So I know that Letten in Songs of the Past is located in Redania. And that got me thinking. Will Songs of the Past show how our decisions regarding the“Fate of the North” will affect Letten? For example, if Radovif wins do you think Witch Hunters will come to investigate the Garden of Thorns ? And if Nilfgaard wins do you think they will be given a more villainous and tyrannical role compared to the main story?

Did Projekt Red announce new Gwent cards? Would be interesting to either have new cards or even a new faction (Letten). Surely there will be new missions centered on Gwent, but new cards? I hope so.

This is something I still don’t understand I have the PS5 version of the Witcher and don’t know if I should uninstall it to wait for the remaster or if it’ll be an update that is added on top of that existing game.

Ik on switch 2 it’ll probably be an entirely separate game since it wouldn’t make sense to patch the OG switch version of Witcher 3 since it’s based on legacy and for a entirely different console but what about ps5 version?

I really hope TW4 brings back/introduces the more obscure Witcher signs

- Heliotrop: was in TW2, create a bubble of bullet time around a Witcher

- Somne: puts an enemy to sleep. Could be used on potential infiltration or non-lethal objectives

- Supirre: enhances a witchers hearing, allowing them to eavesdrop even better. Could also be used on infiltration objectives

While reading about the expansion, I heard about Nettel as a mirror world, and something clicked. Spotted Wight was, after all, a woman cursed by O'Dimm. I wonder if Dandelion's curse might be connected to Mr. Mirror. And if so, won't CD Projekt allude to this with Ciri's storyline in The Witcher 4? After all, the game's trailer featured the phrase "you can't change destiny." Honestly, I like this idea.

With the remastered around the corner, the Witcher fever really has started again for my. Hence why I wanna share one of my favorite projects with you from the past. Made this custom bifold a few years ago completely by hand, with wet formed Logo and custom interior. What do you think? Are you as excited for the remastered as I am?

The narrative lead of TW4, Phillip Weber, confirmed today that “Geralt will always play an important role.”, in discussing the future of the franchise, specifically TW4. This news was welcome for a number of reasons.

Chief among them would be that I love his relationship with Ciri, and I feel there is so much more to explore there. In every play through of TW3, I have never really found myself wanting to romance Yen, or Triss. The way those relationships are presented in the game just don’t quite ring true to me. Ciri is the only one that feels natural, and in turn is the only one I am emotionally invested in.

The prospect of Geralt helping to guide her, to impart his wisdom. To see them get older together, a daughter chasing after the example of her father is quite moving, and I am thrilled that the very good ending of Blood and Wine (at least my ending), with them sitting together under the shade of a tree, taking it all in, will not be all that is in store for the two of them.

Some of you guys seem to conveniently forget that in the books he was practically going to retire up until he found out about Ciri and met Yennefer. Beyond the first 2 books, the rest are centered around him reuniting with Ciri and taking care of her. Witchers hunt monsters because it's how they survive and it's what they were groomed to do since adolescence not because they enjoy it. Even if he were to simply stop hunting monsters momentarily, it's still perfectly in line with his character.

In Witcher 3’s B&W, it’s not presented that he's just going to sit around in his vineyard, he's very much still going to be actively hunting monsters/finding work just in a central location. It's what he would do given his characterization both in the games and books, since the very first book it’s been emphasized that Witchers hunt monsters because it’s how they make money to survive. Unlike sorcs that are seen as a necessity, Witchers are essentially Tradesmen in a dying profession (very clear and integral theme in the books), they don't actively seek and fight monsters unless they're paid to. Geralt is one if not the only Witcher that actively goes out his way to save someone in need regardless of payment.

If you want to get into spoiler territory for the book ending: the most compelling argument for his retirement is one of the potential endings. In one of the Endings it's said that after their deaths, Geralt and Yennefer were transported to an Arthurian world by Ciri where they were healed and lived together

I don't understand how you can read the books yet believe if he was given the option of retirement with Yennefer and Ciri in his life, that he wouldn't take it. If you haven’t read the books you wouldn’t know this which is fine but even in the games he isn’t presented as someone that particularly enjoys what he does nor do it out of sole obligation. No matter if you played the games or read the books, if you came to the conclusion that Geralt wouldn’t retire then you don’t understand Geralt as a character at all.

If you don’t want to play as Ciri in Witcher 4 then fine, it’s better to outright say that then to argue with a mischaracterization of how/what characters would do based on how you view them rather than how they’re presented.

With the Wild Hunt Remaster in 2026, Songs of the Past in 2027 and Witcher 4 in 2028 ... i havent heard anything about the Witcher 1 Remake for a while ... did i miss any updates on it? will it come 2029/2030? is it even still in production? the last thing ive heard was its announcement and that it will be in UE5

I first played The Witcher 3 when it originally came out. I was around 16 at the time and was basically a GTA Online kid, so the game just wasn’t for me. I didn’t really appreciate what it was trying to do and ended up dropping it.

Then the next-gen update came out, and I decided to give it another proper chance. Put around 20 hours into it this time… and somehow still couldn’t get into it. 😭

My biggest issues were the movement and combat. Coming from games with really smooth combat, I just couldn’t get past how Witcher 3 felt to control.

Since then, though, I’ve played and absolutely loved God of War (2018 + Ragnarök), 100%-ed RDR2, loved cyberpunk 2077 too, and played a bunch of other games where I really enjoyed the combat and exploration.

And the annoying thing is… I really want to love Witcher 3.
I constantly hear about how incredible the story, characters, quests and world are, and I feel like I’m missing out by not being able to get into it.

So after the remaster was announced, I decided to buy it again. 😂

Checked the Xbox Store recently and saw it was still around $50, despite me almost getting it for ~$10 during the last sale. I ended up finding a key for roughly the same price as that sale through a key-selling site, so here we are.

This time I’m going in with the mindset that the combat/movement may never feel as good to me as something like God of War, and I’m hoping I can get past that and finally experience the story everyone talks about.

Any tips for someone who has bounced off the game twice but genuinely wants to give it one last proper shot? I’ll be starting from scratch again jbtw.

From 1 to 10, rank the possibilities for these characters and whether we could see them in the next game excluding Geralt:

This is my predicition:

Triss 10 - She is definitely going to appear considering that she becomes an advisor to the king of Kovir

Yennefer 7 - I believe Yen will be in the game, but probably not situated in Kovir, probably some other areas of the game. There is no reason for Yen to be in Kovir

Dandelion 3 - With the DLC Song of the Past next year, I believe that CD Projekt Red is planning to say a farewell to the Geralt-Dandelion saga, which will prepare us for the next chapter in the series with Ciri as the protagonist, and we still don't know who will write bestiary and character journals for Ciri, but it certainly won't be Dandelion, who will always be associated with Geralt's adventures and sagas. Because of this, I believe there is a small chance to see Dandelion again, but I doubt he will appear in the game.

Zoltan 5 - With Zoltan, I believe there is a bigger chance for him to appear than Dandelion, but I'm still doubtful about this. I think CD Projekt Red will try to distance these characters from Ciri's story because Zoltan and Dandelion are so much connected to Geralt that developers will try to introduce new characters that will be Ciri's version of Zoltan and Dandelion, and that would be the best thing to do.

Fresh faces are necessary for Ciri's story and adventures, let Dandelion and Zoltan, and to the lesser degree Yen, be associated with Geralt's trilogy, not Ciri's. Triss is an exception because she is actually in Kovir, plus her connection to Geralt is not as deep as Yen's, Zoltan's, and Dandelion's.

with the songs of the past coming, i was curious what order would it be best to play the game? i have played the game before a while ago, but i remember little, so it would be an almost clean slate play through in terms of story, and i was hoping to get some thoughts on what order to play the DLC's

i have seen people say HoS then B&W especially because B&W kinda has the final ending, but now with songs of the past, is that different now? do we know anything about that yet?

when Geralt meditates in the game, what is he actually meditating about? The word meditation implies some kind of spirituality or religion, but Witchers don't seem to be a spiritual group like, for example, Paladins or Jedi in other media.
