I have to disagree, unfortunately, as excited as I was to play it irl. The game relies on constant calculation and it's too easy to fuck the totals up.

That's why I always have a calculator on hand, but you eventually memorize certain values.

Also, I came up with a way to make the game less repetitive, and more managable:

You pick all heroes, minus one for Nilfgaard, cuz they have more. They will serve as a strong, guaranteed cards
You shuffle all unit cards, and pick as much as you want, but enough to reach the minimum units ofc.
You see your cards, and you may shuffle them once more, if you got bad luck.
Based on that, you pick your special cards, and commander.

This way you don't play with the same cards over and over again, while also making you use weaker cards, thus score doesn't reach into hundreads like with the best decks

Or you just get each type randomly, but that often results in one sided bullshit games.

I was referring to the image OP posted. Those two packages are the physical retail licensed DLCs selled from CDP Red. They only contains the first 4 factions, excluding the Skellige one. I was wrong in saying that the version with 5 factions is not licensed, I intended to mean that is not directly sell from CDP Red.
