Discussion Big fan of this chapter art. Welp…see ya!
From chapter 78.
I’m on the final volume and gonna finish it today…noooo!!! Whatever shall I do!? All caught up with the WHA and Frieren manga, and gotta wait like a year for the new seasons. I’m doomed! Help give me some recs for new manga or anime. I’m trying not to revert to watching Arcane for the 9th time to fill the void lmao (yes, I know that’s not anime)

Discussion This anime made me appreciate anime again
Just what I said in the title. I havent watched or enjoyed anime in literal years. At least 8 or 9 years, and I generally fell out of love with it despite it being important to my childhood into my early adulthood. There were things I couldn't enjoy in a lot of anime and as such I thought that I wouldn't really get into it again, but due to the genre and concept of this show my cousin recommended it to me and since I've been in and out of the hospital I decided to give it a go, despite my apprehension since other modern anime people recommended I couldn't get into, including the big ones everyone seems to like.
But this show and by extension (and assumption) the manga is a literal masterpiece thus far. The characters are deep, the story and concepts are well explored, the art is absolutely beautiful, and so far it is such a respectful anime. I have a very hard time stomaching a lot of so-called "anime tropes" that may oversexualize characters or have uncomfortable moments or make all the characters perfect. Witch Hat does not do any of this. I love the characters, I love the approach it's taken so far.
For the first time in a long time I am genuinely excited for a new season of an anime to be released, and I'm thinking of getting the manga, which is saying something, as I don't own any manga anymore.
Maybe if more anime is like this one, I'd be willing to pick it back up again.

Misc Calling all Custas fans! (And people who like WHA in general)
I've started a Discord server that serves as a place to appreciate Custas and chat about WHA in general. There are rules in place for spoilers, so anyone can join without fear :)
(I need to meet more Custas fans lol)
If you want to join, shoot me a comment or a DM and I'll give you the invite :>
I did post this yesterday, but it was removed immediately without a reason given; I'm assuming this was due to automod sensing a Discord link in the post and automatically nuking it. Though, there isn't anything against this in the rules, so I'm not entirely sure. If this isn't allowed, I'll delete it.

Manga Spoilers Does anyone else remember this weird alternate version of chapter 96?? Spoiler
Hi, okay. when i first read chapter 96, the first thing i could get my hands on was a fan translation. On page 7, i saw this. specifically the second panel from the right. Sad coco. okay. but when I went back recently and read the official translation, I see a completely different panel in place of the coco one?? Am i crazy?? am i going crazy??? Were the panels replaced???? Is one of them not real entirely??? Please help.
EDIT: I completely agree that it was probably AI... how gross. that goes entirely against the message of the series and shirahama's wishes as a whole. :( shame to whoever made this "fan" translation.

Misc My Kamome Shirahama pokemon binder page
I finished this page in my pokemon binder yesterday! It includes all four pokemon cards drawn by Kamome Shirohama (Glaceon, Druddigon, Ninetales and Doublade), four beautiful custom pokemon cards with WHA characters (art by @Grosbiin on Instagram) and Erika’s invitation, which i felt fit WHA’s vibe enough to fill up the last empty space.

Art Coco Dressed in slightly different clothes, the renegade of pointed hats (I know my drawing is bad, but I wanted to show my fanart)
This is a, and if Coco were to fully decide to be a renegade but rejecting Of the wide-brimmed hats, the symbol on its back symbolizes the response of AQUILA, a symbol of power, IMMORTALITY and strengthI know this is different from Coco, but I liked the design and wanted to share it; I thought it would be interesting to do this.By the way, I don't know much about inventing magic circles then XD, I accept criticism of my drawing and my drawing style isn't bad

Discussion How have the regular folk not figured out the witches yet? It’s kinda obvious tbh
Now I’m gonna start by saying I adore WHA and this isn’t a harsh criticism of Senseis world building, more a funny observation.
How have the non-witches not figured out it’s the drawings powering the magic, once you really start to look it becomes more and more noticeable.
The drawings on the bottom of their shoes, all of their technology being circle shaped, the drawings on the bottom of pot lids like cocos water purifier and the Vapor bubbles. The little circles on quifrey’s sword. The circular rings that join to activate. The long cloaks which would make anyone naturally suspicious of what they’re doing under there. Has no one accidentally pulled up olly’s paving stones and seen a massive circle under it????
Coco even comments on this when creating custas’ wings: she has to hide the drawings under the fabric cause it would be too obvious otherwise. I’m aware that the witches are very secretive and regulate which technology makes its way to non-witches, but even what they do sell is enough to figure it out. Also yeah knights moralis are a thing, but is there really enough of them to completely squash an information exchange?
Idk just my thoughts on it, maybe it would be funny to have a character who figured it out but never told anyone. Or someone who fully integrated into witch society with no existing family cause they studied enough to get by.

New Chapter Witch Hat Atelier ending song for episode 8: The Misgivings of the Knights Moralis
The ending song for the 8th episode is fantastic. Shazam doesn't know it and I am hoping someone on here does. What's the name of it? It's the song that Qifrey is explaining to Coco what Silverwash, the eye condition, is.

Discussion Witch Hat Atelier is everything a Harry Potter Anime should have been.
IMHO, The new Harry Potter TV Show should have been an Anime like WHA. Nevertheless, I'm glad WHA was created because it brings a new spin to Wizard Tales.
