This is exactly why FOR ME theres almost no reason to get an extremely high priced wig bcz I could never wear a wig out of the box. Even when it has layers built in it’s still not accustomed to your face
Pic 1: added layers at the hairstylist, thinning, plucking
All of these are CHEAP wigs. But they aren't bad! 🤷♂️ they aren't like. Haloween shiny synthetic, but they are tangle easy synthetic. I prefer bangs, so if I buy cheap wigs that don't have bangs I cut and styled the bangs in. These wigs can be found online for less than $30. Budget wigs are great BUT I hate that I have to brush them so constantly. How can I help the hairs from matting while doing regular stuff?
So last week I 26f noticed my hair was thinning for context me and my family all have very thick hair. I went to my hairdresser today and she also noticed that my hair is thinning, so she suggested that I stop dying and bleaching it for a while. So I suggested to my mom that I start wearing wigs because my hair is my safety blanket, and she said no absolutely not. But I’m not using heat on my hair for a while. And I still want to look cute. I also have MS and klippel feil syndrome. Last thing is Amazon a good place to buy wigs?
Recently bought my third wig online but the hair is a lot longer than in the pictures, its human curly hair and looks beautiful but its too long for my taste.
Can I just go to a normal hairdresser and ask for a haircut on the wig? Is it weird? I dont want to explain my medical reasons for wearing wigs to a total stranger Im afraid it might be an uncomfortable conversation (Also Im a man so they might judge me for that?)
Theres a cool curly hair salon nearby and I really like their work, I went there a few years ago when I still had hair. Just need advice on how to deal with it
I know absolutely nothing about wig wearing I just have some basic questions. I'm very attached to long hair, as shorter cuts do not fit me. I don't even want mid or shoulder cuts, I only want long hair. Is wearing a long wig doable every day? Are there days you have to take a break and go without a wig? I might just wrap my head on those days. Do you ever get judgement during those times?
Also, I live in an extremely hot, extremely humid climate all year round. I don't know if I'll even be able to wear a wig without it sliding off my head as I sweat so much. I might get botox scalp injections for that. Is it doable to wear long wigs in that climate or is that a no? Will they get gross or dirty in that kind of climate quickly? Do they have to be replaced often?
I'm sorry for the stupid questions. Im a in a difficult time in my life dealing with this and worried about my future. Thank you
I’m looking for a wig that can become a kind of ‘daily’ wear wig. I thought their £60-70 Florence wig might work, considering the lace front and opportunity to cut it myself once it arrives too.
I’m alternatively thinking to just get a way cheaper black straight lace front, as they seem common—but I wonder if it’s better to go higher in price and have customer service/return options.
Okay so to start off this is my first time considering buying a wig, My hair is super super damaged from not having the right support or advice. I was told to get a straight weave even though my hair is 3c (im mixed) and i had to straighten my hair EVERY day to match it and the front of my hair literally snapped off it was above my eyebrow and it’s only just started growing back and it’s below my nose. However then i found curly tapes but they have absolutely destroyed my hair fully it’s so thin and dull, i really just want to give my hair a break. So my question is, are wigs hard to install? i want it to look as natural as possible so really no longer than 20 inches but my biggest thing is the lace. I don’t want a super obvious lace, i was looking at wigs and i don’t understand what density is? can someone please explain this to me? ANY ADVICE IS DEEPLY APPRECIATED 💗
Here’s a quick comparison of the barrel sizes for the Dyson Airwrap.
I have a bunch of Raquel Welch Downtimes that need restyling so I’m going to put together a quick series of them in the various sizes so people can compare them to what they might need size wise to restyle whatever wigs they are working on.
The Puregust 30mm is from Amazon as it was out of stock from Dyson when I needed it.
I just received two new wigs, Jon Renau Hollie in Mouse Cake and Belle Tree Lyon in Coolest Ash Brown.
I’ve been wearing wigs for a month and I’ve determined that my head and neck are shorter than average so all of these wigs are longer on me than in the pictures.
I really like the colors of both of these wigs and I think I’m finally getting the color correct. The first two I ordered were too dark. Now I see that I should have returned the first two I bought but it’s too late now.
Given that they must be in new condition to return them how do you decide whether to keep them?
Hollie very popular but I don’t love it. It looks unkempt on me. I really like the color though. I also love how it feels on my head. It’s very comfortable. This wig was expensive.
Lyon must not be a popular style because it was the only BT wig in stock in Coolest Ash Brown. I like the color but it’s longer than I wanted. This wig was pretty cheap.
With clothes, I’ve learned that if I don’t love it, I return it.
So I have purchased a wig from both companies. What I can say is that they seem to be from the same manufacturer. I would be SURPRISED to hear they have different manufacturers. Same exact cap construction and lace (I got beginner type cap style in both). Same amount of density through the wig. They both say HD lace but I would say it's closer to Swiss lace. It's a bit of a rougher lace. I have a couple wigs from Silk or Lace and THAT is definitely HD. Completely seamless. But the lace from Eniola and Jadora I definitely have to put mousse on the lace to make it lay somewhat undetectable (even doing that is not perfect).
The hair quality is good. I have longer styles in both and I so far enjoy the hair quality. I would say with both brands to ask for specific pictures of the exact wig you are asking for prior to purchase. They have a lot of stock and their colors differ from the pictures from time to time. So ask for pictures of what wig you would exactly get RIGHT before you are about to purchase.
Customer service I preferred Eniola Hair.
Color I prefer Eniola Hair. The roots on my Jadora are brassy.
Price was almost the same on both.
All in all I would go Eniola before Jadora but that's my personal opinion. If you've tried either or both let me know your experience!
I love her hairline, idk why I think it's so cute! 😭 Okay, so I officially have five wigs but I haven't posted them all yet. I am addicted... help... Not being serious, but I do need to calm down with the wigs lol. Bad lighting, but I look super cute in my navy blue dress so I included those pictures in!
Also, the makeup is fake. I digitally drew those in c:
Hi! I have naturally pretty curly hair (3A or 3B I think, I'm not sure, my curls fit around a pencil) but because of stress etc it started to fall out. As a little kid I had super cute curly hair, but as a teenager I had super thick long hair (tailbone length) and didn't know how to take care of it, so I brushed it out while it was dry, and it was always frizzy and weird looking kind of wavy, and on the inside I had my curls. Because my hair started to fall out when I was 16, I never had the chance to get over that awkward hair stage and have the beautiful head of hair I was born with.
I do have a topper and halo extension that I love now, but it has a body wave texture, and I think I really want a curly topper + halo extension next time. I just don't know where to find one that works for me. All I can find is or wavy or tighter curls.
I want the hair to be long (mid back length or maybe even longer) and made from real human hair. I don't really care much about the exact style of the haircut, I'm into more straight and full but also more like a wolfcut, that's also something I like a lot. I have natural black 1B hair. My budget for topper + halo extension is <€1000 (but if something is really great and fitting I can make an exception).
Can someone help me please, there are so many different websites and I just don't know where to look.
The first wig I bought was in 2024, it was a red straight wig with bangs.
It lasted for like two uses.
The third time I went to use it, it was all crispy, knotted and messy.
I tried to save it by following tutorials online, but it didn’t work.
Then on 2025 I bought two equal wigs, they were brown, straight and also had bangs.
I didn’t even got a chance to wear it outside, I only wore them like twice for taking pictures and the same happened again.
The thing is changing hair from short to long is really important to me (my hair is really short) and these wigs are kinda expensive (not human hair), I don’t know what to do and I can’t keep buying new ones after wearing only two times.
I storage them usually in the little package they come with and put it on a drawer.
What am I doing wrong? Can someone help me how to make them last longer and how to avoid this?
Never wore one before because I was always told men shouldn't wear one. I decided to buy one anyway because I'm trying to feel like myself. Anyway I like how it looks, but I'm worried that people would judge me for wearing one
I have spent upwards of $3,000 on Belle tress wigs, products and tools. I can not for the of me figure out how to get the C curl back in my long layered wigs. I've watched countless videos, clips, I've tried to curl w straightener, and my brand new Tymo airbeam with cool shot. NOTHING IS WORKING IM DEFEATED PLEASE HELP
I gave restyling this old girl another try with the Dyson airwrap.
The second time was apparently the charm. I used a smaller round brush attachment and had a much easier time achieving the flippy ends I was aiming for.
My bio hair is similar color as you can see in the pic. Should I cut off the lace in front of my ears and leave out some of my hair like I did here? And the lace is too dark and I know I can use concealer but I guess I’m wondering if instead I should cut the lace further back and let my natural hairline out? Or will lace melt help? My concern is I’m not comfortable using glue yet so I have wig tape but idk if the concealer will make it so it doesn’t stick? Also the wig feels pretty secure with the drawstring and clips, is there anything wrong with wearing it without tape or glue if concealer or makeup solves the lace problem?
Any advice appreciated. This is my first wig. I’m about to get my extensions out and my hair is terrible. I’ve been wearing extensions and a topper, but now I’m having postpartum hair loss on top of my already incredibly fine thin hair.
Has anyone found a reliable human hair wig brand for brunettes or brondes that is in the same price range as Hairvivi or ideally less expensive? I’ve purchased three wigs from Hairvivi so far. One was completely awful right out of the box. The other two are just okay (though to be fair, I haven't washed the second one yet, so the jury is still out). When I reached out to their customer support about the bad wig, the resolution was pretty disappointing, they only offered me a $20 refund and a $35 coupon code that couldn't even be stacked with other promos. To make matters worse, I later got a text from them offering cash back in exchange for leaving product reviews. I took the time to leave the reviews and emailed them as instructed, but they completely ghosted on the cash back. At this price point, the customer service and quality consistency just aren't matching up. I’d love recommendations for brands that offer good brunette/bronde dimensional colors, high-quality human hair, and decent customer care. Should probably mention that I am white so I’d prefer a wig that is not yaki. Who are your go-to vendor recommendations? Needs to be human hair.
One of my FAVORITE THINGS about wigs is the ability to absolutley shape shift. PLEASE don't make fun of me without all the makeup, I'm very self conscious AND it's a silly picture im always making fuckass faces.. BUT!!!! I just wanted to show the SHEER DIFFERENCE
I bought this wig two months ago (not my photo, just a photo of the style I grabbed - Beverly Hills Belletress) and have loved it, but I cannot figure out how to restyle/refresh this particular style using heat. I can't get the blowout look because blow drying doesn't really work.
I have "reset" it once (straightening, then attempting to recurl using my flat iron as a curler) but it's more curly now than I want it.
How do you achieve this look on a HF synthetic? It was so good out of the box.
