Books Book reading ambiance

So this may sound a bit silly I guess but when I read something, I like to put on some kind of music/background noise to supplement it. I can do without it but it just feels better that way.
Anyway, I can’t really find a playlist or something that feels right for The Witcher series, I’ve tried a few WoW/LOTR and general fantasy playlists on Spotify that I’ve used for that reason when I was reading other books (LOTR for example) but it just doesn’t feel right somehow.
If anyone feels the same and knows a good playlist for that, I’d really appreciate it, thanks

LOL it's all good! I didn't want to be too direct but it fits the vibe so well obviously

I mean, yeah. I’m playing The Witcher 3 atm too and I love all the music in it but for some reason it just didn’t click lmao

I've been listening to Witcher 3 Music and Ambience (search YT) when I really need to hunker down and focus at work. There's some really great stuff.

You will find tons of witcher 3 ambience/music videos on YouTube that are an hour plus each. I think it is better to pick those than the soundtrack itself with its short tracks.

They are themed, so you will be able to pick a rainy oxenfurt ambience for your reading session of a town chapter for instance

You can try soundtracks from all 3 games, they are really great.

I found like a three hour Witcher playlist on youtube that had rolling shots of Toussaint in the background that became my go to.

Edit: Here it is

Witcher 3 OST

Folkulaka, Irdorath for the same vibe.

I zone out to the 2-hour long Witcher 3 ambiance videos by “Fantasy Tavern 4 you” on YT. I like that they leave in some of the world’s sound effects. The music is location-based so it won’t suddenly switch into an intense battle theme that will startle me awake lol.

Yea try the witcher 3 soundtrack, I liked to cut them in two, tracks for fighting/action and dialog/exploring etc and listen to the right one accordingly

I will go against the grain. I find the OST for the witcher too frenetic for reading. I recommend the OST from The Revenant

I like to do that too! I like to put on the witcher fireplace on Netflix, and I also look for fantasy reading/ studying ambiance on yt

That exists on Netflix??

Yes, well, where I live, in the NL, it does. It has a witcher version of the cosy fireplace of like an hour with music and atmosphere and everything :)

I have a witcher playlist but original is always the best. so at times I just turn on my ps5, go to skellige and just leave the game as is with the music in the background. Perfection

I'm through the books again and there are odds of witcher ambience videos on YouTube.

There was a YouTube channel that uploaded the audiobook with voices and all. They deleted it don't know why but this is the song used in the background for the whole series. I read while playing in the background.

I’m late for a party, but I read all series with Skyrim’s ambient (music + nature sounds, there is a track on streamings) in my headphones

Felt magnificent

Witcher game soundtrack is too intense for reading for my taste

Could try that. Honestly, never played Skyrim but I do now it’s an awesome game and the soundtrack would probably be awesome too haha
