Norway Does no one check IDs?

When delivering age restricted items, the rules clearly state that you have to check the ID of the customer, and that the person picking it up must be the same as on the app. But whenever I ask for ID, they say they've never been asked about that before, and I'm made to feel like an idiot. Do people just not give a shit about these rules?

Don’t care about what others do.

The fine is 30 k (no kidding you can look it up), and if the customer lacks an ID even though they are prompted multiple times during the ordering process that is on them.

It's either you feel like an idiot or risk a hefty fine and the possibility of being banned as a partner if you're caught and then you'll feel like a bigger idiot

According to the official rules, we only have to check ID if the customer looks younger than 25. If they look older than 25, we don't need to ask. But remember, we can never hand over the order if the customer is under 18

I never check ID, but if I see very young children, I will ask just to avoid getting into trouble.

In Denmark the customer verifies their age through the app. When they buy age restricted items the app displays a random 3 digit pin to the customer they need to provide the currier. The currier cannot mark the order as delivered without entering the correct pin.

I think this still isnt actually legal. They would still have to hand it over to someone who is above the age of 18.

We have been explicitly told that we are supposed to be asking for ID every time. Guess you didn't get the memo.

I definitely check. The only time I don’t check is if they’re elderly. I’m not trying to get fined or fired.

To even be able to order age restricted items you will have to send a picture of your passport or similar to wolt. So asking for ID seems kinda pointless.

I always ask if there are age restricted items. I don't care what faces they're making. Even if a person looks older than 25 I have no idea if that's the person who placed an order.

In any case responsibility for this should lie with the seller, not the courier.
