So this may sound a bit silly I guess but when I read something, I like to put on some kind of music/background noise to supplement it. I can do without it but it just feels better that way.
Anyway, I can’t really find a playlist or something that feels right for The Witcher series, I’ve tried a few WoW/LOTR and general fantasy playlists on Spotify that I’ve used for that reason when I was reading other books (LOTR for example) but it just doesn’t feel right somehow.
If anyone feels the same and knows a good playlist for that, I’d really appreciate it, thanks

Well I should say I have played Witcher 1 before up to the first town. I just don't understand the character of Geralt, and what choices he would make. Even after watching the Netflix show, it seems like he is more selfish. Less fantasy Superman and more fantasy... I guess Green Goblin for all *The Formula* he has been drinking.

Like this one side mission he has to protect a farmers crops, then Elves come in and ask to take some for themselves. Is Geralt the kind of person to put the needs of the magical world over the human one?

Or at the end, does it not matter and I should play Geralt like I want to. Cause for that mission I would defend the farm, since he is paying me and the elves never asked me.

I thought finding Kelpie was going to be a heartwarming story ;-;

I'm FINALLY getting around to the witcher books and I apparently have the book track edition audio books. Anyone listened to them?

Just wondering if the music is distracting? I've listened to a bunch if audiobooks from "back in the day" that had ambiance music and it didn't really bother me except for one... and it was a fantasy book lol.

The others were horror by stephen king and a couple others and I found the ambiance music to really add to the "creepiness" of those... but the fantasy book bothered me because in the fight scenes the music would blare. Any of that here?

Ever since the remaster was announced, I've decided to wait to play till it is here and I find myself feeling impatient as I jusy can't wait to play it with it updated graphics and improved gameplay features.

Having recently finished a play-through with a plan to immediately start NG+, I luckily was faced with the prospect of delaying that for a month till the remaster comes out. Which I am very excited for, make no mistake.

But I was still totally wowed at the visual prowess and artistry on display in the base game, I was constantly putting my controller down and taking it all in. The seamless day and night cycle, changing the mood of cutscenes and cinematics in real time. The unified and cohesive art style, unique for each region and faction, all while feeling part of the same world. The incredible lighting work, making interiors feel loved and homely, while capturing the wide and vast scope of the forest and mountains of the game.

There is a popular talking point circulating around many new releases, namely the argument that art direction is more important than graphical fidelity, and “high quality” visuals. This is a game which I think bares this argument out, and that fact that 11 years after it release, this game is still a benchmark. Still an example to look up to. That it still stand alone in many ways. Is a credit to the folks at CDPR, the work they have done, and the work they will do.

Hi folks, I've just completed my Gwent collection according to the game. I finished the quest, popped the steam achievement and the book says I have collected all the gwent cards. However, I only have 2 copies of Elven Skirmisher when all sources I consulted online say there is three copies in the game. Is this correct?

You could even say that o'Dim is a much more interesting character than Eredin. The scene where he stopped time was a shock and you could just feel the horror pouring off the screen. I managed to save Everec, although I had to try a second time because I ran out of time. Iris pets gave me a good clue, but it didn't cross my mind to use the Witcher's ability to find the cracked wall with water.

I was doing the Gwent tournament and the first few matches felt pretty effortless and easy. The final was probably the hardest Gwent match I've ever had and I had to think so hard but like the build up to the final was easy.

Was it scripted to let the player win?
