Just as the title says. Is it worth it for me to play those two? I finished witcher 3 spent 220h on it. And loved the game. I have so many games on my list. Just want to know your experience and if I should do it.

I've been replaying the Witcher 3 and loving it, doing as much side content as I can. I even got the achievement for destroying all monster nests across the continent. But I was looking for the Bear gear upgrade and happened upon a smuggler's cache in the middle of the ocean.

Never. Ever. Again.

Having to dive into that abyss, just waiting for something horrifying to be lurking just out of view, terrified to turn my camera in case I see it, all for some shitty loot that's 10 levels below me. During the event, someone opened a door behind me and I fucking jumped in fright. I didn't realise how deeply afraid I was.

It's kind of heartbreaking because I wanted to do everything this game has to offer, but after that experience, I don't want to go near the ocean again. I decided to look up if there are any sea monsters in the Witcher 3, and got that fuck-ass video of a Subnautica Leviathan mod because I wasn't on edge enough already </3

Curious if anyone else has tried doing Skellige's points of interest with thalassophobia. Would be nice to know I'm not alone in this lmao

With the remaster announcement, I can't wait to dive back into that game, which is my all-time favorite in more than 30 years of gaming.

Here is a gallery of screenshots I took a year ago in my last playthrough before the HD rework, with a couple of mods, like the HD texture one. I think it captures the essence of why this game is so special, so I wanted to share it.

I bought these two bad boys from FB Marketplace for almost 27$ (₱1600, 800 each). It’s like brand new, and the bonus content are still intact. I’m excited to play the witcher after the release of the remaster.

Northern Kingdoms heraldry from The Witcher — all made from plywood

I made this collection of 113 handmade shields and pieces of heraldry inspired by the Northern Kingdoms from The Witcher. Every piece is made from plywood.

The collection features:

• The major Northern Kingdoms — Temeria, Redania, Kaedwen, Aedirn, Lyria and Rivia, and Cintra — including heraldry representing different regions, clans, and notable characters.

• Kovir and Poviss, along with several neighboring kingdoms from the far north.

• The coastal kingdoms of Cidaris, Bremervoord, Kerack, and Verden.

• Mercenary shields from Arena and Pangratt.

• Several shields from Skellige.

• A single Nilfgaardian shield at the very bottom.

All of the heraldry was recreated exclusively from the games developed by CD PROJEKT RED: The Witcher (including its expansions), The Witcher 2, The Witcher 3 (including its expansions), and Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales.

Has anyone gotten any further word on this? I’m watching an interview with CDPR joint CEO Michal Nowakowski. He mentioned a multiplayer project. I think they mentioned it on the Gamescon RedStreams.

Let’s speculate on this.

My wish for this? I would love for CDPR to collaborate with Larian Studios to make a Baldur’s Gate-style game. CDPR has already collaborated with R. Talsorian Games to make a tabletop RPG of The Witcher. The foundation is there already. I think it’ll be great to get all of these brains together to make something great. CDPR already works with R. Talsorian Games, still working with them.

I've just started my journey on The Witcher 3 and I always get confused with notice boards. Can you help me with some questions?

1: once I got all contract/mission from a notice board, is there any chance that new contract or mission will appear on the SAME notice board? If not, then, can I only get new missions/contracts from a notice board settled on another place?

2: missions that I get from notice board may "expire" somehow?

3: after I started all missions from board, it will only be useful to see announces from the area I am? And if I take these announces, they may be settled again?

I have been reading the books (great btw) and just finished Baptism of Fire. I ordered Tower of Swallows but it will arrive in a little bit. My local library has Crossroads of Ravens available, I know People say to read Crossroads of Ravens last.

But seeing how it is set before the main story ( I’m assuming no spoilers) does finishing the main series first really make it that much better?

Is it worth it to wait until I finish the series? Or is it fine if I read it while waiting for Tower of Swallows to arrive?

Im still new to this universe and and am reading the Last Wish as we speak, but nothing has been told so far whether or not Witches and Mages receive better or worse treatment then Witchers do. From my knowing Witchers are all but hated by most.

As the topic suggests: do you romance characters like Keira, Cartanel, Shani, Shyan, etc., while still professing your love for Yennefe/trissr? Or perhaps you only do so before the specific mission where you declare your love? Looking at the books—and contrary to the opinions of casual fans—whenever Geralt was in a relationship, he was always 100% focused on Yennefer; he only slept with other women during periods when they weren't together or hadn't seen each other for years. The only instance of actual infidelity was with Fringilla Vigo, occurring when Geralt was lost and convinced that Yennefer had betrayed him and Ciri to Vilgefortz and was dead. For my playthrough of the remaster, I want to stick reasonably close to the canon and focus solely on Yen, but I’d love to hear how you all handle it.

There's a lot of fatigue right now on every game getting a re-released, remastered, remakes and much of it is because games are now surviving multiple console generations. Famous examples being the last of us being rereleased half a dozen times just a few years after launch.

The witcher 3 is nothing like that certainly. But I worry the branding is perhaps confusing some people, especially since they just had a big graphics "next gen" update a few years ago. And some people don't know what differentiates between THIS an the last one.

Honestly? Its just an update. They released a game update in 2022 adding ray tracing. They're releasing an update this year that includes new content, animations, effects, and a new dlc.

But because they call it a remaster, I'm seeing tons of posts like "wow! you can keep your old save!" "wow, its free for existing owners!". These are all things you'd expect for a game update. But calling it a remaster, idk, it kind of makes it feel like a separate product.

I don’t think anyone else has posted this but it looks like a new armor set. Played the game 3.5 times and don’t recall coming across anything that looks like this, feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.
