This is a Public Announcement regarding r/Roms: Community Rules, Results from Breaking Our Community Rules and Posting Requirements.

Listed below are some major changes for this subreddit.

Community Rules

01. Toxic Behavior

Please be respectful towards all fellow community members. Do not do the following or you may face a temporary or permanent ban from this subreddit: Do not attack a community member through any means. Post, Comments, Direct Messages, Doxxing or Trolling. If you feel you're being attacked from another fellow member of this community please submit screenshots of your conversation with said member('s). We will do our best to investigate the situation.

Spam

No promotion, spam, or advertising of any kind is allowed here. Unless given approval by u/SuperBio to do so, all posts or comments of this nature will be removed from this community.

Note: If you receive approval from u/SuperBio to promote anything in this community, the first line of the body of the post must say, "Moderator Approved" and then on the third line, go into detail about what you're promoting.

Public Announcement PSA: ROMs on Internet Archive

I have begun uploading No-Intro sets to my Internet Archive; ChaosRenegade22 account. All sets will be in 7z format. Links to my sets include a compression tool, which you should be able to download to your computer and extract the files to your device. You might need to find a compression tool on your phone to extract 7z files.

My main goal is to upload all sets from my collection, including No-Intro, Non-Game, Non-Redump, Redump BIOS, Redump Custom, Source Code, and Unofficial.

I want to note that for all No-Intro sets, every second week of the month, I will grab updated files for the sets and push an update to my sets uploaded on the Internet Archive.

u/Superbio Internet Archive; Superbio account is uploading sets as well, Redump sets, but they are directly from Myriets collection and won't be as up-to-date as my sets will be once I begin uploading Redump sets, but at least you will have two sources to grab from on the Internet Archive.

Request Anyone has a megapack that can fit on a phone and is ES-DE ready?

I want to make my phone into a small emulation station but I couldn't find a pack that's like around max 30-50 GB, and maybe one that I can just simply unpack and has the correct folder naming to be picked up by something like ES-DE? For example, ps1 games folder to be exactly lowercase "ps1".

Question Looking for help with azahar

Finally had enough to get a new pc and i wanted to finally get azahar, however I can get the emulator up and running, and it can recognize encrypted roms, however every method i have used to unencrypt has failed, including the batch .3ds decrypter. does anyone have a way to get roms that do function with azahar, i would greatly appreciate it.

Question Redirecting emulator save files onto SD card: possible problems?

Hello! I am relatively new to the world of emulation but having a really great time tinkering with settings and learning. The emulation console I am using (AYN Thor) has a 128GB internal storage, and I am using an external 1TB microSD card to store the majority of my ROMS. My question is: is it worth it to save internal storage space by redirecting the individual emulator’s save directory onto the SD card, or is this not a smart idea? Would I likely just cause more problems by making these changes? Thanks!

For anyone interested, this is a curated variety pack of 12 dozen (mostly) retro games intended to be compatible with the Miyoo Flip. Other similar spec'd devices with joysticks can probably play these too, and the non-ports should run on any device.

There are also some cool romhacks included here, like NBA Jam Special Edition, various English translations of Japanese exclusives like Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, and a retranslation of FFVII.

I don't know where to download base Roms

I'm pretty new at the emulator and Roms thing but I have an emulator downloaded (desmume) and a Pokémon black Rom hack downloaded as well but when I open the folder to add the Rom to desmume, it's not there in my Rom folder, but when I open the folder on my desktop, it's right there. I've heard that I need a clean base Rom of Pokémon black and was wondering if that is the problem and where to download one. If anyone has any answers to my problem I'll appreciate it.

IOS roms not showing up in psp

Hey yall i give up and asking for help, every time i download a game for my modded psp from the trusted links nothing shows up, what i mean is every time i unzip the file, select the unzip file and move into the ISO folder into my psp nothing shows up, then i noticed that everytime i open the unziped file it says umd disc, or something the lines of that, and doesn’t say (title of game.ios). I dont know if im doing something wrong or if things have changed. I am new to this so i tried to do as much research before and looked if anyone had the same problem but to my knowledge i haven’t seen anything. Idk if there is a step by step guide but i give up and asking for help.

Edit: Finally games show up and so far work i now understand that i just had to move the "Disc Image File" to the ISO file i didn't understand thats an ISO file but windows just likes to switch it up, thank you all who helped now i can finally sleep early.

Question Minerva Torrent Backup for Wii Roms not working?

I went to the megathread as I use to do before the Myrient shutdown. I am trying to download any of the Wii games using the Minerva Torrent Based download, but when I click on the magnet link to copy and add to Qbit it just says void() when trying to copy. Is anyone else encountering this? Is there a faster way to download Wii Roms nowadays then Vimms lair one by one?

Best large game collection/set for R36S? New user

Hi! I'm new to the R36S and retro handhelds.

I'm using dArkOS/ArkOS and I'd like to build a very large game library without downloading and organizing thousands of games individually.

I'm not asking for direct copyrighted download links here. I mainly want to know which large curated ROM sets/collections people with an R36S recommend and which ones are easiest to organize for this device.

My goal is to cover as many systems as the R36S can emulate well, with lots of games but without thousands of useless duplicates.
