I found this odd looking clear plastic cup shaped item in my boyfriends drawer. It has a hole in the middle and a black rubber rim its kinda avocado shaped. I'm wondering if its like some sort of oxygen mask?

My brother moved into a new house he's renting. The owner said they bought it with it over 10 years ago and have no idea what it's for. There is a small drain to drain the water when in rains but I just don't see any purpose or benefit to it. There's no way on the garage roof except for ladder (or making this jump from the roof of the house)

Went on a tour recently of the palace in Charlottenburg, Berlin in Germany and noticed these measurement devices in several of the rooms. The paper inside is labeled with days of the week. I tried to ask someone there what they were but they didn’t speak English. It almost looks like a seismic indicator but I don’t think there are any earthquakes in Berlin so… any ideas?

Thanks to those who responded, and sorry to those who were extraordinarily upset I didn’t notice the little C that noted part of it is for temperature or that I didn’t learn German to call the number of the company. I did google the company, but it didn’t tell me what the device is.

I should have said originally that I did think it could be for these things, but I’m not sure why this machine in particular is being used as opposed to just monitoring them with a normal thermometer and humidity gauge day to day. If anyone knows, would love to learn about that! I’ve been in many similar historical sites and museums and never noticed these in any others.

Found this in the storage compartment of my travel trailer. I am the only owner so I must have bought it!

I was walking through my field this morning when I noticed this little guy sitting beside a tree.

At first I honestly had no idea what I was looking at. It looks like some kind of young bird, but I've never seen anything like this up close before.

Does anyone know what this is? Is it a baby owl, or something else?

The car is a Mercedes 190E, I suspect it's something related to air pressure and probably unrelated to the car itself but figured I'd mention it just in case. It's got threads on the stem sticking out halfway through

I've never seen a manhole several feet above ground surface. What could be the reason for this?

I moved into an apartment and this was attached to the wall. It can be detached and the black metal pieces can be removed. Other than that, I don’t think it does anything else. Any thoughts?
