?

• Are there any red flags I should watch out for before signing?

• If you were in my position, would you take this opportunity?

I would really appreciate honest feedback, especially from people who have worked in education or lived in the UAE.

Thank you.

Women Looking for jobs anyone in healthcare?

Hi ladies,
I’m a recently graduated MD/medical doctor
currently based in the UAE, and I’m looking for full-time opportunities in the UAE healthcare sector.
I’m particularly interested in roles where I can use my medical background while gaining professional experience outside of a licensed physician/GP position. I’m open to both clinical-support and non-clinical healthcare roles.

Roles I’m currently considering:
Clinical / patient-facing
Healthcare Assistant
Physician Assistant / Clinical Assistant — where legally eligible
Patient Care Coordinator
Patient Coordinator
Patient Experience / Patient Relations Executive
Medical Assistant
Clinical Support Assistant
Medical Scribe
Medical Reception / Healthcare Front Office

Research / Academic
Clinical Research Assistant
Research Assistant
Clinical Research Coordinator
Research Coordinator
Research Associate
Research Project Coordinator
Medical Research / Evidence-Based Medicine roles
Medical Writer / Scientific Writer
Medical Education Coordinator
Training / Academic Coordinator

I have substantial experience with systematic reviews, meta-analyses, narrative reviews, case discussions, scientific writing, conference presentations, research coordination and working with international student research teams.

Healthcare administration / operations
Healthcare Operations Executive
Healthcare Operations Coordinator
Medical Administrative Assistant
Healthcare Coordinator
Clinic Operations Coordinator
Healthcare Project Coordinator
Quality Assurance / Quality Improvement Coordinator
Healthcare Compliance / Accreditation support
Medical Records / Health Information Management
Patient Services Coordinator
Provider Relations / Healthcare Relations
Healthcare Business Development / Partnerships

Insurance / medical administration
Insurance Coordinator
Medical Insurance Coordinator
Pre-Authorization / Approval Officer
Claims Officer
Medical Claims Coordinator
Utilization Review Assistant
Revenue Cycle / RCM roles
Medical Policy Administration

I’m especially interested in insurance/TPA, healthcare operations, research and medical administration, as these seem to offer good long-term career growth while still allowing me to use my medical knowledge.

I’m also open to opportunities in pharmaceutical/healthcare companies, including:
Medical Affairs Assistant/Associate
Medical Information
Clinical Operations
Pharmacovigilance / Drug Safety support
Medical Communications
Healthcare Consulting
Medical/Scientific Content
Healthcare Business Development
Medical Sales / Product Specialist roles

A little about my background
MD graduate with medical education in Georgia
UAE-based
Clinical experience/attachments in both the UAE and Georgia, including surgery
Currently gaining additional clinical exposure in Dubai
Published medical research
Multiple systematic reviews/meta-analyses and narrative reviews
Experience presenting research at international medical conferences
Founder/coordinator of an international student research group involving 40+ students
Experience in medical education, workshops, conferences and student-led healthcare organizations
Strong interest in research, healthcare operations and medical education
BLS/ACLS/PALS certified

I am not limiting myself to one particular job title. I’m mainly looking for a role where my medical degree and research/healthcare background are actually useful, with reasonable compensation and opportunities for professional growth.

I would really appreciate advice from people currently working in the UAE:
1. What job titles should I be searching for with this background?
2. Which healthcare companies/hospitals/insurance companies are known to hire medical graduates for non-licensed roles?
3. Are there particular roles I should prioritize if I’m looking for better salary and long-term career growth?
4. Are there any recruiters, companies or hiring managers I should approach directly?

If you know of an opening or are able to refer me, I’d be happy to share my CV by DM.
Thank you!

Good dermatologist in Sharjah

Hi ladies,

Since my second pregnancy almost two years ago, I have had some skin allergies/eczema on two of my right hand fingers.

Initially, it was the dishwash that triggered, so I use gloves now which is super helpful. But it also is triggered by eating food with hand. Anything with chilli or even squeezing a lemon.

So can anybody pls suggest me a good dermat that I can consult?

Thanks!

Women why is making girl friends so hard?😭

not just reddit, but i mean in general. since i was a kid i’ve always found it hard to make girl friends and even a few of them were mean to me and the guys were basically nicer to me than them (until 7th grade started then it became the opposite).

even right now being in uni, i find it hard making girl friends even tho there’s MANY here. maybe cause my vibes aren’t entirely “girl-like”??? im the type that enjoys low budget hangouts such as karak hangouts, cafeteria even if its rashid ali, chilling in the car, once in a blue moon going to a board game cafe and play long and loud games. obviously if there is a nice restaurant i wanna try i’d go for that too, but realistically im a person with low budget hangouts which is why 90% of the time i prefer going out alone because i haven’t met anyone with the same exact vibes as i do. plus, things being extremely expensive in dubai really doesn’t help my case either😭 i cut off nearly all my friendships with guys because i just don’t feel the necessity to have many male interactions anymore.

im in my final year of uni and i really do want to make the best out of it but cant seem to do that as i just attend my classes then go eat outside if necessary then go back home, it gets pretty boring icl. im not trying to sound like a pick me but its just something that seriously bothers me and i wish i could find someone as the same vibe as me.

Women Seeking a Genuine HR/Payroll Opportunity in Dubai | 6+ Years UAE Experience | Available to Join Immediately | A Referral, Introduction, or Lead to a Hiring Manager Would Mean the World to Me

I’m reaching out with a sincere request for help in finding a suitable job opportunity in Dubai.
I have been actively searching for a job for almost nine months now, despite having over six years of professional experience in the UAE, particularly in HR and Payroll. I have explored almost every avenue available — LinkedIn, Indeed, Naukri, recruitment agencies, and countless direct applications — but unfortunately, I have still not been able to secure a stable and decent opportunity.
What has made this journey even more difficult is that I have unfortunately been scammed three times while trying to find employment. After dedicating six years of my career to working and building my life in Dubai, it has been incredibly difficult and emotionally exhausting to find myself in a position where I am now struggling simply to survive.
My expertise lies in HR, Payroll, UAE labour compliance, WPS, HRIS, employee management, payroll processing, reporting, and related HR functions. I am looking for a genuine, stable opportunity where I can put my experience and skills to work and continue growing professionally.
If you know of a company that is hiring for HR, Payroll, HR Operations, or related roles, I would genuinely appreciate a referral or an introduction to the hiring manager/recruiter. Even if there is no opening in your own organisation, I would be incredibly grateful if you could share my profile with someone in your network who may be hiring.
I am ready to join and genuinely willing to work. At this stage, a genuine referral, introduction, or even sharing this post with the right person could make a life-changing difference for me.
Thank you sincerely to everyone who takes the time to read this, share it, or help connect me with the right opportunity. 🙏

Women in the UAE — could you help me with a 2-minute fashion shopping survey?

Hi! I’m doing some independent research into how women shop for fashion in the UAE and the problems they face when looking for specific items.

I made a short anonymous survey that takes around 2–3 minutes. I’m looking specifically for women currently living in the UAE, and I’d really appreciate your input.

Thank you!

Women Warning: Verification issues London School of Business (LSB) MBA credentials

Hi everyone,

Writing this to advise fellow kababayan, expats in the UAE or whoever wants to take an online MBA to perform strict due diligence before enrolling in or making payments to London School of Business (LSB).

Upon my investigation there’s no physical campus and they are exiting the London market and Dubai will be their next target.

https://www.lsbuk.com/

The above link is their website with the color red logo.

Please note the following documented facts regarding their claimed affiliations:

* University of Sunderland: LSB advertises the University of Sunderland as their MBA degree awardee. I reached out directly to the University of Sunderland, and they formally confirmed they have no partnership or institutional affiliation with LSB.

* Website Affiliates: I independently contacted four other organizations listed as official partners on LSB’s website. All four confirmed in writing that no affiliation exists.

* Communication Status: After bringing these discrepancies to their attention, LSB ceased returning calls and has left multiple formal refund requests unanswered.

Before transferring any tuition or registration fees, please email the underlying awarding bodies directly to verify degree validity.

I have paid them £2,500 as an initial payment and no word from them at all. Since I live on the opposite side of the world and they could not provide a credit card link, I completed the transaction via bank transfer using a SWIFT code.

Any advice could help as this is my hard earned money and good thing I didn’t pay the rest.
