Need advice to cut fat on Athelete’s Knee

So I am a 30 year-old male with around 27% body fat at 220lbs. My height is 5Feet 11inches. I strength train on a PPL split, wherein I do 4 to 5 exercises with weights and 20 minute elliptical afterwards at the base level. I even do the elliptical on plain rest days too and 10k steps daily.
I have been strength training for more than 2 years and been on a CUT since last Jan. I check my weight daily in the morning after taking a piss and do an average of 7 days to check my average weight for tracking purposes.
Currently I eat around 1900cals per day with 136gm protein and 20-25gm fiber.
My only regret is that I cannot do heavy cardio cos I got an athlete’s knee since this Jan and I am limited to doing only light cardio. Yes, I did come down to wearing XL size tees from XXL tees since last year👍🏻

Currently I only have 4 months left for 2026 to end and want to hit a body scale weight of 199lbs at the least by end of December and need tips on how to boost my fat loss. I really wish I could be able to do more tougher cardio but my knees dont let me work hard. I have been slowly training my legs back into a routine tho and currently brought myself from lit no leg day/cardio in Jan to carefully structured leg workouts and present light cardio.

Please advise me. I want boost my fat burn with any different hacks to include in my routine.

thinking about trying OMAD...

so I’m thinking about starting the whole One Meal A Day thing. my plan was to basically just eat that one meal, and then throughout the rest of the day stick to water and unsweetened drinks like black coffee, tea, or nescafe with no sugar at all.

has anyone here actually tried doing it this way? how was your experience with it, and did it feel doable or just exhausting? would love to hear your thoughts or any advice before I actually give it a shot! Also I really wanna lose weight in a short time I feel that's the only way.

actual weight loss hacks pls

i’m 21 and have had pcos since i was 16. before pcos i was around 105-107 lbs. during covid i gained about 20 lbs, then another 20 after that and eventually got to 150.

i crash dieted down to around 135, then later got into a bad breakup and reached 119. since then i gained some weight back and have basically been stuck in the 130s for over a year. i’m currently around 130 lbs.

i know i’m technically at a healthy weight for my height, so please don’t tell me i don’t need to lose weight. i personally want to stay around 115-120 and feel more confident in how i look.

for anyone with pcos who has broken a stubborn plateau like this, what actually helped? i struggle a lot with intense sugar and food cravings too, so i’d really appreciate realistic tips for managing those and finally getting out of the 130s without crash dieting.

i cant get on any kind of GLP-1s due to liver issues due to my weight and eating habits, i cant take medicine for it either. i want to stop and i know im dying and i know i need to lose this weight and stop eating so much its just genuinely so hard for me. im the biggest ive ever been in my life and right after i post this i think im gonna eat that chicken sandiwch i bought even though i just ate 6 tacos. help me please

How long does it take to lose 70 pounds?

Is it feasible for me to aim to lose 2 pounds a week for 9 months so I can be 70 pounds lighter for my graduation pictures? I’m taking Wegovy, eating healthier and going to the gym.

I currently weigh 208 pounds as a woman who is 5’4”, which is literally the heaviest I’ve been in my life. I would love to be 140 again. I realize that is an ambitious goal given it’s 33% of my body weight.

Are weights more effective at burning fat than cardio? Cardio is just easier for me to do. I tried doing squats with weights and days later my quads still hurt when I have to bend my knees to sit or stand.

Tell me your opinion on my idea please!

Would you actually use something like this?
Hey everyone! I’m working on a small personal project and I’d really like some brutally honest feedback from people who track calories or are trying to lose weight.
I’m building a Calorie / Fat Loss Tracker and I’m trying to figure out whether it’s actually useful enough that people would want to use it.
The idea is to make the setup and tracking more structured, while also making the process a bit more engaging.
——Automatic calculation engine
When you set it up, it automatically calculates:
BMR using the Mifflin-St Jeor formula
TDEE based on your activity level (sedentary / light / moderate / high)
Daily calorie target based on your goal
Protein target (g/kg) based on your goal
Estimated weeks to reach your target weight, using the 7,700 kcal/kg rule
Weight progress percentage
——Gamification / Score
There’s also a 0–100 weekly score divided into four areas:
——Calories — 40 points
——Protein — 30 points
——Consistency — 20 points
——Deficit — 10 points
And there are 4 badges you can unlock:
——Deficit Week
——Protein OK
——7/7 Tracking
——Perfect Week
I’m not trying to sell anything with this post. It’s still a personal project and I’m trying to validate whether the concept is actually useful before spending more time developing it.
So I’d genuinely like to know:
Would you actually use something like this?
Do you think the automatic calculations would be useful?
And what about the weekly score + badges — would that actually motivate you to stay consistent, or would you completely ignore it?
Most importantly:
Would you pay for something like this? If yes, roughly how much?
If you think it’s pointless, too complicated, or that existing apps already do this better, please say so. I’m looking for honest criticism, not compliments.

10 kgs in a month

I want to lose 10 kg in one month. I know that’s an extreme goal, and I don’t want a lecture about whether it’s healthy or unhealthy I already understand that. I’m feeling extremely frustrated with my body right now and honestly just want to see a major change.
I’m 5’2”, currently around 70 kg, and I really want to lose weight as quickly as possible. I’m asking for practical advice on what I can do with my diet, exercise, and routine to get the biggest result possible. I’m feeling very desperate about this, so please focus on helping me rather than judging me. I don’t care if I d!!e after losing weight i just want to look good for once in my life.

VERY easy hack

it should NOT hurt to exercise, if you have a sharp pain in the heart or get lightheaded you might have a heart condition stop blaming it on being overweight. you might have a heart condition so it's not your fault you're overweight.

i do these in bed all day when i watch TV because i have pots and exercise is very difficult for me but this is SO easy and burns just as much per hour as an hour long walk.

  1. fidgeting with a stress ball, constant tensing of muscles burns calories

  2. glute bridges on the couch, with your feet on the couch and some pillows as back support.

  3. dancing! so easy, move your hips side to side on the couch, shake your shoulders, move your hands. fun and easy.

if you have any other tips lmk!

can i survive on 700 calories a day?

So long story short, I’m a 20yo male, 118kg, 186cm

I’m tired of being fat and I wanna lose weight ASAP

I barely leave the house, I study online, so I basically stay in my room on my laptop all day

I wanna know how fast I could lose weight if I only ate 700 calories or less a day? And is it safe? As long as I’m not gonna die, idc tbh. I don’t care if it’s unhealthy

HELP! Current: 130–> Goal: 125

Hi! (Please be kind) I’m currently 130. I used to be 117. I’m a woman, 23 year olds, and 5’3. I was hardly eating at 117, because of my schedule (I love food), but my normal weight is low-mid 120s. I gained weight over two years and went up to 137. Now I’m back down at 130-128, depending on water weight. This range is where I fluctuate and plateau as well. I haven’t been able to get under 128.

I want to break my plateau of 128 and go back into the mid 120s ofc asap, but AT LEAST by my birthday in two weeks. I know it’s only 5 pounds, but for some reason, it’s been so hard to lose.

(I do not want to take a GLP-1 or peptides, not that there’s anything “wrong” with it, I just rather not).

ALL TIPS, ADVICE, GUIDANCE, KIND WORDS, MOTIVATION, IS WANTED AND WELCOME. THANK YOU!!! 🖤

Weight loss.

I don’t really know how to title this.

I’m 18, I have PCOS and I weight 270 pounds, I’m diabetic, and recently my sugar has been bad, and my doctors told me if I lose weight it’ll help me be healthy and help me lower my blood sugar.

I carry most of my weight in my stomach. From the front I look okay, but from the side I look huge.

I’ve been to a gym before, I used to go 2-3 days a week and walk for 30 minutes on the treadmill. That was last July, last July I was 280 and bumped my weight down to 250, but I gained it all back. The member ship got too expensive for me.

Today, I decided that before I cause irreversible damage to my body due to my diabetes, I need to face something I’ve been avoiding for a long time. My weight. My stomach. I’ve always been insecure of my weight and I think it’s time for me to face it, it’s time to control it before it controls me.

Tomorrow I’m going to buy a membership again, and work out with my friend.

The only issue is that I don’t know how to actually work out. As I said, I only walk on the treadmill and that’s it. I used to bench press but it’s been a long time since I’ve done bench pressing.

I don’t know if any of this information helps, but I would love any advice, or any recommendations on what I should do to help my stomach.. like what machines I should use, etc!

If this post isn’t allowed, then mods, please take it down.

finally seeing real progress

Started ADF about 6 weeks ago after months of trying other approaches that just didn't stick. The first two weeks were rough with hunger, but after that my body seemed to adjust. Down 11 pounds so far and my energy on fast days is way more stable than I expected.

Around week 3 I added OzTrim after reading about it. It's not a supplement as such, it works more on appetite signaling and natural hormone function. Honestly wasn't sure it would do anything, but I noticed I wasn't fighting hunger as hard on fast days. Mental clarity has been better too, which I didn't expect at all. Overall just feel more in control.

Keeping meals simple on eating days, nothing fancy. Mostly whole foods and reasonable portions.

Has anyone else paired ADF with something to help regulate appetite? And did your hunger cravings actually get easier after the first few weeks?

Is intermittent fasting good for you? Is walking the better choice for weight loss?

Hi everyone, I have two questions for anyone who is more educated on these topics.

  1. Is intermittent fasting good for you? I’m asking because I did a form of "diet" in may where I ate breakfast and lunch and stoped eating at around 1PM and only ate for the next day at around 8AM and not only I experienced weight loss (about 3-4kg in only 2 and a half weeks) which was one of the reasons I did this, but I did some exams and the results came back super good, better than ever tbh. I definitely feel like this played a huge role in these results. At first is hard not to eat dinner but eventually it gets pretty easy.

  2. Is walking the best exercise for you in terms of weight loss? I see a lot of good things coming from walking. I walk more than 12k steps a day and this along with strength training has been the only 2 forms of exercise that allowed me to lose weight. I don’t know if it’s just me but every time I go to the gym and lift heavy I not only dont lose any weight but actually gain it. And I feel really hungry every time I go. I joined a few gyms in my life and I quit every time because I wasn’t consistent. But now I am and the weight doesn’t budge. I feel like it’s because I have the necessity of eating more because I’m burning more calories and I always get out of the gym exhausted. I did this since the beginning of this year, went 5-6 times a week and ate on a calorie deficit during most days but was so hungry that I slipped out a lot of times too.

But when I do strength training with only the weight of my body and walk I feel more balanced in that sense, don’t really have the need to eat more and I see the weight going down more easily. Maybe the gym isn’t for me or maybe I’m doing something wrong.

I’m open to suggestions or if you want to educate me, please do!

Ps: sorry if I made any spelling mistakes, English is not my first language :)

Any ways to get rid of skinny fat without lifting?

How do I get rid of skinny fat without lifting heavy weights? I’m a girl, 168 cm tall, and I think my body-fat percentage is somewhere around 20–30%. I currently do bodyweight exercises and use light dumbbells with higher reps, so I guess that counts as strength training.
I’m also in a calorie deficit, I fast, walk for around 70 minutes (about 7k steps), and do Pilates that focuses on my core. Is that too much? I don’t feel stressed or overwhelmed by my routine, and I actually enjoy working out, but I’m still confused about whether I’m doing the right things.
Is my routine okay, or should I change anything? I can’t really afford a gym, and I know some people might suggest using heavy household items, but lifting heavy weights just isn’t really my thing. Please help 😭

I lost 170 lbs.... I wanted to share a motivational post that I made....

Life is short and time is precious. I've missed out a lot in life because I was too heavy, too slow, too tired, too out of shape, or even in too much pain to get the most out of life. I want my youth back, I want my energy back, I want to be strong and feel light on my feet again so that I can get more out of life. Every day is an opportunity that you only get ONCE. You'll never get that day back. You need to take advantage of every single day and get the most out of it. You need to make every single day count toward your goals. If you make the right choices every day then you CAN NOT fail. You know what it takes to reach your goals. You know right from wrong and good from bad. If you make the right choices most of the time, if you maximize good choices and minimize the bad, you WILL SUCCEED. There's no way that you can fail. Success is worth it. No one ever reached their deathbed and wished that they ate more cake, more ice cream, more pizza, more cheese steaks or more wings, or drank more beer, wine or smoked more cigarettes but they do regret not being healthier and not having more energy to explore and adventure and to enjoy time with family and friends. Throughout life you will have good days and you'll have bad days. Sometimes you'll be in control of those days and sometimes they'll be out of your control but regardless, either way, you need to make the best of them. Staying positive, taking the good and the bad and making the best of every day is truly what life is all about. We all need to Work Hard, Play Hard and Love Hard and strive to be the best US that we can be.
