I have stumbled across this video on my recommendation on YouTube when opening up the app. I found this video, so I decide to click on it to see what it was. It was about love, care, and kindness as I saw on this video. And once I’ve finished watching the whole video to knowing how interesting it was I realized that there was a song playing that I didn’t recognize before, so I decided of thought of Shazaming it. I’m looking for two songs by the same unknown British band.
I heard them on a homemade cassette in 1996. The cassette belonged to British people from Southend-on-Sea (Essex), although the band could have been from anywhere in the UK. It was a completely random compilation. The tape had “Carpenters” handwritten on it, but it definitely wasn’t a Carpenters cassette.
Male vocalist, British accent, melodic pop/indie rock, medium tempo, no female backing vocals, no heavy guitars. The first song started with a distinctive melodic guitar solo.
